YOGA SASTRA SANGAMAM

Yoga Sangamam at Kanyakumari, three days on the banks of the three oceans is first of its kind.
The Yoga Sangamam is a National Conference on Yoga, distinctly different from the usually and normally held Yoga conferences and seminars. The Sangamam is devoted to the Yoga Sastra viz. Yoga texts. The Conference will be focussed on topics, ideas, contents, interpretations of textual contents of various Yoga Texts like – Patanjali Yoga Sutras, Hatha Pradipika, Gheranda Samhita, Shiva Samhita, Yoga Vasistha, Bhagvad Gita, Vasistha Samhita etc. and the various practices enumerated in these texts. The Yoga Sangamam will provide an intense discussion and understanding of the Yoga Sastra.

Sthanik Karyakarta Prasikshan Shibir 2017 - Barak Vibhag, Assam

Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari Barak Vibhag Sthanik Karyakarta Prasikshan Shibir was conducted from 21st July 2017 to 26th July 2017 at VKV Ramnagar. 36  participants (18 Brothers and 18 Sisters) were present there from different places of Barak Vibhag likely Badarpur, Borojalenga, Silchar, Jaipur, Umrangsho. 17 members  of Organizing Team (13 Brothers and 4 Sisters) and 12 Staff members were present for the disciplined work of the shibir as a team.

Organising team was reported on 19th July 2017 and Shibir started on 21st July 2017 at 4pm with the registration of the participants. After that Bhajan Sandhiya was done. On Inaugural session Sri Pannalal Bakshi, Sri Niharendu Dhar dada and Sri Ardhendu Dutta dada were present on dias. They motivated the students and spoke on obeying the rules and regulations of the camp.                               

Shibir Adhikari: Sri Ardhendu Dutta dada, Shibir Pramukh: Sri Prasanta Chakraborty dada , Boudhik Pramukh: Kathamrita Bhattacharjee didi, Sharirik Pramukh: Sri Jitendra dada, Shibir Nirikshak: Sri Bijon Saha dada, Vyavastha Pramukh: Sri B M Naidu sir, Vyavastha Saha Pramukh: Smt Lipika Didi, Geet Mantra Pramukh: Kum Ratnadeepa didi, Abash Vyavastha Pramukh: Sri Partho Narayan Singha dada, Bhojan Vyavastha Pramukh: Sri Ram Suvog kairi dada. (from Pranta : Sri Kalamkanta dada were present in the boithok for overall Nirikshak of KPS)

Participants were divided in four Ganas namely  Acharya Jagadish Chandra (Gana Pramukh-Sajal Das) , Rishi Arabinda (Gana Pramukh-Rajdeep Sen) , Kabiguru Rabindranath (Gana Pramukh- Bikram Chetri) and Bhagini Nivedita (Gana Pramukh- Priyanka Dutta).

Satra – I The Boudhik sessions were “Amader Prerona Srot Swami Vivekananda (Ad Niharendu Dhar ), on 22nd July , Amader Gourav Moyee Bharat (Ad Arun Sen),on 23rd July, The need of Organized Work (Ad Ardhendu Dutta), on 24th July and Kendra Prarthana ( Ad Bijon Saha) on 25th July 2017”.

Satra –II  The Boudhik sessions were “Vivekananda Kendra (Ad Ratnankur Bhattacharjee), on 22nd July , The story of Vivekananda Rock Memorial  (Ad Sanjeev Bhattacharjee) on 23rd July, Karyapaddhati (Kum Kathamrita Bhattacharjee), on 24th July and Karyakarta Ka Gun Vikash (Ad Khaunish Chakraborty) on 25th July 2017”.

Manthan satra :    In Manthan, a chapter from Rousing Call to Hindu Nation “Punya Bhumi” (Summed up by Sri Raja Bhattacharjee),  A chapter from Sadhana of service”Atma paribarthanar Prerna” (summed up by Nilendu Dhar dada),  A chapter from Sadhana of service “Sevamulak Karya” (Summed up by Sri B M Naidu Sir) was discussed by the participants in Ganas and presented by one of the member of  Gana.                                                      

In Patheya the Topics were Utsavs ( Ad Lipika didi), Sanskar Varga (Ad Jitendra dada), Vivekananda Kendra (Ad Kamalakant dada), Video of Anandalaya was also shown in this session.

One session was there as “Subhasish” after Bhajan Sandhiya everyday  where some established persons from society came and blessed the participants. Namely Dr. S K Nandi Purkayastha (Renowned doctor) , Sri Madhav Roy ( Statistical  Officer), Sri Mulchand Baid (Renowned Merchant), Sri Ananda Roy ( Engineer).   

Other regular sessions were Geeta Path, Kendra Varga, Sanskar Varga, Shram Sanskar, Agna abhyas, Bhajan Sandhiya, Prerna Se Punarutthan. Video of rock Memorial was also shown in  Prerna Se Punarutthan.

On 25th July Manthan session, Niyojan was done by the participants mainly for conducting Sanskar Varga and Personality Development Camp in Schools. Participants made teams of 3 members each and given schools name where they will conduct Sanskar Varga and PDC. The date for the next meeting regarding this matter was also finalized.

Samapan satra (26th July 2017): Sri Pannalal Bakshi ,Vibhag Sanchalak  and Sri Ardhendu Dutta, Vibhag Vyavastha Pramukh and Sri Prashanta Chakaraborty, Principal VKV Badarapur were present.

Sri Ardhendu Dutta dada, Sibir Adhikari read out the shibir report and three Kary kartha was shared  their experiences in the shibir and Ahuti satra (Ad Prasanta Chakraborty).

Shibir geet Navin parva ke liye ..... was sung together.

Sri Pannalal Bakshi stressed on the point that whatever we learnt, will only be fruitful when we spread the messages of Swami Vivekananda, for that we have to devote some time each for the society.

All offered flowers to ‘Om kar’ and took pledge to devote some time for the society.

Nagpanchami Celebration at Nagdandi

Nagpanchami, Mahasamadhi Diwas of Swami Ashokanandaji was celebrated in grand manner in Sri Ramkrishna Mahasammelan Ashram, Nagdandi, Achabal, Anantanaga, J & K on 27 - 28th July 2017.
On this auspicious occasion, special Yagna started on 27th july evening, was concluded on 28th afternoon. Reconstruction of Sri Ramkrishna Temple was completed and dedicated to the Nation on this special occasion. Special Shoba Yatra was organized morning 8.30 to 9.30. Special rongoli made by group came from Tamilnadu, Vivekandna Kendra Prakashan Trust. Whole temple was arranged by variety of flowers and Mango tree leaf. Sri Ramkrishna pooja was performed by monk came from the Sri Ramkrishna Mission, Srinagar.
There was one public program after pooja and yagna chaired by Swami Kumar and Monk from Sri Ramakrishna mission, Srinagar.
Around 300 Kashmiri Pandits and people came from various part of country like Himachal Pradesh, Gujarat, Tamilnadu took part in the program.

All India Yoga Shiksha Shivir 2017

All India Yoga Shiksha Shivir (Medium- Hindi) was held at Sri Ramkrishna Mahasamelan Ashram Nagadandi under the Aegis of Vivekananda Kendra from 16th to 25th july 2017.

Five participants from Yavatmal, Pune, Parmanu and Delhi reported on 15th and same day the Shivir started with the Introductory session, wherein the participants were given the guidelines of the Shivir.

On 16th morning, Shivir was started with inaugural lecture on “Concept of Yoga” by Mananeeya Hanumanth Raoji, the all India Treasurer of Vivekananda Kendra.

The 10 days Shivir had daily routine from 0430 to 2200 hrs Pratahsmaran & Gita-Pathan, Yogabhyas & Pranayam (moring & evening), Shram-Samskar, two Lecture sessions, Manthan, Geet-Abhyas, Pranayama and Aumkar Dhyan (Meditation) classes, Bhajan Sandhya, and concluded with Ananda Mela.

The lecture sessions were on the topics of: Concepts of Yoga, Rajayoga, Bhaktiyoga, Janayoga and Karmayoga, Bharateeya Samkriti, Concepts of Dharma, History of Kashmir, Meaning of Kendra Prarthana, Shrimad Bhagwad Geeta, Maneeya Eknathaji, Swami Vivekananda, Sister Nivedita, Sri Ramkrishna Paramhamsa, Story of Vivekananda Rock Memorial, Challenges and Response, Vivekananda Kendra-Concept and its activities.

During Manthan Participants discussed subjects - Yam - Niyam, Dharma, Seva, Tyag, Relevance of Ashram Vyavstha.

During Shram-Samskar, participants took care of the cleanliness, arrangement and management of the premises, accommodation, class rooms, dining hall,  Plantation of new flower garden in ashram, work in apple garden and Guashala displaying team-spirit and selfless service.

During the Camp, Participants visited Kokarnag, Verinag, Martand Sun Temple, Achhabal Garden.

The Shivir went on well in a congenial, spiritual atmosphere with self discipline.

The camp was concluded on 25th in precence of Mananeeya Rekhadidi, All India Joint General Secetary of Vivekananda Kendra. Participant were felicitated with the certificate.

All the participants have expressed their willingness to devout their time and energy for the Service of the society through Vivekananda Kendra.

एक में अनेक की अनुभूति है योग

क्षेत्रीय शिक्षा संस्थान में योग सत्र का आयोजन : वेद का वाक्य ‘एकोह्म बहुस्यामः’ के अनुसार एक ही ब्रह्म जो अनेक स्वरूपों में प्रकट हुआ है उसकी अनुभूति कर लेना ही योग है। योगाभ्यास के माध्यम से समाहित अवस्था में प्राप्त ऊर्जा से व्युत्थान अवस्था अर्थात संपूर्ण दिन में योगमय स्थिति को पा लेना ही योग है। चित्त की वृत्तियों को नियंत्रित कर अपने आनंदमय स्वरूप को प्रकटीकरण ही योग है। उक्त विचार विवेकानन्द केन्द्र राजस्थान प्रान्त प्रशिक्षण प्रमुख डॉ0 स्वतन्त्र कुमार शर्मा ने क्षेत्रीय शिक्षा संस्थान द्वारा अपने अधिकारियों, कर्मचारियों, शिक्षकों एवं विद्यार्थियों के लिए आयोजित दस दिवसीय योग प्रशिक्षण सत्र के दौरान व्यक्त किए। इस अवसर पर छात्रों का विशेष सत्र लेते हुए पूर्णकालिक कार्यकर्ता सुरेश लामा ने शिथिलीकरण, सूर्यनमस्कार एवं विभिन्न क्लिष्ट आसनों का अभ्यास कराया गया। नगर प्रमुख र
विन्द्र जैन ने बताया कि यह सत्र 10 जून तक लगाया जा रहा है।

Flood Relief Work in Gujarat

The Vivekananda Kendra karyakartas of Gujarat Prant appeal you to join us in the relief operation of flood affected areas of North Gujarat especially the villages of Banaskantha such as Lakhani, Disa, Dhanera, Tharad and Diyodar talukas.
In the first phase, aarta seva is needed. Therefore it has been decided after having seen the situation in the flood affected areas to give Grocery Kit and Utensils Kit to each family. The details of the same areas under:
Grocery Kit – Rs 1300/-
Utensils Kit – Rs   500/- … Total Rs 1800/- per family.
We have decided to distribute 2000 kits. The work has already begun and the first lot of 500 Kits will distribute on 07th August (Raksha Bandhan), second lot of 500 Kits will distribute on 15th August (Independence day) and Third lot of 1000 Kits will distribute on 25th August (Ganesh Chaturthi) by our karyakartas to the affected area.
