VKV Kallubalu May Month Activity Report

A month long  Teachers’ orientation programme started on 1 May 2019. Spoken English, Activity based learning, Shlokas and Prayers, academic preparation for the next session were the part of the training. 10 teachers took part in the training.

On 2nd May, classes were started for class VIII to X. Dr.T.G.K. Murthy ji, Distinguished scientist, ISRO and well-wisher of Vivekananda Kendra motivated the students towards striving for higher goals through his address. He mentioned, the students must think always “I will do good for the society and nation”. Also he interacted with the teachers and insisted upon the greater role of teachers.

On 3rd May, a live Demo on Digital Photography by Srinivas kumar was attended by 55 participants. A 3600 photo of Vidyalaya was captured. Web caste of the same was viewed by 1400 people.

Samskaravarga Prashikshan Shibir was conducted from 14th to 24th May. Adharneeya Lalita didi and Adharneeya Gayathri didi guided the Varg Shikshaks to improve the quality and quantity of sanskar vargas. 16 varga shikshaks participated.

On 18th, Samskara varga was conducted  in 8 villages.  Number of students attended 170.

On 19th, trekking and Nature walk was organized from Kallubalu to Bannerughatta forest through Madappanadoddi and Kasuvinakute village. Interaction with the villagers, study of herbal medicine were the part of the programme. 25 students from VKV and 30 people from Banglore city were the participants.

On 25.05.2019, a demo  class was arranged for teachers. Topic:  Qualities of a teacher and  Parasparam Bhavayantaha, an innovative way of coming to mutual understanding between students and teachers was discussed.
 
From 27th  to 30th May, Transcendental Meditation course was conducted by Mr.Kishoreji and Mrs. Aruna ji, 40 students from class VIII to X and 6 teachers attended the programme.

International Day of Yoga Gujarat

Vivekanada Kendra Gujarat Prant has celebrated 'International Yoga Day' program on 21.06.2019 at Various places. Our trained karyakartas have contacted School /college Staff and demostrated the Yoga. At the end of each program ,  Vivekananda Kkendra Parichay was given . In some places, book stall was also organised. Total 26 program were conducted  in which 3770 people have been participated.
Prominants Programs in industry were  L & T knowledge city  (Vadodara), Spaculus Software Pvt. Ltd. (Alkapuri, Vadodara), while in academics field Gujarat Technology University, (Gandhinagar), Govt Polytechnic College, (Ahmedabad),Adani School (Ahmedabad), School run by Prayosha Pratisthan in Vavvashi Kshettra of Dang District,
 K K Shastri college MCA college (Ahmedabad) and SAL Engineering College (Ahmedabad).

Sevavrati Karyakarta Prashikshan Shibir

The Sevavrati karyakarta Prashikshan shibir started on evening of 18th May 2019 with Bhajan Sandhya. Total 12 participants from 7 Prants – Rajasthan (1 brother), Madhya Prant (2 brothers, 1 sister), Assam (1 Sister), Gujrat (3 brothers), Arunachal Pradesh (1 brother), Maharashtra (1 sister, 1 brother), Haryana (1 brother) attended the shibir.

Mananeeya A Balakrishnan ji, Vice President – Vivekananda Rock Memorial and Vivekananda Kendra inaugurated the Shibir on 19th May. The participants also got the blessings of Kendra elders Mananeeya Nivedita didi, Mananeeya Bhanudasji, Mananeeya Hanumantharao ji, Mananeeya Pravin ji and Mananeeya Kishorji through various sessions. Various lecture sessions were held on the topics – Bharatmata Jagadguru, Rishi Karya hi hamara karya, Hamara karya – Chamu nirman, Vivekananda Kendra ki avashyakta, Hamari Vijayee Parampara, Karyakarta Acharan and Karyakarta Vyavahar, Maulik Seva. This year 7 lecture sessions were held on the lives of national heroes, highlighting the qualities of a Karyakarta – Sri Krishna, Adi Shankaracharya, Chhatrapati Shivaji, thakur Sri Ramakrishna, Swami Vivekananda, Bhagini Nivedita and Mananeeya Eknathji. Kum. Meera Kulkarni, Kum Pranjali Yerikar, Smt Kalpana Mehta, Kum Nilakshi borgohain, Sri Shivpujan ji, Sri Lokesh Keshre and Sri Ravi Naidu were the other resource persons for the camp. Aadarneeya Angirasji (Mamaji) inspired the participants with his continuous presence and interactions during entire duration of the camp.

Apart from the lecture sessions, the Manthan were held mostly on chapters of Sadhana of Service and Goal and the Way. The daily Patheya sessions were meant to give a clear insight into the modalities of Kendra works practical and organizational  dimensions like Kendra’s Parichay, 5 Utsavas, karyapaddhati, Abhiyan (Subscription, Patron and Arunachal Bandhu parivar), Organisational Structure and 15 Point reporting. The participants’ clarity in mantra Chanting and various padawali songs was enhanced and fine tuned in the Daily geet/mantra practice session. The participants were also exposed to the 10 day Yoga Satra pattern of Kendra in the mornings after the Pratahsmaran. As the Rashtriya Karyakarta Shibir was going on at the same time in the campus, the Sevavrati shibir participants  used to attend the Pratahsmaran, Geeta chanting, Bhajan Sandhya and evening Sanskar Varga-Kendra Varga along with RKPS participants.

The Shibir concluded on 28th May afternoon after the Aahuti udbodhan from Mananeeya Kishor ji, All India joint Gen. Secy. of VRM & VK.
