Stanik Karyakartha Prasikshan Shibir at Lohit Vibhag

Vivekananda Kendra Arun Jyoti Lohit Vibhag conducted
 Stanik Karyakartha Prasikshan Shibir from 27.03.2023 to 31.03.2023. 65 participants including the organising team participated in the Shibir. It was a five-day residential camp. On 27th of March 2023, Shri. Badang Tayang Ji, District President of BJP, Lohit graced the Inaugural Program as Chief Guest. He shared his school life experiences at VKV Amliang and stressed upon the importance of discipline and hard work for a bright future.

The daily routine of the camp started with Jagaran at 4.30 a.m. followed by Pratasmaran, Yogabhyas, Kamayoga Slokasangraha chanting, Alpahar, Shramsanskar, Shramaparihar, Satra-I, Manthan & Prastutikaran, Bhojan, Geet & Mantra Abhyas, Sanskar Varga, Jalpan, Satra-II, Bhajan Sandhya, Bhojan, Prerana Se Punarutham & Diary Writing and Nisha Swasthi at 9.45pm.

The sessions on different topics were delivered by Smt. Wijali Manyu, Smt. Sailu Bellai, Shri. Rominso Mam, Shri. Timita Namchoom, Shri. Amoso Khamblai, Shri. Kruleso Ngadong and Ahuti Satra by Shri. Abutlum Mam. 
The concluding program was graced by Shri. Sangey Thinley Ji, Assistant Superintendent of Police, Lohit District, Tezu. He appreciated the Shibir and advised the participants to channelize their talents towards productive nation building work.
Shivir Adhikari Shri. Kruleso Ngadong, Shivir Pramukh Shri. Andhiso Dellang, Shivir Vyawastha Pramukh Smt. Ibulu Tayang Mam and other Alumni of VKV Tezu had arranged for the food and refreshments of the Shibir.

Sri Rama Navami at Hebbal

On the auspicious occasion of Sri Rama Navami, Vivekananda Kendra Hebbal branch organised a Bhajan Sandhya at Sidhivinayaka temple, Sambodh foundation on 30th of March, 2023. 20 people took part in the Bhajan Sandhya which was followed by a Satsang.
Pujya Sri Swami Bodhananda Ji gave an enlightening discourse on the importance of Sri Rama tatwa and on the values that we should learn and inculcate from the life of Sri Rama.

Yoga Satra - Ajmer

एक विचार लो। उसे अपना जीवन बना लो। उसके बारे में सोचो उसके सपने देखो, उस विचार को जीओ। अपने मस्तिष्क, मांसपेशियों, नसों, शरीर के हर हिस्से को उस विचार में डूबो दो और बाकी सभी विचारों को किनारे रख दो। यही सफल होने का तरीका है। स्वामी विवेकानन्द के इस विचार से विश्व में महान व्यक्तित्वों का निर्माण हुआ है। कार्य करते समय केवल कार्य का चिंतन करना और परिणाम को ईश्वर के चरणों में समर्पित करने का भाव रखना ही जीवन में न केवल सफलता प्राप्त होती है अपितु चिंता एवं तनाव भी दूर रहता है। उक्त विचार विवेकानन्द केन्द्र कन्याकुमारी राजस्थान के प्रान्त कार्यपद्धति प्रमुख डाॅ. स्वतन्त्र शर्मा ने क्षेत्रीय शिक्षा संस्थान, अजमेर के बी.एस.सी. बीएड के विद्यार्थियों को त्रिदिवसीय योग सत्र के समापन के अवसर पर व्यक्त किए। उन्होंने व्यक्तित्व के पांच आयामों की व्याख्या करते हुए कहा कि हमारे अस्तित्व के पांच भाग होते हैं जिसमें पहला शरीर होता है तथा दूसरा उसे चलाने वाली ऊर्जा जिसे प्राण कहते हैं। तीसरा इस प्राण का स्रोत मन होता है तथा चैथा मन को दिशा देने वाली शक्ति बुद्धि होती है। पांचवा और अंतिम आयाम इन चारों के योग से बनता है जिसे आनन्द कहते हैं और यही योग का अंतिम लक्ष्य है। 

इस योग सत्र में विद्यार्थियों को श्वसन के अभ्यासों के साथ ही शिथिलीकरण अभ्यास सिखाए गए तथा बीजमंत्रों के साथ सूर्यनमस्कार का अभ्यास सिखाया गया। इसके अतिरिक्त मन को शांत रखने के लिए आसन कराए गए तथा कपालभाति क्रिया, नाड़ी शुद्धि प्राणायाम एवं भ्रामरी प्राणायाम का अभ्यास भी कराया गया। विवेकानन्द केन्द्र अजमेर के युवा प्रमुख अंकुर प्रजापति ने अभ्यासों का प्रदर्शन किया तथा सत्र समन्वयक प्रो0 आयुष्मान गोस्वामी रहे।

Sports Day Celebration at VKV Kanyakumari

Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya M.H.S.S., Vivekanandapuram celebrated Sports Day at the school premises on 24-03-2023 at 2.30 p.m. in which 1100 students participated. The Chief Guest of the programme was Sri. N. Pradeep Chandru, the founder and C.E.O. of Mafiree and founder of Miru Sports. The program started with invocation song by the students of Class V. E.Abishek of VIII C hosted the programme and J.S.Sri Varshini of VIII A presented the welcome address. R.Rashmitha of VIII A presented a brief speech on the importance of the day.

The Chief Guest Sri.N.Pradeep Chandru was a former student of V.K.V. In his address, he shared some of his school life experiences and insisted all the students to develop the ‘Never quit’ attitude. Also, he advised the students to play well and have a healthy life. After that, the Chief Guest distributed prizes to all the winners.  Smt. K.R.Ishwarya, Teacher read out the prize list of winners. N. Nadasha of VIII B delivered the vote of thanks and the programme was concluded with Kendra Prarthana.

नवसंवत्सर 2080 - जोधपुर शाखा

विवेकानंद केंद्र जोधपुर शाखा द्वारा आयोजित नवसंवत्सर 2080 के स्वागत कार्यक्रम में आयुर्वेद विशेषज्ञ डॉ. नवनीत दाधीच, सहायक प्राध्यापक - डॉ राधाकृष्णन आयुर्वेद महाविद्यालय करवड़,जोधपुर -  ने उपस्थित योग साधकों को आयुर्वेद के स्वास्थ्य के नियमों की जानकारी देते हुए नए वर्ष में भारतीय संस्कृति के आयुर्वेद पर आधारित अनुशासित मिताहार का संकल्प लेने का आवाहन किया। डॉ. दाधीच  ने "भारतीय संस्कृति और आयुर्वेद" इस विषय पर मार्गदर्शन देते हुए बताया कि भारत का आयुर्वेद स्वास्थ्य के लिए सर्वोत्तम है। यह जानकारी विवेकानंद केंद्र के संपर्क प्रमुख पंकज व्यास ने दी। कार्यक्रम का प्रारंभ नव वर्ष निमित्त तिलक कर ओमकार प्रार्थना के पश्चात सह युवा प्रमुख संजय देव द्वारा  वक्ता परिचय से हुआ। डॉ. दाधीच के प्रेरक मार्गदर्शन के लिए विभाग प्रमुख प्रेम रतन सोतवाल ने स्मृति चिन्ह और साहित्य देकर धन्यवाद ज्ञापन दिया।  कार्यक्रम में प्रकल्प संगठक दीपक खैरे, युवा प्रमुख श्याम मालवीय, कार्य पद्धति प्रमुख गौरव शर्मा, योग वर्ग प्रमुख भगवान पंवार, स्वाध्याय प्रमुख हिम्मत सिंह, आईटी प्रमुख अनमोल शर्मा, नगर समिति सदस्य प्रकाश भाटी, रवि गुप्ता,साहित्य मनीष राठौड़, तरुण जी, अंबालाल, अमिता बोहरा, अनीता बोराणा, आयुषी भूतड़ा उपस्थित थे।

Civil20 Inception Meeting at Nagpur

Dr Joram Begi, Shri Dipankar Mahanta and Ku. Sayanti on behalf of the Vivekananda Kendra Institute of Culture participated in the Civil20 Inception Meeting at Nagpur where the Civil Society Organisations got together to discuss the 14 different themes presented by the respective Working Groups in these two days. Below is given the schedule of the meeting.

Day 1: 20 March, 2023

In the forenoon the Plenary Session I on Balancing Development with Environment was held, covering Working Groups on -  Integrated Holistic Health: Mind, Body, and Environment; Sustainable & Resilient Communities: Climate, Environment, and Net Zero Targets; Lifestyle for Environment (LiFE); Revival of Rivers & Water Management. 

The Chair for this session was Shri Satyananda Mishra, Former Chief Information Commissioner, India and the Invited Speakers were – Dr. Andy Carmone, Dr. Merle de Kreuk, Shri Jadav Payeng, Smt. Indira Khurana. Besides them the WG Coordinators viz., Dr Priya Nair, Dr Maneesha Sudheer, Dr Gajanand Dange and Smt. Vasuki Kalyanasundaram also spoke. 

In the afternoon the Inaugural Ceremony was held with Mata Amritanandmayi on the Chair. The Speakers for this Inaugural Session were – Shri Kailash Satyarthi, Shri Devendra Fadnavis, Ahmad Maftuchan, Alessandra Nilo, Dr. Vinay Sahasrabuddhe, Amb. Vijay Nambiar and Su.Nivedita R Bhide.

Day 2: 21 March, 2023

In the forenoon the Plenary Session II on Civil Society Organisations and Promotion of Human Values was held covering Working Groups on - Sewa – Sense of Service, Philanthropy and Volunteerism; Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam – World is One Family; Diversity, Inclusion, Mutual Respect; Human Rights as Human Values.

The Chair for this session was Shri Shyam Parande, Secretary, Sewa International and the Invited Speakers were – Nasima Hurzuk, Swami Paratmananda and Owain James. Besides them the WG Coordinators viz., Santosh Gupta, Dr.Vikrant Tomar, Dr. Joram Begi and Dr. Durganand Jha also spoke. 

In the forenoon the Plenary Session III on Role of Civil Society in Promoting Human Development was held covering Working Groups on - Gender Equality and Disability (GED); SDG 16+ and Promoting Civic Space; Participative Democracy for Governance and Development.

The Chair for this session was Su.Nivedita R Bhide, Vice-President, Vivekananda Kendra, Kanyakumari and the Invited Speakers were – Gabriella Wright, Shri Bala Subramaniam and Meg Jones. Besides them the WG Coordinators viz., Prof. Bhavani Rao, Nidhi Goyal, Dr. Basavraju R Shreshta and Dr.Jyotsna Mohan also spoke. 

In the afternoon the Plenary Session IV on Civil Society Organisations as Drivers of Innovation and Technology was held covering Working Groups on - Technology, Security, and Transparency; Preservation and Conservation of Traditional Arts, Crafts and Culture; Traditional and Innovative Ways of Livelihood and Employment; Education and Digital Transformation; Special Committee on Finance Issues. 

The Chair for this session was Amb. Vijay Nambiar, Sherpa, C20 2023 and the Invited Speakers were – Alison Lynn Richards, Jaya Jaitly, Veronika Soboleva and Binny Buchori. Besides them the Working Group Coordinators viz., Dr Krishnashree Achuthan, Smt. Kshipra Shukla, Dr.Prema Nedungadi and Deepti George also spoke. 

The Valedictory Session was chaired by Amb. Vijay Nambiar and the Speakers were Dr Vinay Sahasrabuddhe and Amb. Abhay Thakur.

Atma Bodham Shibir at Madurai

Vivekananda Kendra Madurai organised Atma Bodham Shibir for Kendra Karyakathas at Mata Amritanandamayi Math, Pasumalai from 5 p.m. on 18.03.2023 to 3 p.m. on 19.03.2023. Totally 28 Kendra Karyakarthas participated in the shibir.

The purpose of the camp is to nurture and strengthen the Karyakathas for national work. Dakshin Prant Sangathak Mananeeya Radha Didi guided the shibir and gave lectures on the topics of Bhagavad Gita and Upanishads.

All the karyakarthas felt spiritually rejuvenated by the camp and took sankalpa to contribute for the national work more efficiently. The shibir was concluded with Kendra Prarthana.

The Honorable President of Bharat Draupadi Murmu Ji visited the Vivekananda Rock Memorial and Ramayana Darshanam on 18/3/2023.


"Visiting the iconic Vivekananda Rock Memorial is a memorable  experience for me. I marvel at the greatness of the late Eknath Ranade Ji who was behind the building of the spiritually charged complex. I feel blessed to have a feel of the great ennobling mission of Swami Vivekananda in this place.

Mathru Pooja at VKV Vallioor

Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Vallioor celebrated Mathru Pooja at the school premises on March 18, 2023 at 10.30 a.m. 75 parents of the class X students of the school participated in the celebration.

The programme started with the prayer song by Teacher Mrs. Bavani. Vice President of Nanguneri Mrs. Natchiyar presided over the function as the Chief Guest. The Chief Guest lit the lamp and followed by her, The Principal and the parents of the students lit the lamp. Welcome address was delivered by Teacher Mrs. Subbulakshmi. One of the teachers of the school Mrs. Devi led the Mathru Pooja. The students followed the mantra chanted by her and did Paatha pooja to their parents.

Teacher Mrs. Muthulakshmi delivered a speech about Mathru Pooja. The Chief Guest Mrs. Natchiyar also addressed the gathering. The Principal Sri. Muthukrishnan Ji presented a memento to the Chief Guest. Teacher Mrs. Subha Maharasi delivered the vote of thanks and the programme was concluded with Kendra Prarthana. Prasadam was arranged for all the participants. The programme was well organised by The Correspondent Sri. S. K. Subramanian Ji and The Principal Sri. T. Muthukrishnan Ji.

UTSARGA programme in Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Kallubalu

On 17.3.2023 Friday, performed UTSARGA programme in Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya- Kallubalu for class X students. The programme began with prayer, Pratah smaran and Agni hotra by Ma. Lalita Didi.  Students with their parents offered Ahuti to the fire and offered flowers to the Goddess Saraswati and Swami Vivekananda  Shri S. Muralidharan ji, HOD Sanskrit , professor -Sheshadripuran Degree College - Bengaluru , Sri Vishwambara Charan Das Prabhu ji- ISKCON , Sri .Ishan Surya sir , well wisher of Vivekananda Kendra were  the Chief Guests .Sri Irappa sir welcomed all and introduced the Chief Guests followed by Ishan Surya sir's speech on the importance of the day.

Sri. Muralidharan ji spoke on the Quotes ' Shraddaavan Labhate  Jnanam '., 'Eakam Sat Vipra Bahudha Vadanti ' .and  Take up one idea, make that idea your life'. Sri Vishwambara ji discussed on Sri Krishnarjuna conversation and Santana Dharma.  Few students and parents shared their experiences.

Chief Guests handed over the Memento to the students and blessed them. Programme was concluded with Shanti manthra. Prasadam was provided to all after the programme. Total attended 98.

Webinar on Diversity, Inclusion, Mutual Respect

The Vivekananda Kendra Institute of Culture as its first initiative organised a Webinar on 7 march 2023 from 5.00 to 7.30 PM on the Cisco Webex platform. The webinar was participated by 262 participants from across the country as well as a few from abroad and also many through the VKIC Youtube channel.

The webinar started with Mangalacharan, after which Shri Dipankar Mahanta, Joint Secretary, VKIC welcomed all the participants from across the country and abroad, the invited speakers for the webinar and Pujya Swami Paramatmananda Maharaj, the Chief Guest of the webinar. This was followed by a power point presentation made by Shri Vinayak Ji on the Working Group (WG), the salient features of the concept note made on the theme, the various sub-themes, the progress made by the WG in organising the consultations amongst CSO’s thus far and how the WG has planned to take the various consultations forward across the country to finally arrive at the recommendations which will finally go to frame the policy pack of the C20.

After the brief background on the theme and the WG, the speakers were invited to share their views on the webinar. The speakers who spoke on the occasion were -

I.Suganya who won the 1st prize in singing competition sang a beautiful song.

Temple Cleaning Seva at Hebbal

Vivekananda Kendra, RT Nagar branch organized temple cleaning seva at Ananda Lingeshwara temple of Sumangali Seva Ashrama, Cholanayakanahalli, Hebbal. 27 Karyakarthas were involved in the work.
Vivekananda Kendra, RT Nagar branch organized temple cleaning activity at Ananda Lingeshwara temple of Sumangali Seva Ashrama, Cholanayakanahalli, Hebbal.
27 karyakartas (20 children and 7 adults) joined hands for this punya karya and cleaned the whole premises of the temple within one and half hours.
