All India Yoga Shibir at Kanyakumari

VK Kanyakumari 20120505 t0 20120519 Yoga Shiksha ShibirLike every year, VK Kanyakumari conducted Yoga Shibir from 5th May to 19 May 2012 at its Training Centre. 59 participants from all over India participated in the Shibir. There were also participants from Australia and Germany.
In Yogabhyas, Breathing exercises, Suryanamaskar, Asanas and Pranayama were practiced. Also amongst the Shatkriyas, Jal Neti, Waman Dhauti, Tratak, Kapalbhati and Agnisar Kriya were practiced.
During the Camp, lecture sessions were held on : Concept and types of Yoga, Raja Yoga, Bhakti Yoga, Karma Yoga, Jnan Yoga, Bhagavad Gita, Swami Vivekananda, Eknathji Ranade, Story of Vivekananda Rock Memorial, Kendra Prarthana, Indian Culture, Challenges before Yoga way of life, Pursuit of Happiness, Vivekananda Kendra movement and its activities. A Special session was held on the forth coming: Sardha Shati Samaroh – 150th Anniversary of Swamiji.
Daily Manthan was held on the Lectures or from the Book : “ Rousing call to the Hindu Nation” and participants did presentations.
During Geet Abhyas, practice of Bhagavad Gita Chanting, Shlokas, Stotras, songs, bhajans was held. Also the meaning of some prayers and stotras were explained.
Omkar Dhyan and Cyclic Meditation were practiced.
Devotional session – Bhajan Sandhya -  with melodious music was a daily practice in the evening.
Happy Assembly at night was the time for unwinding and sharing the talents by the participants. Many games were held then. Also participants presented a beautiful Drama from Ramayana. Also Yoga demonstrations.
During the camp, visits were made to Vivekananda Rock Memorial, Kanyakumari Temple, Suchindram Temple, Bharat Gramodaya Darshan Park, Vivekananda Pictorial Exhibition, Gangotri and Wandering Monk Exhibition. Participants’ also visited Marut Malai hill, trekking to the top.
In all the Camp was organized in a congenial atmosphere with moderate discipline. Many participants have expressed their desire to work for the society, for the Sardh Shati Samaroh through Vivekananda Kendra.

Science Exhibition Training Camp at Umrangso

Vivekananda Kendra Shiksha Prasar Vibhag, Assam organised a Science Exhibition Training camp at Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya (NEEPCO), Umrangso, Assam for the students of different Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalayas on 8th, 9th and 10th May 2012. On the first two days, the students were given training in various experiments in science and on 10th May trained students performed in front of other students and other schools (GARAMPANI GOVT. HIGH SCHOOL and KOPILI HIGH SCHOOL). For this purpose 30 students were selected from classes IX and X standard. The resource persons were Sri R.N. Dixit, lecturer in Sivaji Vidya Mandir Junior Science College and State Coordinator (Maharashtra) of National Children’s Science Congress, and Smt. Manjusha Dixit, Lecturer in Geography at Kanya Vidyalaya, Pune.

Yoga pratiman shibir from 8 may to 13 Mayविवेकानन्द केन्द्र कन्याकुमारी मध्य प्रदेश द्वारा योग प्रतिमान का प्रशिक्षण शिविर का आयोजन कार्यकर्ताओं के लिये किया गया. योग प्रतिमान प्रशिक्षण शिविर मे शिक्षकों के लिये समर्थ शिक्षक उन्मुखिकरण कार्यशाला तथा विद्यालयीन बच्चों के लिये परीक्षा दे हWसते - हWसते का प्रशिक्षण दिया गया. योग प्रतिमान प्रशिक्षण शिविर मे योग, प्रेरणा से पुनरुत्थान, गण चर्चा, खेल तथा योग प्रतिमान समर्थ और परीक्षा दे हWसते - हWसते पर मार्गदर्शन दिया गया और प्रशिक्षणार्थिओं का अभ्यास वर्ग हुआ. कार्यकर्ता प्रशिक्षण शिविर मे मध्य प्रदेश के कुल ३०  कार्यकर्ता‌ओ ने भाग लिया.

VK Mangalore : Annual Activity Report

Dakshina Kannada District ( Mangalore) :
Participants of Youth Camp, Karnatakaa)  Cultural examinations were conducted on Swami Vivekananda’s Life and Message at 28 colleges in Mangalore District, 982 students wrote the examination.
b) 1 Day Youth Leadership camp was conducted at Vamadapadavu, Bantwala in Mangalore district, 126 students from 7 colleges attended. Sri Kumblekar Mohankumar, Sri Aravinda Prasad, Sri Suresh and Su. Sujata conducted the camps.   

Udupi District:

a) Cultural examinations were conducted on Swami Vivekananda’s Life and Message at 13 colleges in Udupi District, 700+ students  wrote the examination.

Participants of Vijay Poorna Vijay program at Brahmavar, Karnataka b) One Day Youth Convention was organised  at 5 places ( Kapu, Brahmavara, Udupi, Byndoor and Kundapura). In each convention, nearly 100 students attended.

VIJAYA POORNA VIJAYA – RESIDENTIAL YOUTH CAMP
3 Days Residential Youth Camp ( Vijaya poorna vijaya ) was conducted at A V Baliga College, Brahmavara on 26th to 29th of January 2012. Ma. Balakrishanji, Vice President inaugurated the shibir. Sri Raghupathi Bhat, M L A of Udupi  and Sri Namadeva Shenoy, Freedom fighter were Chief Guests. 88 students from 10 colleges and 20 Karyakaratas participated in shibir.  
Rural Libraray started at Shankaranarayana and Byndoor. Swadhya Varga started at Udupi, Byndoor,  7 places started monthly baitak after shibir.

कार्यकर्ता प्रशिक्षण शिविर का आयोजन

सदा विवेकानन्दमयम्


कार्यकर्ताओं के कौशल्य का विकास एवं संगठनात्मक कार्य के वृद्धि हेतु विवेकानन्द केन्द्र, शाखा-नागपुर द्वारा स्थानिय कार्यकर्ता प्रशिक्षण शिविर का आयोजन किया गया । शिविर स्वामी विवेकानन्द की १५० वीं जयन्ती (स्वामी विवेकानन्द सार्ध शती) के उपलक्ष्य में "सदा विवेकानन्दमयम" के विषय पर आधारित था ।
कार्यकर्ताओं के सर्वांगीण विकास हेतु शिविर में विभिन्न सत्रों का आयोजन किया गया । जिसमें कार्यकर्ताओं के शारीरिक विकास हेतु योगासन, प्राणायम, खेल आदि के सत्र हुए जिसके माध्यम से कार्यकर्ताओं का शारीरिक विकास के लिए आवश्यक कौशल्य से सम्बंधित बातें बताई गई । इसी प्रकार वैचारिक स्पष्टता एवं बौद्धिक क्षमता के विकास हेतु विभिन्न विषयों पर बौद्धिक सत्र हुए, जिसमें स्वामी विवेकानन्द राष्ट्रभक्त संन्यासी, एकनाथ जी एवं शिलास्मारक, कार्यकताओं के विशेष गुण, केन्द्र प्रार्थना, हमारे उत्सव प्रमुख विषय थे । इसी प्रकार केन्द्र कार्य से सम्बंधित विषयों कार्यपद्धति एवं कार्यप्रणाली, व्यवस्था, कार्यक्रम पूर्व नियोजन, पूर्ण नियोजन पर भी अभ्यास सत्र लिया गया । शिविर में स्वामी विवेकानन्द सार्ध शती समारोह के विषय में श्री धनंजय सूर्यवंशी जी ने कार्यकर्ताओं का मार्गदर्शन किया । शिविर में एक दिन विशेष अतिथि के रूप में डॉ. रामगोपाल जी, जो की (DRDO)  के पूर्व संचालक एवं डॉ. ए.पी.जे. अब्दुल कलाम के साथ पोखरण में कार्य किया, ने विजन २०२० पर प्रकाश डाला  एवं कार्यकर्ताओं के प्रश्नों के रोचक उत्तर दिये ।
 कार्यकर्ताओं में वक्तृत्व क्षमता एवं वैचारिक स्पष्टता हेतु व्यक्तिचरित्र, कार्यकर्ता के गुण विशेष, केन्द्र प्रार्थना, दायित्व बोध आदि विषयों पर मंथन एवं उनका प्रस्तुतीकरण किया गया । शिविर में ३८ कार्यकर्ता सहभागी हुए । शिविर के अन्तिम दिन सम्पर्क कौशल के प्रत्यक्ष अनुभव के लिए शिविर स्थल के समीप कॉलोनी के घरों में कार्यकर्ताओं साहित्य विक्री के लिए भेजा गया । स्वामी विवेकानन्द के विचारो को घर-घर तक पहुंचाने वाले इस साहित्य सेवा अभियान का सभी ने आनंद लिया । सम्पर्क के प्रत्यक्ष अनुभव से कार्यकर्ताओं को उत्साह एवं शक्ति मिली एवं उन्होंने अपने अनुभव को अपने शब्दों में प्रकट किया ।
शिविर का समापन आहुति सत्र से हुआ । कार्यकर्ताओं ने स्वामी विवेकानन्द सार्ध शती के अवसर पर अपने दायित्व का व्यवस्थित निर्वहन का संकल्प लिया और अनुवर्तन के रूप में अनिवासी व्यक्तित्व विकास शिविर के आयोजन का नियोजन किया, जो कि अब विस्तारश: प्रारम्भ हो चुका है । शिविर अधिकारी के रूप में आदरणीय गौरी ताई उपस्थित थी।

HEALTH WORKER TRAINING CAMP AT DIBRUGARH

VK Arunjyoti Dibrugarh Health Worker Training CampVivekananda Kendra Arun Jyoti recently conducted one Health Worker Training Camp at Dibrugarh under Health Service Forum. 23 youths from interior parts of Tirap and Changlang districts of Arunachal Pradesh participated in this five days residential camp. The camp was inaugurated on 3rd May and concluded successfully on 7th May 2012. The participants were taught various basic health aspects in the camp by Doctors and other paramedical. The basic diseases were discussed thoroughly in the camp. One physiotherapist from Tinsukia Nikhita Modi taught them one whole session on pain management. Practical sessions were taken by the nursing staffs of S.D. Sahewalla Memorial School of Nursing, a unit of Aditya Hospital, 


Dibrugarh. VK Arunjyoti Dibrugarh Health Worker Training CampIt is to be mentioned that the Health Service Forum of Vivekananda Kendra regularly conducts health camps in the remote parts of Tirap, Changlang and Upper Subansiri districts of Arunachal Pradesh. Along with this Health Awareness Meetings are conducted periodically.

PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT CAMP at Mysore

Omkar meditation during Workshop on how to face exams at VK MysoreVivekananda Kendra Mysore has organized Personality Development Camp for the students of Class  X on 4th to 6th  April for the students who wrote examination on Swamiji’s life and message at Amrita Vidyalaya, Mysore. 88 students participated in the camp.
Daily camp started with prayer followed by Yogabhyasa and pranayama. Other sessions are Bhagavadgita 12th chapter by Swami Dhyanamrtha, My Hero Swami Vivekananda by Sri Sripatiji, Vibhaga Vyvasta Pramukh, Manku Thimmanna Kagga by Sri Chidambara Bhatji, Retd. Sanskrit Teacher, Krida Yoga, Vedic Maths, Patriotic songs, Quiz on Ramayana and Mahabharata, Group discussion etc are other events in camp.


“Workshop on How to face examination without fear” at VK Mysore

Group presentation during Workshop on how to face exams at VK Mysore2 days workshop conducted for class 10th students of Amrita Vidyalaya on 7th and 8th of April. Sri Nirag Dave conducted the camp. Time Management , Relaxation techniques, Memory improvement games, Group discussion, interaction with children, patriotic songs, trataka, omkara dhyana etc are the main events in this workshop. 80 students participated.

विवेकानंद केंद्र कन्याकुमारी शाखा अजमेर अपने नए भवन में स्थापित

Gruh Praveshअजमेर २९ अप्रैल ! विवेकानंद केंद्र अजमेर शाखा अपने पुराने भवन जोकि श्रीनगर रोड स्थित प्रताप ऑटो मोबाइल के ऊपर स्थित था अब अपने नए भवन शिव मंदिर के पास, नई बस्ती भजन गंज में स्थानांतरित हो गया है.

उक्त नवीन भवन के उद्घाटन कार्यक्रम का शुभारम्भ प्रातः काल कलश यात्रा के साथ हुआ जिसमे प्रान्त संघटक रचना एवं श्री गायत्री महिला मंडल भजन गंज अजमेर की श्रीमती सुधा डोगरा के नेत्रत्व में ३१ महिलाओ की कलश यात्रा निकाली गई

कलश स्थापना के उपरांत वास्तु यज्ञ एवं हवन का आयोजन किया गया जिसमे मुख्य यजमान विवेकानंद केंद्र के विभाग संचालक  श्री सत्य देव शर्मा थे तथा यज्ञ में विभाग प्रमुख अशोक पनिकर एवं नगर सह प्रमुख अविनाश शर्मा सपत्निक सम्मिलित हुए

विवेकानंद केंद्र द्वारा आयोजित इस कार्यक्रम में जानकारी देते हुए प्रान्त संचालक श्री बद्री प्रसाद पंचोली ने बताया की अजमेर सबसे पुराना केंद्र पूरे भारत वर्ष में रहा है जिसकी शाखा अब अपने स्वयं के भवन में स्थापित की गई है! यह अजमेर के लिए अत्यंत गौरव की बात है.

उद्घाटन कार्यक्रम में नगर के अन्य गणमान्य व्यक्ति जिनमे श्री दिनेश अग्रवाल, शिव राज शर्मा प्रान्त प्रमुख, उमेश चोरासिया, रामचरण गुप्ता, देवेन्द्र पंवार, स्वतंत्र शर्मा, अविनाश शर्मा,  इत्यादि उपस्थित थे.

Kalash Yatra इस बारे में जानकारी देते हुए नगर प्रमुख कुसुम गौतम ने कहा कि अब विवेकानंद केंद्र के आने वाले कार्यक्रम जिनमे प्रमुख रूप से स्वामीजी की आगामी वर्ष में आने वाली १५० वी जन्म जयंती वर्ष हेतु किये जाने वाले कार्यक्रमों की योजना का निरूपण आसानी से हो सकेगा साथ ही केंद्र के कार्यपद्धति से जुड़े आयामों का प्रभाव जनमानस में और भी गहरा हो सकेगा.

कार्यक्रम के अंत में केंद्र प्रार्थना का आयोजन किया गया तथा अंत में प्रसादी का भी आयोजन हुआ .

Vivekananda Kendra Arun Jyoti organised a camp for the students of class-VI to class-XII of Upper Subansiri, West Siang, Upper Siang and East Siang districts from 24th April-28th April, 2012. The main motto of this five days camp was to develop the overall personality of the participants. This was done through many awe inspiring sessions, yoga, memory developing games, creative workshops. Eminent personalities like Shri Tuter Nima, Dr. Tape Kaye, Shri Markar Padu, Kum. Suthapa Roy, Shri Romin Rava, Shri Rupesh Mathur, Shri Taro Sindik took the sessions.

1.  Samskara varga: 2 places-34 children.
2. Swadyaya varga: a. Daily- 1 place-4 people, weekly- 1 place- 9 people, monthly- 1 place- 10 people.
3. Yoga satra: 2 places- 54 people benefitted.
Personality development camp:   in the month of may 2011, 7 day camp at r b i colony and roopa nagar conducted for  children.  64 children benefitted.
Matru pooja: 1 place 32 children performed pooja to their mothers. Sri kumarswamiji, a sanskrit scholar talked on importance of mother and role of mother.
Bhajan : daily bhajan - 5 people.
Youth campWeekly bhajan – 15 mothers together doing bhajans and chantings in different           houses in vishweshvara nagar locality.
Free tuition class/ anandalaya :  daily- 8 children.
Viveka sandesha programme (exhibition of sw. Vivekananda’s life and message cum sale of sri ramakrishna vivekananda literature)  :  r b i ganesha temple  2 times, jagnmohan palace -1 time, yoga naraasimha temple- 1 time, sanskrit college- 1 time.  Many people go through the exhibition.
Amrutha surabhi : 1500 k.g’s rice collected and distributed to different anadalayas.
Essay and elocution competition for college students: 58 students participated
Patriotic song competition: 109 students from 12 schools and 4 college participated.
Bharatiya samskriti pariksha: 630 students wrote the exam on incidents from the life of swami vivekananda.
Youth awareness examination :  more than 5000 college students from hassan, mysore, mandya and chamarajnagar district wrote the examination on swami vivekananda’s life and message to youths.
Youth camp: 8 youth awareness camps conducted. More than 1000 students participated.
Utsavas:
Guru poornima: 1 place- 27 people attended the programme. Sri veda mohanji spoke on that day. Special bhajan conducted that day. Programme was held at govt. Sanskrit college, mysore.
Raksha bhandan celbration:  2 places- nearly 600 rakhi tied, in 2 schools we spoke about the importance of raksha bhandan. Samskara varga children went to different houses and tied the raksha’s.
Sri krishna janmastami celbration:  fancy  dress competition, quiz on sri krishna’s life, bhagavadgita  shloka competition , breaking the dahi pot for samskara varga children and their parents also.  At the end pooja performed and distributed prasad.
Univesal Brotherhood day Patriotic Song CompitisionUnivesal brotherhood day celebration: sri col. Kumar swamyji spoke on that day. Sri mohan rao was chief guest. 350 people attended the programme.  Programme  was held at shivananda jnanalaya, laxmipuram.
Geeta jayanti :  geeta recitation competition organised for primary, high school students. More than 180 students participated from 23 schools.
Kalpataru diwas: on 1st january 2012, celbrated kalpataru diwas. Mass anna seva organised on that day. More than 300 people took prasad.
Swami vivekananda jayanthi:  from 25th december 2011 to 1st march,2012, we celbrated swami vivekananda jayanti and youth awareness programmes at 16 college from mysore, chamarajanagar, mandya districts. Sri c v gopinathji. Sri g r vishwanatji,  dr. A s chandrashekarji col. Kumarswamiji are the some of resourse persons in this programmes.
Sri ramakrishna jayanti: 18th feb, 2012 celebrated ramakrishna jayanthi. Special bhajan organised that day. Sweet distributed to devotees.
Medical checkup camp: 1 check up camp at hangod village, nearly 180 people benefitted.

Sanskara Varga Prashikshan Shibir in Arunachal Pradesh

Satra- Eknath JiVivekananda Kendra Arun Jyoti has organized FIVE  Days Moral value enhancement training camp   specially designed for the students of Class VIII to XII  on 16th to 20th  April for the students of six district  at VKV Chimpu, Itanagar. The age old indigenous practice of valued Sanskar, which gives an individual, good moral character & ethics to lead a successful life & develop leadership quality of an Ideal human being. Keeping this view a residential “Sanskar Varga Prashikshan Shibir” was conducted from 16th to 20th April.
Shri Ashok Atale, Nagar Sangathak of Vivekananda Kendra, Itanagar spoke on “HAM BHI BANE VIVEKANANDA“ and “SANSKAR VARGA KEUIN” for confidence building, memory development, concentration with intelligently with the help of Yoga and Pranayama by practicing it as a daily way of life. Shri Thakur Das, Shibir Addhikari took the session on “MAN MAKING AND NATION BUILDING ”.


Resource person from various walks of life spoke on various topic. Shri Lenzing Tagi, Pharmacist of District jail, Itanagar spoke on “Mananeeya Eknathji" “ the founder of Vivekananda Kendra" Shri Phuntso Gombu, Guest Lecturer of NERIST, described the ”VIVEKANANDA KENDRA MOVEMENT”. Shri Gyati Ranaji, Information publicity Secretary of IFCSAP and a writer  has taken a session on “HAMARI SANSKRITI”. Shri Pai Dawe,Yuva Manch Pramukh, Vivekananda Kendra Arunachal Pradesh, also trained the participants in the method of “TEAM BUILDING” which is very essential for a leader with a positive  attitude to serve the people without any personal desire.
 
Khel – Bhoot galiShri Kalyan Dutta, Nagar Pramukh of Vivekananda Kendra, Itanagar explained the Concept of “NIYAMITATA KA MAHATWA AUR ANUSASHAN" which means importance of rules and regulation in daily life for a successful life.

Shri Rupesh Mathur, Pranta Sangathak of Vivekananda Kendra, Arunachal Pradesh blessed the participant in the Ahuti Satra and gave direction to the youth to lead a positive, constructive and meaningful life with the thought “THEY ALONE LIVE WHO LIVES FOR OTHER, REST ARE MORE DEAD THAN ALIVE" and urged the camp participants to at least practice one or two activities taught in the five  day camp to improve oneself for the development of the Nation.
