गुरु पूर्णिमा उत्सव — विवेकानन्द केन्द्र, भिवानी

विवेकानन्द केन्द्रभिवानी द्वारा 13 जुलाई को गुरु पूर्णिमा उत्सव का आयोजन श्रद्धा और उत्साह के साथ किया गया। कार्यक्रम की शुरुआत 11 ॐकार के उच्चारण से हुईजिसके पश्चात सीमा जी (सह-नगर प्रमुख) ने सभी उपस्थितों के साथ गुरु भजन का सामूहिक गायन करवाया।

कार्यक्रम में सह नगर संचालक प्रमुख श्री राजेन्द्र जी ने ” विषय पर विशेष प्रस्तुति दीजिसने सभी को आध्यात्मिक मूल्यों से जोड़ने का कार्य किया।

इस अवसर पर मा. निवेदिता दीदी का पत्रक पढ़ा गया। साथ हीसाहित्य प्रमुख श्री हरीश जी ने गुरु के महत्त्व पर प्रेरणादायक मार्गदर्शन प्रदान किया।

नगर संचालक श्री प्रेम प्रकाश जीविभाग प्रमुख लाल बहादुर शास्त्री जीकार्यपद्धति प्रमुख बलराम भाईसभी कार्यकर्तासंस्कार वर्ग के बच्चे तथा स्थानीय कार्यकर्ता प्रशिक्षण शिविर के प्रतिभागी परिवार सहित इस कार्यक्रम में सम्मिलित हुए।

बलराम भाई ने केंद्र वर्ग में सहभागिता का आह्वान किया तथा आगामी कार्यक्रमों की जानकारी दी।

कुल 65 प्रतिभागियों की उपस्थिति रही। कार्यक्रम के अंत में सभी को प्रसाद वितरण किया गया।

New Anandalaya Inaugurated on Gurupurnima by VK Hebbal

 

Gurupurnima is one of the five Utsavas celebrated in Vivekananda Kendra. In Kendra, Omkara is revered as the Guru, and Gurupurnima is celebrated grandly by all branch centers and projects of Vivekananda Kendra across Bharat.

On the auspicious occasion of Gurupurnima, Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Karnataka Prant, Hebbal branch, inaugurated a new Anandalaya on Aashada Purnima (10th July 2025) from 4:00 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. at Government School, Coffee Board Layout, Hebbal Kempapura, Bengaluru. Ten children from nearby Government schools attended the inaugural session.

The Anandalaya aims to provide academic support and value-based engagement for students of Classes 7 and 8. Karyakartas from the Hebbal branch will assist the children with their homework and studies, helping to instill discipline, focus, and cultural values. The initiative is planned to be conducted on a regular weekly basis.

The launch of the Anandalaya on Gurupurnima marks a meaningful step in Vivekananda Kendra’s commitment to nurturing young minds and fulfilling Swami Vivekananda’s vision of man-making and nation-building.

Gurupurnima Observance at the Vivekananda Rock Memorial

 

In the serene and spiritually charged atmosphere of the Vivekananda Rock Memorial, located mid-sea off the coast of Kanyakumari, Gurupurnima was celebrated with deep devotion on the morning of Ashadha Purnima (July 10, 2025). The tranquil dawn at Dhyan Mandir, the sacred meditation hall within the memorial, set the perfect backdrop for the observance.

The day’s proceedings began with Pratahsmaran and Karma Yoga Sloka Sangraha. 25 Kendra Karyakartas of Vivekananda Kendra gathered in silence and devotion. All participants joined in the chanting of Guru Stotram, invoking the grace and wisdom of the eternal Guru.

Mananeeya Shri Hanumantharao ji, All-India Vice-President of VRM & VK, addressed the karyakarthas and spoke on the significance of the Guru and why Omkar is revered as the Guru in Vivekananda Kendra. In his thought-provoking address, Ma. Hanumantharao ji highlighted Sanatana Dharma as a profound and time-tested cultural and spiritual tradition, capable of answering the most fundamental questions about life’s purpose.

He emphasized Omkar as the universal Guru and called upon the participants to imbibe the essence of Omkar in their daily lives. He urged everyone to cultivate noble virtues and embrace the collective responsibility of protecting and nurturing Sanatana Dharma for the welfare of all humanity.

Following the address, the Karyakartas entered a few minutes of meditation, absorbing the spiritual vibrations of the place. The program concluded with a Pushparpanam (floral offering) to the Guru Omkar in the Dhyan Mandir, as a mark of reverence and gratitude.

The Gurupurnima celebration at the iconic mid-sea memorial served as a profound reminder of Bharat’s spiritual legacy, and the need to live in alignment with the eternal values of dharma and universal harmony.

Inter-school Competitions on the Occasion of Gurupurnima in Mysore

 

As part of the Guru Purnima celebrations, Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Karnataka Prant, Mysore Branch organized an inter-school competitions including Guru Stotra chanting, bhajan, essay writing, and drawing at the Kendra Karyalaya.

The event was held on 5th July 2025 and witnessed enthusiastic participation from 146 students and 7 teachers representing 9 different schools. A total of 24 Kendra karyakartas were involved in coordinating and conducting the competitions.

The celebration aimed to instill in the students a deep sense of reverence for the Guru and the noble ideals of Bharatiya culture, while also encouraging creativity and expression through various art forms. The event was marked by spirited participation and served as a meaningful tribute to the Guru-shishya tradition.

Gurupurnima Celebration Madurai

On the occasion of Guru poornima, a special lecture was arranged on 27.07.2018 by 9.30 a.m. entitled “Guru Mahima” by Kendra Karyakartha Shri.D.Natarajan for the students of Sundararajapuram Corporation Higher Sec., School. 450 students from classes 6 to 12 attended the function. Shri. D. Natarajan lively shared the very essential virtues to be nurtured among students in a wonderful manner which was enjoyed by all the students.

On the Guru poornima day, 27.07.2018 at Balaji nagar karyalaya function started with Bhajan by 6.30 pm. Sanskaravarg children beautifully enacted a small drama on the story of Ekalavya. The motto of the program was conveyed by Kendra Karyakartha. Shri.Dr.Elango, Former Vice President, Vivekananda College delivered a lecture on the topic “ Guru Mahima”. More than 75 people attended the function and they all did pushpanjali to Omkar at the end of the function.

Guru poornima function was arranged at TVS nagar karyalaya on 28.07.2018. The function started with Bhajan by 6.30 pm. The motto of the program was conveyed by Nagar Pramukh. It was followed by a small drama on the story of Shravana which was enacted by sanskaravarg children. One of the well-wishers of Kendra Shri.Somasundaram ji addressed the gathering including the sanskaravarg children. He made an interactive session on the topic “Guru Mahima” by sharing his experiences. Prasad was given at the end of the program for all the 30 participants.

Another swadhyay program was arranged at Chokkikulam Karyalaya. Three people came together on 29.07.2018 at Chokkikulam karyalaya and they read and discussed Kumari. Nivedita Bhide’s (Vice President of Vivekananda Kendra) message to Karyakarthas regarding Gurupoornima Diwas.

Vivekananda Kendra Tinsukia Branch organized a programme on the occasion of Guru Purnima at Sripuria Godapukhuri Namghar on 26/07/16. The programme was attended by 50 people. The Satradhikar of Rangpuria Adarsh Satra, Respected Sri Mun Mun Mahanta graced the occasion as chief guest. The programme began with the felicitation of the Chief Guest as well as the 'bhokots' of the naamghar. On this occasion Sri P.S.Das,Nagar Sanchalak of Vivekananda Kendra and Principal of Tinsukia Commerce College briefed on the importance of Guru Purnima and why it is celebrated. The programme ended with a request by the people present to organize a Yoga Satra and Pranayam Satra for them.

Yagna on Gurupurnima at Shimla

Gurupurnima Utsav 2012Vivekananda kendra Shimla branch has celebrated 'Guru Purnima' utsav on Aashadi Purnima, Yugabdh ५११४. On this occasion Havan Pooja is organised in kendra karyalay. The Havan started in morning 6 O'clock to 7:30am. Nagar Samiti and other karyakartas of kendra joined the havan pooja. And after the worship prasad is distributed among the people. In this havan given special Ahuti to Varundev for good rain along with Gayatri mantra and Maha Mutrumjay Mantra.
Gurupurnima Utsav 2012 On this occasion respected Rekha Davey, Join General Secretary of Vivekananda Kendra present over here, and the havan pooja is completed in her presence. At the last all the people have shared their views on Guru Purnima's relevance.

१. ज्ञान (ज्ञान को अर्जीत करना पडता है)
२. साहस(ज्ञान के साथ आवश्यक है साहस)
३. दिक्षा (दिक्षा अर्थात दक्षता, ज्ञान के प्रती दक्षता )
४. प्रसाद(ज्ञान को प्रसाद भाव से ग्रहण करना है और प्रसाद भाव से ही वितरित करना चाहिये)
५. दान(ज्ञान के दान मे हमारा विकास होना है)

साथ ही बताया की हमारे कार्य मे निरंतरता रहनी चाहिये, ऋषि मुनियों के दिनचर्या मे सबसे अधिक स्थान निरंतरता को था | अवतार यह हमारे में से निर्माण होगे उसके लिये हमे संगठित होकर प्रयास करना होंगा. विश्व के कल्याण के लिये हमे हमारे ऋषियों ने जो जिवन पद्धती दि है उसे अपनाना होंगा |

Vivekananda Kendra Arun Jyoti felicitated Shri Nabam Singkam on the auspicious occasion of Guru PurnimaThe festival of guru poornima is the eve to remember the glories traditions of the Rishis and resolving ourselves to carry forward this work. On the eve of guru poornima celebration , Vivekananda Kendra Arun Jyoti felicitated shri Nabam Singkam, priest of central Nyedar Namlo Doimukh at Doimukh Namlo on 1st July 2012. A presentation and a citation had been given by Mananeeya Nabam Atum, ex- chairman APSC,A.P. earlier Mananeeya Rekhi Tana Tara, president of Central Nyedar Namlo  spoke on the importance of Guru Poornima. He did resemblance the Work of Nyedar Namlo priest to the age old practices of Gurus of our ancient India who used to have open heart for everyone. One who thinks good of others, the good of nation becomes the main passion.Vivekananda Kendra Arun Jyoti felicitated Shri Nabam Singkam on the auspicious occasion of Guru PurnimaShri Nabam Singkam started practicing priesthood from 2001. He has the Healing powers and cured many ailing and diseased persons who came to him. He devotedly finds time to contribute his might by actively participating in welfare programmes of nationalistic and patriotic organizations. At present he is dedicating his time as the unique Neydar Namlo Priest at Doimukh. On the occasion shri Taba Tatup, Prant Krayalaya Pramukh highlighted the various works of VK Arun Jyoti and appealed the gathering for the active participation in the ensuing 150th birth anniversary celebration of Swami Vivekananda. Shri Kalyan Dutta, Nagar Pramukh, Itanagar gave the vote of thanks to end the program.

VK Mysore Annual Activity Report

Kary paddati:
1.  Samskara varga: 2 places-34 children.
2. Swadyaya varga: a. Daily- 1 place-4 people, weekly- 1 place- 9 people, monthly- 1 place- 10 people.
3. Yoga satra: 2 places- 54 people benefitted.
Personality development camp:   in the month of may 2011, 7 day camp at r b i colony and roopa nagar conducted for  children.  64 children benefitted.
Matru pooja: 1 place 32 children performed pooja to their mothers. Sri kumarswamiji, a sanskrit scholar talked on importance of mother and role of mother.
Bhajan : daily bhajan - 5 people.
Youth campWeekly bhajan – 15 mothers together doing bhajans and chantings in different           houses in vishweshvara nagar locality.
Free tuition class/ anandalaya :  daily- 8 children.
Viveka sandesha programme (exhibition of sw. Vivekananda’s life and message cum sale of sri ramakrishna vivekananda literature)  :  r b i ganesha temple  2 times, jagnmohan palace -1 time, yoga naraasimha temple- 1 time, sanskrit college- 1 time.  Many people go through the exhibition.
Amrutha surabhi : 1500 k.g’s rice collected and distributed to different anadalayas.
Essay and elocution competition for college students: 58 students participated
Patriotic song competition: 109 students from 12 schools and 4 college participated.
Bharatiya samskriti pariksha: 630 students wrote the exam on incidents from the life of swami vivekananda.
Youth awareness examination :  more than 5000 college students from hassan, mysore, mandya and chamarajnagar district wrote the examination on swami vivekananda’s life and message to youths.
Youth camp: 8 youth awareness camps conducted. More than 1000 students participated.
Utsavas:
Guru poornima: 1 place- 27 people attended the programme. Sri veda mohanji spoke on that day. Special bhajan conducted that day. Programme was held at govt. Sanskrit college, mysore.
Raksha bhandan celbration:  2 places- nearly 600 rakhi tied, in 2 schools we spoke about the importance of raksha bhandan. Samskara varga children went to different houses and tied the raksha’s.
Sri krishna janmastami celbration:  fancy  dress competition, quiz on sri krishna’s life, bhagavadgita  shloka competition , breaking the dahi pot for samskara varga children and their parents also.  At the end pooja performed and distributed prasad.
Univesal Brotherhood day Patriotic Song CompitisionUnivesal brotherhood day celebration: sri col. Kumar swamyji spoke on that day. Sri mohan rao was chief guest. 350 people attended the programme.  Programme  was held at shivananda jnanalaya, laxmipuram.
Geeta jayanti :  geeta recitation competition organised for primary, high school students. More than 180 students participated from 23 schools.
Kalpataru diwas: on 1st january 2012, celbrated kalpataru diwas. Mass anna seva organised on that day. More than 300 people took prasad.
Swami vivekananda jayanthi:  from 25th december 2011 to 1st march,2012, we celbrated swami vivekananda jayanti and youth awareness programmes at 16 college from mysore, chamarajanagar, mandya districts. Sri c v gopinathji. Sri g r vishwanatji,  dr. A s chandrashekarji col. Kumarswamiji are the some of resourse persons in this programmes.
Sri ramakrishna jayanti: 18th feb, 2012 celebrated ramakrishna jayanthi. Special bhajan organised that day. Sweet distributed to devotees.
Medical checkup camp: 1 check up camp at hangod village, nearly 180 people benefitted.

GURUPURNIMA CELEBRATION REPORT - RAJKOT VIBHAG

As we all know, Gurupurnima is one of the celebration occassion in Vivekananda Kendra. This year, Kendra's Rajkot Nagar and Vibhag celebrated this pious occassion with Karyakartas, their family members, well wishers etc.

In Rajkot Nagar, day was celebrated with Bhajan Sandhya, Power point presentation on Omkar-Sadhana. After both, another power point presentation about Kendra Parichay was displayed and along with it, a brief details about upcoming "Swami Vivekananda's 150th Birth Anniversary" was given to the present persons. About 80 persons attended this programme. Invitees were disbursed after taking "Prasad" of Laddus.

Similarly, Gurupurnima Celebrated in Morbi branch, where the programme was conducted in 4 different colleges, where total 750+ studetns attended the programme. Programmes were comprised with Ma.Niveditadidi's letter, 150th Anniversary details and Sinhnaad project.

In Chotila town also a programme was celebrated wherein 700+ students were present. After completion of the programme, School management requested to Kendra Karyakartas to arrange such and other types of programme in their school regularly.

In Veraval branch, Kendra Karyakartas gathered for celebration of Gurupurnima and Bhajan Sandhya was enchanted by the karyakartas.Shri Vinubhai Trivedi, Gujarat Prant
Sanchalak inspired the Karyakartas with his lecture. Total presence 19.

Vankaner (Sampark Sthan) also celebrated Gurupurnima Programme with Bhajan Sandhya at Gayatri Temple campus. After it, a lecture based on Ma.Niveditadidi's letter was delivered by Shri Naishadbhai Patel (Vibhag Vyavastha Pramukh) and details of further programme was also given. Total 12 persons were present in the programme. After completion of the programme, Temple management requested us to held some programme for the school run by them in the same campus.
