Bala Vikasa Shibir at Hebbal

Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Karnataka Prant, Hebbal Branch, successfully organized the "Bala Vikasa Shibir", a comprehensive personality development camp for children aged 5 to 9 years from April 1st to 13th, 2026. Held daily from 11:00 am to 1:30 pm at the Vivekananda Kendra Hebbal venue, the camp saw the enthusiastic participation of 21 children.

Each session commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp and Shanti Paat, setting a serene and focused tone for the day's activities.

To deeply root the children in Indian values and culture, the curriculum featured a vibrant mix of stories, mantras, shlokas, and bhajans. The participants remained actively engaged through a variety of hands-on activities, including action songs, interactive games, yoga sessions, and "cooking without fire" workshops.

 The Shibir culminated in a concluding program where certificates were distributed to the children in the presence of their parents. During this program, attendees were introduced to the wider mission of the Kendra through a Kendra Parichaya session, and parents were encouraged to contribute to various ongoing Seva activities. To ensure the continuous growth and nurturing of these young minds, the branch will transition these activities into weekly Samskaravarga sessions held every Saturday evening.

Free ENT Check-up Camp at Kangra

Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Uttar Prant, Kangra Branch in a significant humanitarian effort, recently partnered with the Ripudaman Charitable Trust and organized a Free ENT Check-up Camp at Gopal Bagh Gurkhari in the outskirts of Kangra town on Saturday, March 29, 2026 as its monthly feature in which nearly 110 people were benefited.

The initiative aimed to provide specialized medical expertise to those in need, particularly focusing on individuals suffering from severe hearing impairments. A key highlight of the camp was the presence of by Dr. Sanjay SachdevaPrincipal Director of ENT, Head & Neck Surgery at Max Super Speciality Hospital, Saket, Delhi, a globally renowned specialist in cochlear implants.

During the event, Dr. Sanjay Sachdeva emphasized the transformative impact of cochlear implants, explaining how these complex electronic devices comprising both external microphones and internal surgical receivers can restore sound perception and significantly enhance the quality of life for those with profound hearing loss.

This collaborative outreach by Vivekananda Kendra underscores its ongoing commitment to community service and the integration of advanced medical solutions for social welfare.

Soft Skill Training session organized at Mysore

Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Karnataka Prant, Chamundeshwari Vibhag, Mysore Branch organized an impactful Soft Skill Training session at the Kendra Karyalaya on March 29, 2026, attended by 13 participants.

The programme commenced with a spiritual invocation consisting of three Omkaras and the Sahana Vavatu prayer, followed by a stirring patriotic song rendered by Kum. Supriya Didi. The session officially opened with Sri Aravinda Bhaiya, who warmly introduced and welcomed the resource person for the day, Sri Vishwanathan Ji.

The core of the programme was an introductory session on soft skills led by Sri Vishwanathan Ji. He emphasized the importance of a positive attitude as the foundation for personal and professional growth. Through simple examples and interactive discussions, he explained how confidence shapes communication, decision-making, and overall personality. Participants were encouraged to overcome self-doubt and develop a growth mindset. The session also highlighted practical ways to build confidence, such as self-awareness, consistent practice, and clear expression of thoughts.

Sri Ramanavami Celebration at VKV Kallubalu

Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Kallubalu (Karnataka Prant) celebrated Sri Ramanavami with great spiritual fervor on Friday, March 27th, 2026, at the school's Ganesha and Hanuman Temple. The event saw a gathering of 415 participants, including students and staff.

The auspicious day commenced with a sacred havan performed by Mananeeya Lalitha Didi along with a group of students, invoking a divine atmosphere across the campus.

The formal program began with a prayer led by Smt. Anjali Didi, followed by a soulful rendition of the bhajan 'Atmanivasi Ram' by Shri Chidanand Ji. The celebration was graced by Chief Guest, Shri Ishaan Surya Ji, who delivered an inspiring address on the life and virtues of Lord Rama and explained his virtues, such as righteousness, truthfulness, compassion, and his ideal conduct as a son, husband, and king.

Smt. Shweta didi sang bhajan 'Shri Rama Chandra kripalu.' Aarati was performed collectively by all the staff with devotion and unity. Later all the students and teachers offered flowers to Lord Shri Ram.

The program concluded with the Shanti Mantra. The traditional Prasadam - muskmelon jaggery juice, buttermilk and kosambari were distributed to all.

Rural Health Assurance

A webinar on the topic “Rural Health Assurance” was successfully organized by Vivekananda Kendra, NARDEP, Kanyakumari under the Vasudha – Towards Sustainable Living initiative.

The session was held on Sunday, 29th March 2026 at 10:00 AM through Google Meet. The webinar aimed to highlight the importance of strengthening healthcare systems in rural areas and creating awareness about accessible and sustainable medical services.

The resource person for the session was Dr. Uihas Jajoo, MD (Medicine), who serves as the Director Professor, Department of Medicine at Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (MGIMS), Sevagram, Maharashtra.

Dr. Jajoo delivered an insightful talk focusing on:

  • The current challenges in rural healthcare delivery
  • The importance of preventive healthcare and early diagnosis
  • Community participation in improving health standards
  • Sustainable approaches to ensure long-term rural health assurance

The session was informative and thought-provoking, encouraging participants to understand the critical need for improving healthcare infrastructure in rural regions. It also emphasized the role of individuals and organizations in contributing to holistic rural development.

The auspicious occasion of Sri Rama Navami was celebrated with profound devotion and spiritual fervor at the Vivekananda Kendra Headquarters, Kanyakumari, on March 27, 2026. Held at the serene Sri Ramayana Darshanam between 9:30 AM and 10:30 AM, the program served as a beautiful tribute to the life and legacy of Lord Rama.

The festivities were organized across two primary locations Jayanagar and Vijayanagar, bringing together devotees to honor the birth of Lord Rama. A total of 800 people attend the festivities.

The celebration was marked by a soulful Rama Bhajan and a traditional Pooja, creating an atmosphere of deep devotion. A highlight of the event was the insightful narration of the Balkand from the Ramayana by Kum. Dharmik, which captivated the audience with the timeless virtues of the Maryada Purushottama. In the spirit of selfless service, a grand Annadanam was organized at both venues.

Leaders Bootcamp at Delhi

Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Delhi Vibhag, Delhi Branch successfully organized a comprehensive three-day Leaders Bootcamp at Gautam Buddha University, Greater Noida, held from 20th to 22nd March 2026. The event served as a dynamic platform for leadership development, engaging 22 dedicated karyakartas, 70 students, and various faculty members.

The first day focused on foundational skills through a four-hour workshop centered on team building, confidence, and communication, utilizing interactive games, group discussions, and skits to foster collaboration. This initial phase was supported by the presence of Adaraneeya Priyadarshini Didi and Shri Harshit Ji, concluding with an insightful session on leadership by Adaraneeya Shri Nikhil Ji and a practical workshop on Social Media Management led by Shri Gaurav Ahuja Ji.

The second day shifted focus toward specialized skill sets, featuring a session on the Art of Public Speaking to enhance clarity and expression. Throughout the bootcamp, participants benefited from the guidance (pravaas) of senior karyakartas, including Mananeeya Snehlata Didi, Adaraneeya Nikhil Ji, and Shri Gaurav Ji.

The program concluded with the initiative succeeded in strengthening aatmiyata and teamwork among the attendees, while establishing a foundation for expanding Vivekananda Kendra’s future activities within the university.

Amrita Parivar - Thiruvananthapuram

Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Kerala Prant, Thiruvananthapuram, successfully hosted an Amrita Parivar Milan at Vikas Nagar, Vattiyurkavu. The event, held on March 21, 2026 from 5 PM to 6 PM, saw an enthusiastic participation of 19 members from 6 families.

The programme commenced on a serene note with 3 Omkars and Shantipath, followed by a brief explanation of their significance to ensure everyone connected with the spiritual intent. This was followed by a soul-stirring rendition of a patriotic song, 'Matrubhumi Gan se', led by Aadaraneeya Kalyani Didi, which filled the atmosphere with national pride.

A highlight of the evening was the outdoor game session, which brought great joy to both children and elders alike, bridging generational gaps through active participation. The gathering also facilitated a productive and spirited discussion on 'Amrita Prabhat', where all attendees shared their thoughts with great enthusiasm.

The programme concluded peacefully with the recitation of the Shantipath, accompanied by a concise explanation of the mantra’s meaning, leaving the participants inspired and connected.

Free Eye Check-up Camp Organized at Kallubalu

Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Karnataka Prant, Kallubalu organized a successful Eye Check-up Camp on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at Patanjali Hall, VKV Kallubalu to provide essential vision services to the community, a total of 310 attendees, local villagers and parents.

The program commenced with a prayer, followed by a warm welcome from Kum. Bhargavi Didi to all guests and participants. Adding to the spiritual and motivational atmosphere, Kum.Bhargavi from Class 8 shared a Vivekavani and Kum. Elakshi performed a moving Geet. During the formal session, Chief Guest Sri Sudarshan ji discussed the objectives of the camp and emphasized the vital importance of eye care.Smt. Charlotte Hamel, representing Carl Zeiss Vision International from Germany, also addressed the gathering, offering kind words of appreciation for the initiative.

Technical insights were provided by Sri Dr. Premjeeth Moodbidri of the Aloka Foundation, who explained the functionality of the eye-testing instruments and announced an upcoming workshop for teachers. This training will empower educators to identify and guide students with vision issues, with certificates to be awarded upon completion. Throughout the day, a total of 310 attendees, including local villagers and parents, received professional screenings from optometrists Ms. Archana, Ms. Deepika, and Shri. Nikhil. The medical team further informed that spectacles would be distributed free of cost to the needy within 15 days. The programme also received support from the members of the Staliya Hitarakshana Vedike.

The event concluded smoothly with a vote of thanks and the collective chanting of the Shanti Mantra.

Navvarsh, Yugadi, Chaitra Pratipada and Gudi Padwa celebration at Vivekanandapuram Kanyakumari

The celebration of Navvarsh, Yugadi, Chaitra Pratipada, and Gudi Padwa was observed on Thu, 19 Mar, 2026, with great spiritual fervor and joy at Vivekanandapuram, Kanyakumari.

This significant occasion, marking the beginning of the traditional Hindu New Year, brought together devotees and karyakartas in a vibrant display of cultural heritage. The festivities were held under the graceful presidency of Mananeeya Rekha Davey Didi, Joint General Secretary of Vivekananda Kendra, whose presence added a sense of profound inspiration to the gathering.

Ma. Rekha Didi raised the Gudi outside the Central Office of Vivekanandapuram as a symbol of auspiciousness and prosperity. The program concluded with the recitation of the Shantipath and Kendra Prathna.

"समर्थ शिक्षक समर्थ भारत" - शिक्षक उन्मुखीकरण कार्यशाला कांगड़ा

विवेकानंद केंद्र कन्याकुमारी, हिमाचल प्रान्त, शाखा-कांगड़ा द्वारा 16 से 18 मार्च 2026 तक रेनबो इंटरनेशनल स्कूलनगरोटा बगवां में तीन दिवसीय 'समर्थ शिक्षक समर्थ भारतशिक्षक उन्मुखीकरण कार्यशाला का सफल आयोजन किया गया। 10 समर्पित कार्यकर्ताओं की आयोजन टीम के नेतृत्व में इस कार्यशाला को दो बैचों में विभाजित किया गयाजिसमें कुल 69 शिक्षकों (प्रथम बैच में 46 और द्वितीय में 23) ने उत्साहपूर्वक भाग लिया।

कार्यशाला का मुख्य उद्देश्य शिक्षकों की आंतरिक क्षमताओं का विकास और उन्हें राष्ट्र निर्माण के प्रति उत्तरदायी बनाना था।

यह प्रशिक्षण मुख्य रूप से तीन चरणों में संपन्न हुआ:

  1. प्रेरणा से पुनरुत्थान: बौद्धिक खेलों और समूह चर्चाओं के माध्यम से शिक्षकों को प्रेरित किया गया।
  2. यौगिक व्यायाम: शारीरिक व मानसिक सुदृढ़ता हेतु शिथिलीकरणसूर्य नमस्कारसूक्ष्म व्यायाम (विशेषकर स्टाफ रूम में अभ्यास योग्य) और प्राणायाम का सत्र आयोजित हुआ।
  3. बौद्धिक सत्र (PPT प्रेजेंटेशन):
    • प्रथम दिवस: पंजाब-हरियाणा प्रांत संगठक आदरणीय प्रांजलि दीदी ने 'शिक्षक होने पर गर्वविषय पर उद्बोधन दिया
    • द्वितीय दिवस: उत्तर प्रांत सह संगठक आदरणीय लोकेश जी केसरे ने 'अंतर्निहित दिव्यता का प्रगटीकरण एवं रचनात्मक प्रतिसादपर प्रकाश डाला
    • तृतीय दिवस: विवेकानंद केंद्र के महासचिव माननीय भानुदास धाकरस जी ने 'संपूर्ण उत्तरदायित्व और पूर्णताका मंत्र दिया

उद्घाटन सत्र में श्री चंद्र शेखर डोगरा जी का मार्गदर्शन मिलाजबकि 'प्रेरणा से पुनरुत्थानसत्रों का कुशल संचालन श्री चंदन भैयाश्री कन्हैया भैयासुमित्रा दीदी और बलवीर जी द्वारा किया गया।

18 मार्च को आयोजित समापन समारोह का प्रारंभ 'तीन ओंकारप्रार्थना और दीप प्रज्वलन से हुआ विवेकानंद केंद्र हिमाचल विभाग संगठक श्री बलवीर कुशवाह जी द्वारा इस तीन दिवसीय कार्यशाला की रिपोर्ट प्रस्तुत की

सुमित्रा साहू दीदी द्वारा गीत निर्माणों के पावन युग  में लिया गया। इस अवसर पर रेनबो इंटरनेशनल स्कूल के संचालक श्री छवि कश्यप जी ने जीवन मूल्यों की महत्ता पर जोर देते हुए 'निर्माणों के पावन युग मेंगीत को विद्यालय की प्रार्थना में शामिल करने का संकल्प लिया। यह गीत हमें याद दिलाता रहेगा कि हम कहां हैजिस तरह से जामवंत ने हनुमान को उनकी शक्ति से परिचय कराया था  उसे तरह यह गीत भी हमारी क्षमताहमारे जीवन मूल्य को याद दिलाता रहेगा । उन्होंने कहा कि रामायणमहाभारत और उपनिषद हमारे मूल्यों के आधार हैंजिन्हें वैश्विक दृष्टि के साथ अपनाना अनिवार्य है। हम भी अपनी इन जड़ों को अवश्य मजबूत करे ।

अगले वर्ष 2027 में स्कूल के 25 वर्ष हो जाएंगे ।इस आधार पर हमारे स्कूल में इस वर्ष value System को मज़बूत करने पर जोर दिया जाएगा । और यह जीवन मूल्य स्वामी विवेकानंद के विचारों उनके आदर्शों पर आधारित हो । अंत में उन्होंने केंद्र के सभी कार्यकर्ताओं का धन्यवाद कहा जो स्कूल में यह समर्थ शिक्षक समर्थ भारत कार्यशाला कर रहे है ।

विवेकानंद केंद्र कन्याकुमारी के महासचिव माननीय भानुदास जी का मार्गदर्शन रहा । उन्होंने कहां की जब भी हम विद्यालय आएं भगवद्गीता के तीसरे अध्याय का २१वां श्लोक

यद्यदाचरति श्रेष्ठस्तत्तदेवेतरो जनः।

स यत्प्रमाणं कुरुते लोकस्तदनुवर्तते।।

का ध्यानचिंतन - मनन अवश्य करें । हम श्रेष्ठ बने और विद्यार्थियों को भी अपने से श्रेष्ठ बनाने का प्रयत्न करे । और को भी श्रेष्ठ बनाने का प्रयत्न करे ।ऐसा करने से राष्ट्र श्रेष्ठ बनेगा । इस कार्यशाला का यही उद्देश्य है। शिक्षकों को 'श्रेष्ठबनने और विद्यार्थियों को भी श्रेष्ठ बनाने का आह्वान किया। उन्होंने स्वामी विवेकानंद के शिकागो संघर्ष और उनके राष्ट्र-प्रेम के उदाहरण देकर शिक्षकों को त्याग और सेवा का मार्ग दिखाया। उन्होंने रेनबो इंटरनेशनल स्कूल के संचालक को धन्यवाद दिया कि विवेकानंद केंद्र को यह कार्यशाला करने हेतु अवसर प्रदान किया तथा सभी शिक्षकों को कन्याकुमारी आने हेतु आमंत्रण दिया ।

पारंपरिक हिमाचली टोपी शॉल द्वारा केंद्र के सभी कार्यकर्ताओं का रेनबो इंटरनेशनल स्कूल द्वारा सम्मान किया गया । समापन कार्यक्रम का संचालन विवेकानंद केंद्र कन्याकुमारीशाखा - कांगड़ा के सह नगर प्रमुख श्री विवेक शर्मा जी द्वारा किया गया ।
