Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Bajali in Assam Prant officially marked its beginning with a Bhoomi Puja ceremony on March 2, 2026 from 11:00 AM. The event, held on Kurobaha Pathar Village, Assam, near the local Shiv Temple, was celebrated with significant devotion and communal enthusiasm.
The core ritual of Bhoomi Pujan was lead by Sri Risikesh Biswas ji of VKSPV alongside the Pandit ji, who invoked blessings from Mother Earth through sacred mantras. Parallel to the rituals, a vibrant cultural program began with Mangala-Charan, the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, and a floral tribute to Swami Vivekananda. The atmosphere was further uplifted by a melodious welcome song performed by the teachers of VKV Nalbari.
The ceremony was graced by several distinguished guests, including the Chief Guest, Sri Twahir Alam (ACS, ADC Education), who was warmly felicitated with a traditional Assamese gamocha by Su. Dr. Sovarani B. Sharma and Su. Meera R. Kulkarni. Other honored dignitaries included Sri Santosh Kr. Nath (Circle Officer, Sarupeta Revenue Circle), Sri Ajit Nath (Executive Engineer, PWD), Smt. Latika Patgiri (Gaon Pradhan), and Sri Raman Sharma (Chairman, VKNRL Hospital). In his welcome address, Sri Ashim Jyoti Pathak, Headmaster (In-charge), outlined the vision of the institution, followed by an insightful speech from Su. Meera Didi regarding the core ideals of Vivekananda Kendra in nation-building.
