VKIC 24th Ceremony of Foundation Day 2020


The Vivekanand Kendra Institute of culture celebrated today its glorious 24th Foundation day on 31st Jan 2020 at WM Auditorium of VKIC premise Uzan Bazar Guwahati. The celebration started with Manglacharan.

The programme was attended by dignitaries, invitees, eminent personalities and Vivekanand Kendra’s Karyakakarta of Assam The Report of Activities was presented by VKIC depicting its vision and the work done by the Institute during the year 2019. Dr. P.C. Bhattacharya, Director (RAC) of VKIC delivered the welcome address. Speaking on the significance of the Foundation day and VKIC, launched in 1996 a Vivekanand Kendra Kanyakumari, initiative for research and documentation of the communities of India’s North East with the motive Sanskriti Aikyam Pushanaati which means Culture Nurtures Unity he said that the VKIC directly involves the more than 236 tribes and sub tribes through research, documentation, symposium etc. of community concerned to understand the richness of the traditional system and think on conflict avoidance and not conflict resolutions. Dr. Bhattacharya also mentioned that VKIC has been nominated as one of the 10 institutional member in the sub commission social sciences in the reconstituted Indian commission for the cooperation with UNESCO (INCCU).

Sri Dangmei Lungpuijei Kabui an indigenous faith promoter from Manipur was honored with its prestigious VKIC Sanmaan for 2020 at the function for his contribution and devotion to preserve and foster the age old tradition, culture and Dharma of the Nation for providing education to down trodden youth of the far flung villages without looking for any assistance from Govt. and also to bring out peace and tranquility, re establishing the unity amongst the communities of North East India.

The VKIC Sanmaan was presented by the Chief Guest of the function Dr. T.G. Sitharam Director of Indian Institute of Technology, (IITG) Guwahati. The award comprises a Seleng chadara, citation, a memento, a plaque and a set of VKIC publications along with a cash component of Rs 25000/-(Twenty Five Thousand only).



In his acceptance speech, Sri D. L. Kabui expressed his gratitude to the VKIC and spoke about his work to preserve and promote the cultural heritage of the Kabui Tribes and its Kabui Sanskriti. He underlined the virtues of its ancient faith and mentioned about 34 different tribes (Jana jati) in the state of Manipur, Assam and Nagaland. He told that the Kabui tribe has its own beautiful ethnic culture and Kabui dance is known to the world but at present Kabui tradition and culture losing its significance. He further said that let any be the reason I stand for the tradition and culture.

He thanked the VKIC for conferring on him the award and said it is a proud moment and the honor was not just for me but for the entire Kabui tribes of Manipur. He also said he has worked for the upliftment of Kabui tribe in every aspect at his personal level and will continue to do so in the future also. He has been working as an editor, since 1980. He translated the holy Granth “Bhavat Geeta” into “Kabui Dialect”.

Chief Guest of the programme Dr. T.G. Sitharam reflected on the work of IIT Guwahati as how it is playing an important role in society by imbibing value education to the student not only by giving technical or science education but involving regular yoga sessions. He also mentioned that how he is connected with VKIC as earlier he was associated with Dr. H.R. Nagendra, the worker of Vivekanad Kendra in S-VYASA University, Bangalore.

The Chief Guest and the other dignitaries released the New Books and 4 reprinted versions of the books respectively from VKIC Publication. The VKIC New publication of the books are Diversified Unity Focus North East India, Bhartiya Bhakti Andolonot Asomor Abadaan , Incorporating the Indian Civilization Narative in the Strategic Domain by S. Gurumurthy and also the current Issue of Journal Quest published by VKIC.

Next most awaited attraction of the function was a scintillating cultural performance by the artists of Galo Toupe from Arunachal Pradesh. The group has performed a ritual of the Galo Community .It was a traditional folk dance of Galoo Tribe one of descended of Tani Clan. Dr. P.C. Bhattacharya (RAC) of VKIC facilitated the members of Galo Troupe.

The shining stars of VKV who have shown their Excellency by securing highest rank in Arts/Science and Commerce stream were also be felicitated by the chair person Sri Deepak k. Borthakur and Director (RAC) of VKIC.  Certificates have been distributed to the participants by the Chair person and the Director of VKIC, who have completed the six months course of “My India, Eternal India”. The formal vote of thanks was offered by Dr. Rahul Mazumdar after which, the Foundation Day 2020 celebration was concluded with Shanimantra chanted.

महाराष्ट्र मे युवा नेतृत्व विकास शिबिर

२५,२६, २७ दिसम्बर स्वामी विवेकानन्द ने कन्याकुमारी मे विशेषरुप से भारत पुनरउत्थान को लेकर ध्यान किया था, इस उपलक्ष मेे विवेकानंद केंद्र कन्याकुमारी, महाराष्ट्र की ओर से २५ दिसम्बर २०१९ से २९ दिसम्बर २०१९ के बीच में युवा नेतृत्व विकास शिबिर का आयोजन नाशिक में अंजनेरी पर्वत के चरणों मे रहे ब्रम्ह वैली महाविद्यालय के प्रांगण में किया गया।

शिबिर में महाराष्ट्र के विभिन्न क्षेत्रों से 333 युवा सहभगि हुए। भाइयो के 9 गण तथा बहनो के 6 गण ऐसे विभागीय रचना की गयी। शिबिर के उद्घाटन समारोह में ब्रम्हवैली शिक्षा संस्थान के श्री. राजाराम पानगव्हाने जी, महाराष्ट्र प्रान्त संघटक विश्वास जी लपालकर एवम शिबिर प्रमुख मदगोण्डा पुजारी जी आदि प्रमुख उपस्थित रहे। उद्घटान के उपलक्ष में मुख्य कार्यकारी अधिकारी (CEO) रमेश नेवाले जी ने युवाओं को सम्बोधित करते हुए व्यक्तिमत्व विकास के कुछ मन्त्र साझा किए।



शिबिर के दूसरे दिन की शुरुआत आ.विश्वास जी के "स्वामीजी के सपनो का भारत" इस विषय पर भाष्य करते हुए हुई.. स्वामी जी का ध्यान, भारत भ्रमण, स्वामी जी को युवाओं से अपेक्षा इन विषयो पर खास ध्यान दिया । दोपहर विजयक्षण में संजय जी कुलकर्णी जी ने "संघटनात्मक कार्य, कुशलता और उपलब्धियां" इन विषयों पर बौद्धिक मार्गदर्शन किया। दिन के सभी सत्र जैसे भोजन सत्र, गीत अभ्यास, भजन संध्या आदि सारे कार्यकर्ताओ के आपसी तालमेल और कुशलता पूर्वक नियोजन से सहजता से पूर्ण हुए। शिबिर के दूसरे दिन अभय जी बापट इन्होंने "एकनाथ जी कौन ?" इस विषय पर तथा द्वितीय सत्र में सुलेविले चक्रवर्ती जी इन्होंने "जगद्गुरु भारत के सामने चुनौतियां" इस विषय पर मार्गदर्शन किया और विषय को सहज एवम उत्साहपूर्वक स्वर में युवाओं के सामने रखा। विजयक्षण के उपलक्ष्य में CA तथा IAS आर.रामकृष्णन जी इन्होंने कष्ट का महत्व समझाया । शिबिर के चौथे दिन की सुबह नरेंद्र जोशी जी ने एकता, संयम तथा पवित्रता का विस्तृत रूप में मार्गदर्शन किया तथा किरण कीर्तन जी ने "एक भारत विजय भारत" की संकल्पना द्वितीय सत्र में समझाई। विजयक्षण के उपलक्ष्य में आ.भानुदास जी ने समाज प्रथम की भावना को सहज शब्दो मे समझाया और देश के लिए साधन मात्र जीवन आदर्श जीवन कैसे है यह भी समझाया ।

शिबिर के अंतिम दिन याने पांचवे दिन बसवराज जी देशमुख तथा प्रकाश पाठक जी ने केंद्र कार्य तथा सूर्यदेवता पर मार्गदर्शन किया। शिबिर के अंतिम दिन में सुबह 6 बजे अंजनेरी पर्वत जो हनुमान जी का जन्मस्थान बताया जाता है वहां पर्वत के चरणों मे सूर्यनमस्कार महायज्ञ का आयोजन कोय गया जहाँ कुल 470 कार्यकर्ताओ ने मिलकर सामूहिक 108 सूर्यनमस्कार का महायज्ञ किया। शिबिर में केंद्रीय आयुष मंत्री श्रीपाद नाईक, विवेकानंद केंद्र मराठी प्रकाशन विभाग के सरचिटणीस श्रीमती नीलिमा ताई पवार इनकी भी उपस्थिति रही।

प्रातःस्मरण, भजनसंध्या, केंद्रवर्ग, श्रमसंस्कार, संस्कार वर्ग, गणचर्चा, मंथन इन सत्रो से शिबिरार्थीओ में आपसी संवाद तथा एक दिशादर्शन भी हुआ।

Inaugural Function

The Inaugural Function on 12th January 2020, was presided by Mananeeya A Balkrishnanji, Vice President, Vivekananda Rock Memorial & Vivekananda Kendra, Kanyakumari. Sri Dharmendra Pradhan, Hon’ble Union Minister, Petroleum & Natural Gas and Minister Of Steel was the Chief Guest. Other inaugurators were Param Pujya Paramhansa Prajnananandaji, President Prajnana Mission and Param Pujya Swami Atmaprabhanandaji, President, Ramakrishna Math, Bhubaneswar.



Mananeeya A Balakrishnanji in his address enlightened the audience about the objectives of AICYAM and emphasized its relevance in present context. Swami Atmaprabhanandaji in his blessings stressed that peace can prevail only when the Swamiji’s message are reflected in our day to day life. Pujya Paramhansa Prajnananandaji in his address, impressed upon all to rejuvenate the sleeping ‘Atmasakti’ and utilize the same in  ‘Bahujana Hitaya’ and ‘Bahujan Sukhaya’.


Honourable Chief Guest Sri Dharmendra Pradhan in his address described how Swamiji endeavoured to change the perception of foreigners about India that it is a country of snakes, snake charmers and poor. Dr. Geeta Padhy, Chairman reception Committee of VK AICYAM welcomed the guests and  Prof. G. K. Roy, convenor VKAICYAM extended the vote of thanks.

 Janajati Seminar

A Janajati Seminar was organized at 4.30 PM on 12th January. The theme of the seminar was “Traditional Systems – Change & Continuity” amongst the Janajatis (Tribal communities). After the welcome address by Professor G.K. Roy, Convenor, AICYAM, Mananeeya Nivedita Bhide, Vice President, Vivekananda Rock Memorial & Vivekananda Kendra, Kanyakumari, in her Keynote address, elaborated on the Kendra’s approach of Janajati studies – participative research. Prof. K. K. Mishra, the former Vice Chancellor of Culture University of Odisha spoke on the difference between education and literacy. The other Guest Prof. Premananda Panda spoke on Tribal Economy and Livelihood Dr. A. B. Ota, Special Secretary-cum-Director of SCSTRI, who chaired the seminar, summing up, narrated the Tribal development programmes of the Government since Plan and Sub-plan period. Tribal Scholars of KISS University and Tribal Elites of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand and West Bengal also actively participated in the Seminar. Sri RK Mishra, member AICYAM, offered the vote of thanks. At the end colourful tribal dance performances were staged by the students of KISS University and ATLC in presence of the participants and guests. The entire Seminar was Co-ordinated by Prof. NC Dash, member AICYAM.


Workshop on “Indian Ethos and Leadership Excellence”

On 15th January at 9.30 AM a workshop was organized on Indian Ethos and Leadership Excellence. The workshop was presided by Dr. S. K. Tamotia, Vice President of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Bhubaneswar. Prof. Panduranga Bhatta, retired professor of IIM Kolkota was the Chief Resource Person. Mananeeya Nivedita Bhide, Vice-President, Vivekananda Rock Memorial & Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari in her concluding remarks put forth the Need of Bharateeya view of Management. The entire workshop was co-ordinated by Smt. Sujata Mangaraj. 114 Students from various Management colleges of Bhubaneswar including Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan participated in the workshop. Discussion was held in three sessions, dedicated to -  Excellence, Leadership and Indian Ethos respectively.

Workshop on “Transformation of Personality Through Yoga” on 16th January 2020

The workshop started at 9.00 am with prayer and a PPT presentation on the concept of Panch kosha and Yoga, followed by a practice session, involving tailor made practices of selected asanas, pranayam and relaxation technique. The participants then attended the Valedictory function of AICYAM’s inauguration in presence of Hon’ble Governor of Odisha, Prof Ganeshi Lal ji, Govt. Of Odisha’s Minsiter of State with Independent Charge for Skill Development Sri Ashok Chandra Panda and Vice President of VRM & VK Mananeeya Nivedita Bhide.  The public meeting was followed by a session of OMKAR meditation. The workshop concluded with the Mananeeya Nivedita Didi’s address to the participants on “Yoga Way of Life”. Mananeeya Didi explained to the participants how Yoga is not just a set of physical or breathing practices but is based on the vision of Oneness of existence. In the end Mananeeya Nivedita didi called upon all the participants to take initiative in organizing Yoga Satras in their respective educational institutions and form teams for the International Day Of Yoga. 102 participants from various Under Graduate and Graduate institutions participated in the workshop.

पानीपत मे राष्ट्रीय युवा दिवस आयोजन

स्वामी विवेकानंद जी के जन्मदिवस पर विवेकानंद केंद्र कन्याकुमारी शाखा पानीपत की ओर से 12 जनवरी 2020 को एक विचार गोष्ठी व कवि सम्मेलन का आयोजन किया गया यह कार्यक्रम  अपोलो इंटरनेशनल स्कूल  संभालखा (पानीपत) के सभागार में संपन्न हुआ। कार्यक्रम में संभालखा के विधायक धर्मपाल सिंह छोकर मुख्य अतिथि के रूप में  मौजूद रहे।  डॉ अशोक बतरा जी ने स्वामी विवेकानन्द के जीवन से प्रेरणादायी घटनाएं बताई। अलकागौरी, प्रांत संगठक हरियाणा और पंजाब ने विवेकानन्द शिला स्मारक के 50 वर्ष और विवेकानन्द केन्द्र की गतिविधियों के विषय में अवगत कराया। देश के जाने-माने कवि योगेंद्र मोदगिल (पानीपत), सौरव कांत शर्मा (चंदौसी), सौरव सैनी (अलवर),  सत्यपाल सत्यम (मेरठ), दिनेश सिंघल (जोधपुर), अशोक बत्रा (सोनीपत)  जी ने काव्य पाठ किया।  कार्यक्रम में उपस्थित लोगों की संख्या 250 की रही। पानीपत शाखा से नगर संयोजक सुशील चहल सह संयोजक बहन रजनी व अन्य कार्यकर्ता मौजूद रहे।
