SEMINAR ON VIVEKANANDA’S THOUGHTS

ITANAGAR, Aug 11: Swami Vivekananda Sardha Shati Samaroh Samiti of VKV Kuporijo organized a seminar on the relevance of Swami Vivekananda’s thoughts in today’s context to commemorate his 150th birth anniversary at VKV Kuporijo yesterday.



Inaugurating the seminar, Deputy Commissioner Tahang Taggu called upon people to imbibe Swamiji’s ideals in true spirit so that an ideal social order is created. He also exhorted the parents and teachers to teach their children to work for the society and appealed all to be punctual in their work.

Lardik Kare, General Secretary of Tagin Cultural Society while moderating the seminar gave a few examples from his personal life on the thoughts of Swamiji.

Kalyanam Bharadwaj, Sr. teacher of the school spoke in brief and explained about the different ayams of the celebrations through which the message of Swamiji is taken to the nook and corner of the society.

Earlier, A Krishnan, Principal of the school appealed all to participate in the year long celebration.

There were 7 papers presented by the elites of the society.

The programme was attended by Tabin Siga, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Dumporijo, Shami Timba, DPO, Daporijo, Jumni Ligu, LEO, Daporijo, Tadam Lida, a public leader of the area, GBs and Ex VKVians, parents and well wishers.

The programme was organized by the Prabuddha Ayam of VKV Kuporijo under the guidance of Pania Hankar and Dr. Kishori Poddar.
