Activity report of Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Kallubalu

14 students from VKV Kallubalu attended Samskara Varga Prashikhan Shibir in VK Mysore from 29th March to 1st April. On 1st April Bhoomi pooja was performed to construct Road cum rain water harvesting. Adaraneeya Lalita didi, Adaraneeya Gayathri  didi, Krishnamurthyji [Engineer] and staff were present.
From April 2nd to 12th  Adaraneeya Gayathri didi, Vivekananda  Kendra karyakartha taught Shlokas and prayers to the staff and students. From April 2nd to 12th Adaraniya Gayatri didi conducted workshop on Doll making for students and staff based on the theme Ramayana.  On 13th April on the occasion of Sri Rama navami , from 5:00 am to 6:00 pm Akhanda Ram Nam Japa was conducted.  Important episodes from Ramayana was exhibited by arranging the dolls.  On 14th April Dr. B R Ambedkar jayanthi was observed. On the same day from Pre-kg to class IX Parents–teachers meeting was held in our Vidyalaya. After the meeting  Annual result was announced. Progress reports were given to  the parents. 250 parents received the Progress reports.
From 15th April Personality Development Camp was started. Different activities are:
1. Spoken English
2. Learning on computer
3. Dance
4. Doll making
5. Mallakamba etc. 35 Students attending regularly.
Extra classes were conducted for selected students from class 8th , 9th  and 10th on  Mathematics. 10 students attended.  On 19th April, Adaraneeya Lalita didi and 5 teaches attended a day’s workshop at Priya didi’s, house Attibele. Topics : Lesson plan [enquiry method] and different activities in the class room. On 29th April Art and craft workshop was conducted in Government Higher Primary School Jalahalli, Bengaluru, by students and staff.  On 30th April Karnataka S S L C board announced the result through internet.

Activity update of Vivekananda Kendra Mysore Arpil 2019

CAMPS & COMPETITIONS:

SAMSKARA VARGA PRASHIKSHANA SHIBIR held from 30.03.2019 to 03.04.2019. total 27 karyakartas participated from Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Kallubalu & Vivekananda Kendra Mysore.

PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT CAMPS

At Hanumanalu village, started on 15th April upto 21st April. Total 102 participated from 6 villages. Yogasana, games, songs, crafts and stories on great personalities taught to the children. One day Swachata camp organised. Follow up: planned samskara varga on every Saturday at Sharada Vidya Kendra, Hanumanalu & C Halli.

At Vijayanagar from 10.04.2019 to 30.04.2019. Total 28 children. Yogasana, games, songs, crafts and stories on great personalities taught to the children. Follow up: planned samskara varga for children and Yoga Satra for elders in the month of June.

At Jayanagar 2 camps organised from 10.04.2019 to 25.04.2019 and 26.04.2019 to 05.05.2019. Total 33 students from both shibirs. Yogasana, games, songs, crafts and stories on great personalities taught to the children. Sri C V Gopinathji , Smt Vasumati Didi, Smt Anita Didi were the resouse persons.

At Roopa Nagar from 21.04.2019 to 30.04.2019. Total 24 participated. Yogasana, games, songs, crafts and stories on great personalities taught to the children. Matru pooja organised on 28.04.2019

FUNCTIONS AND CELEBRATIONS:

Sri Ramanavami celebrated on 13.04.2019. Bhajan, Quiz on Ramayana, Ramanama Sankirtana was the main programme. Prasad distributed more than 500 people.

Bhajan conducted at Sri Sridharji and Smt Shanta Chechi’s house on the occasion of Vishu festival.

Telugu Prant Activity Report May-2019

VK Kadapa, Rayalaseema Vibhag organised 2 residential shibirs simultaneously from 25-29 April, 2019 at Ramakrishna Mission, Kadapa. (1) Sthanik Karykarta Prashikshan Shibir with 13 participants and (2) Sanskar Varga Prashikshan Shibir with 8 participants

Non-Residential Personality Development Camp - VK Nagole, Hyderabad Vibhag. VK Kurnool, and VK Kadapa, Rayalaseema Vibhag
1. VK Nagole organised 3 Summer Camps for students from 20--30 April, 2019 in 3 vistars simultaneously - Arunodaya Nagar Colony, Ganesh Nagar Colony and Snehapuri colony. Total Participants: 110. Organising team of about 5 karyakartas each.

2. VK Kurnool organised a 3-week non-Residential Personality Development Camp for children from 29 April-19 May, 2019 at Aaditya Vidya Nilayam,  Hanuman Vistar, Kurnool, Rayalaseema Vibhag, VK Telugu Praant. Average no. of participants.25. Resource person: Sri S. Siva Prasad Rao, Sri Umesh and Sri Amaresh.

3. Vivekananda Kendra Kadapa: Summer Camp for school children from 6-25 May 2019. Shikshaks: 4. Sessions on  Suryanamaskar, Mathematics, Telugu reading activity, Sanskrit –Bhagavad Geetha chanting, Krida Yoga (Games) and story telling. Number of participants : 25,

Kendra Parichay Shibir: - 3- VK Nagole, Gajularamaram and VK Kaushalam, Hyderabad Vibhag. Objectives 1) basics of Kendra vision and Karyapaddhati for the  30+  age group 2) increase of clarity & involvement.  Sessions included: All 4 dimensions of VK Karyapaddhati – practice and theory, conceptual sessions including Story of VRM, Dharmachakra, Kendra Prarthana, Vivekananda Shila Smaarak - Ek Bharat - Vijayee Bharat, Geet and Khel

1. VK Nagole from 6-10 May, 2019. Time: 5.30-7.30a.m. Participants: 13 came consistently. Resource persons: Sri Srnivasji, Prakalpa Sangathak., VK Kaushalam, Kum. Sujatha Nayak, Praant Sangathak & Sri Panchangam Vishvanathji, Pravasi Karyakarta, Visakha Vibhag.

2. VK Gajularamaram – Karyasthan- from 15-17 May, 2019. Time: 6-10 a.m. Participants: 10 came consistently

3. VK Kaushalam on 11 May, 2019. Participants: 2.

Pareeksha de Hastei Hastei: 27 May, 2019.
VK Nagole organised a one-day Pareeksha De Hastei Hastei  workshop  for students of Vivekananda Vidya Vikas Kendra, Vanasthali puram. Total participants:18 boys. Deepakji conducted the sessions.

Praant- level Shibir:
Vivekananda Kendra Telugu Praant organised a Praant-level Trainers’ Training Camp- Spread Your Wings: 18 & 19 May, 2019 at VK Kaushalam from 18 to 19 May, 2019. Objectives: To understand and conduct Spread Your Wings -a motivational workshop  for adolescent boys and girls especially age 12-18.  Resource Person: Mananeeya Sri Basavaraj Deshmukh, Akhil Bharateeya  Prashikshan Pramukh.

Sessions included 1) Yogabhyaas 2) Shreyas-Preyas  3) Suraksha 4) Good Looks 5)  Health 6) Love and friendship  7) Media and 8) Grow to blossom Spread Your Wings 16 participants (5 sisters, 11 brothers)  from 4 Vibhags participated.
Ma. Basavaraj-ji said, ‘Hitherto Kishori Vikas Shibir has been organised in many Praants. This is the first time in Vivekananda Kendra that workshop for  adolescents  -both boys & girls- has been envisaged."

VK Telugu Praant - Pranteeya Karykarta Prashikshan Shibir:

योग सत्र - अजमेर

दिनांक 31-मई को पुराना छतरी योजना उद्यान, अजमेर में चल रहे विवेकानन्द केन्द्र के योग सत्र का समापन हुआ। आज अधिकांश व्यक्ति युवाअवस्था में ही हाइपरटेंशन, मधुमेह, कमरदर्द, हृदयरोगों से ग्रस्त होता जा रहे हैं। रोगों पर हुए आधुनिक शोधों से यह सिद्ध हो चुका है कि ये सभी साइकोसोमेटिक रोगों की श्रेणी में आते हैं जिनसे मुक्ति केवल योग द्वारा ही संभव है। विवेकानन्द केन्द्र कन्याकुमारी का आवर्तन ध्यान शारीरिक, प्राणिक, मानसिक, भावनात्मक एवं आध्यात्मिक स्तर पर मनुष्य के सर्वांगीण विकास का मार्ग प्रशस्त करता है तथा उसे राष्ट्र पुनरूत्थान के लिए तैयार करता है। उक्त विचार अखिल भारतीय सर्जन एसोसिएशन के अध्यक्ष एवं विवेकानन्द केन्द्र कन्याकुमारी के रामकृष्ण विस्तार संचालक डाॅ0 श्याम भूतड़ा ने वैशाली नगर स्थित पुराना छतरी योजना उद्यान में दस दिवसीय योग एवं प्राणायाम प्रशिक्षण सत्र के समापन पर व्यक्त किए। इस अवसर पर प्रान्त प्रशिक्षण प्रमुख डाॅ0 स्वतन्त्र शर्मा ने सभी उपस्थित साधकों को ‘मेरा योग वर्ग मेरा स्वर्ग’ का संकल्प कराते हुए पुराने छतरी योजना उद्यान में निःशुल्क नियमित योग वर्ग की नींव रखी। 

विस्तार प्रमुख कुशल उपाध्याय ने बताया कि योग सत्र में साधकों को कमर, पीठ व गर्दन के दर्द से मुक्ति तो मिली ही है साथ ही अच्छी नींद, मानसिक तनाव से मुक्ति, भूख खुलकर आना, शरीर में हलकापन, दिनभर ताज़गी, प्रसन्नता एवं चुस्ती बने रहना जैसे अनुभव हुए हैं। सत्र के समापन पर बीना कासलीवाल, अतुल जैन, मोहिनी इसरानी, नीलू अग्रवाल, नुपुर जैन, सीमा जैन, रिद्धिमा, मीना दोषी, सुधा बोहरा, चिराग आदि ने अपने अनुभव साझा किए। सत्र का संचालन राकेश शर्मा, लक्ष्मीचंद मीणा, राखी वर्मा व मनोज बीजावत ने किया। सुनील गर्ग ने विवेकानन्द केन्द्र का आभार जताते हुए बताया कि पुराना छतरी योजना उद्यान में 1 जून से प्रातः 5.30 बजे से  6.30 बजे तक नियमित निःशुल्क योग कक्षा प्रारंभ की जा रही है।

Prashikshan Shibhirs @ VKVVF Kodangallur

Sthanik KPS was organised from 17th to 21st at Kodungallur. Along with local Karyakartas, welwishers, Yoga varga and  and Sanskar Varga students attended the shibir. During the games session Sishuvihar children too participated.The daily routine started with prayers followed by Bhagavad Gita chanting. There were two lecture sessions in a day. Daily Swadhyaya Varga and bhajan session were also part of the schedule.

The camp witnessed the active participation of 50 Karyakartas of  in and around Kodungallur who were  motivated and committed.There were overall 5 members in the organising team. The five day shibir was inaugurated by Mananeeya Lakshmi Didi. In her addresses, she highlighted the unique features of Indian Culture and how one should make it part of their lives. She appraised all about the need of spreading the message of Bharat in a big way and appreciated the participants for their willingness to come and attend the shibir.

Adaraneeya Radha Didi, Dakshin Prant Sanghatak, briefed the objectives of the camp followed by the singing of Shibir Geet by Adaraneeya Kalyani Didi from V.K. Thiruvananthapuram branch. The first day made the participants to ponder over the qualities of a true worker of Kendra and the discussion among them drove home the work of Karyakartha is the journey from unreal to real and death to immortality.

The Kendra Varga sessions specially planned by Kumari Bhuvaneswari Didi from VK Nagercoil branch, on all the days provided an exposure to all about the objectives of the Kendra varga and the methodology of conduction as it is one of the main karyapadhati of Kendra.

The remaining days Mananeeya Lakshmi Didi spoke in detail about the Holy Trio throwing light upon the significance of studying their lives by a Karyakarta. since their life and message are based on the realisation of the highest truth. She requested every Karyakartha  to imbibe the spirit and ideals for which they stood for and work for the Nation.

Adaraneeya Radhadidi spoke on Kendra prarthana and VK activities and Adaraneeya Sudhakarji led the two sessions on Man. Eknathji and the Story of Rock Memorial respectively. The participants had an in-depth study of shaping a karyakarta as the backdrop of the vision of Vivekananda Kendra that was really visible in the question and answer sessions and presentations.They took a vow to take up the works by adopting  one of the kendra paddhati in the Ahuti Satra.The whole camp reverberated with the chanting of prayers, patriotic songs and bhajans at the Bhajan Sandhya.

On the concluding day, the report of the shibir was presented and Man. Lakshmi Didi gave her blessings. The Shibir concluded with Kendra Prayer.

Samskarvarga prashikshan Shibir was organised at Anandadham, Kodungallur, from 22nd May to 26th May. Mananeeya Lakshmi Didi inaugurated the Shibir. This being the prashikshan shibir, there were more of practical sessions rather than lectures. The participating children came in and around Kodungallur and couple from Thrissur. The Organizing team consisted of 12 members.

Daily routine started with prayer session taught by Kum.Sreelakshmi, followed by patriotic songs in Hindi, Sanskrit and Malayalam by Su. Kalyani Didi, Su.Sutapa Didi, Kum. Sreelakshmi and Smt Padmaja. Games and Agnyas were taught by Su. Bhuvaneswari Didi, Kum. Sreelakshmi, Kum Unnimaya and Kum. Anushree. The Art of Storytelling Classes were conducted by Sri Ashokanji, Ma. Lakshmi Didi, Sri Sudhakarji and Su. Radha Didi. Overall guidance was given by Su. Radha Didi.

The camp  concluded on 26th in which Ma. Lakshmi Didi advised the children to equip themselves and then guide the youngsters who would draw inspiration from their Varga shikshaks. All the children took the sankalpa of starting Samskarvarga in their localities as early as possible. In all 45 children and 5 parents participated all the 5 days.

Workshop on Photography at vkv Kallubalu

Sri Srinivaskumar, a renowned photographer conducted a workshop on advanced photography on 3.05.2019 for the students and staff of VKV Kallubalu. After the theory, there was a practical session on Theme based photography. Participants got chance to learn 360 degree photography along with various techniques of good photography. 70 participants actively participated in the workshop. 1460 people viewed the workshop online.
