International Day of Yoga organized at Vidyaranyapura

Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Karnataka Prant, Kempegowda-Vibhag, Hebbal Nagarsthan organized an International Day of Yoga programme at Kenai Technologies, Vidyaranyapura, Bengaluru, on 24th June 2026 from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., at the invitation of the organization. The programme witnessed the participation of 13 employees.

The session was conducted by the Karyakartas of Hebbal Nagarsthan, introducing the participants to the benefits of regular Yoga practice for physical, mental, and emotional well-being. The participants enthusiastically took part in the session and appreciated the importance of incorporating Yoga into their daily lives.

As a follow-up initiative, Samparka with the participants is planned to strengthen their association with Vivekananda Kendra and encourage their participation in future Kendra activities.

International Day of Yoga 2026 celebrations in Karnataka Prant

As part of the nationwide observance of International Day of Yoga 2026, all the branch centres of Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari celebrated the occasion with great enthusiasm. The celebrations reflected Vivekananda Kendra's commitment to promoting the true spirit of Yoga as a way of life based on the vision of Oneness.

In Karnataka Prant, International Day of Yoga programmes were organized at 65 locations, bringing together 5,893 participants from different sections of society. A total of 131 karyakarthas were involved in coordinating the events. The Vibhag-wise/Prakalpa-wise details are as follows:

  • Prakalpa (VKV Kallubalu And Anandalaya): 22 locations, 743 participants
  • Chamundeshwari Devi Vibhag (Mysore, Hanmanalu, Chamrajanagar Karyasthan, Mandya): 6 locations, 1288 participants
  • Kempegowda Vibhag: 37 locations, 3862 participants

A notable highlight of this year's celebrations was the first-ever Vivekananda Kendra presence in Bidar District through the International Day of Yoga programme. Another significant achievement was the extensive outreach of Anandalaya, which conducted programmes at 21 locations across Mysore District (18), Kallubalu (2), and R.T. Nagar (1), taking the message of Yoga to a large number of children and local communities.


The programmes were held at educational institutions, community centres, and public venues, making Yoga accessible to people of all age groups. Participants enthusiastically performed Yogasanas, Pranayama, and meditation in accordance with the Common Yoga Protocol issued by the Ministry of AYUSH. The celebrations not only encouraged the practice of Yoga but also inspired participants to embrace a healthy, disciplined, and harmonious way of life.

International Day of Yoga Celebration at Vidyanjali International School in Bengaluru

Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, through all its branch centres across Bharat, celebrated the International Day of Yoga 2025 with great enthusiasm, aiming to bring forth Yoga in its true essence—as a way of life based on the vision of Oneness. It is a part of the celebrations, Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Karnataka Prant, Hebbal Nagar Branch, in collaboration with Vidyanjali International School organized a program on the occasion of International Day of Yoga at Vidyanjali International School, Nagawara on 21st June 2025 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. A total of 350 students took part in the session, which was coordinated by 2 Kendra Karyakartas.

Shri A.P. Prasad Ji, Karnataka Prant Pramukh and Grand Master of Yoga, graced the program as the Chief Guest. He addressed the gathering, sharing his deep insights into the benefits of Yoga and the origins of the International Day of Yoga. Shri Prasad Ji then led a 45-minute Yoga session, conducted as per the Common Yoga Protocol prescribed by the Ministry of AYUSH.

The session concluded with prayer and chants of ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ and ‘Vande Mataram’, leaving the participants inspired and energized.

International Day of Yoga celebration at RJ Public School in Bengaluru

 Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, through all its branch centres across Bharat, celebrated the International Day of Yoga 2025 with great enthusiasm, aiming to bring forth Yoga in its true essence—as a way of life based on the vision of Oneness.

As a part of the celebrations, Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Karnataka Prant, RT Nagar Branch organized a Yoga session at RJ Public School, Vasanth Nagar, Bengaluru from 11 a.m. to 12 noon. A total of 229 participants, including 197 students, 27 faculty members, and 5 Karyakartas, took part in the celebration.

The session was conducted following the Common Yoga Protocol issued by the Ministry of AYUSH, incorporating āsanas, prāṇāyāma, and guided relaxation. The event aimed to promote awareness about holistic health and well-being through the practice of Yoga.

The school management expressed heartfelt gratitude for organizing the IDY programme and conveyed their interest in hosting more Vivekananda Kendra activities for the benefit of the students in the future.

International Day of Yoga celebrations in Karnataka Prant

International Day of Yoga is celebrated with enthusiasm by all the branch centers of Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari across Bharat. Through these celebrations, Vivekananda Kendra aims to bring Yoga to the general public in its true essence, i.e., Yoga as a way of life based on the vision of One Oneness.  This year, Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Karnataka Prant organized International Day of Yoga programs at 52 places in Karnataka, with a total participation of 6,029 people. The details of programs branch-wise/Karyasthan-wise/Prakalpa-wise are given below:

VKV Kallubalu: 11 places, 2032 participants

Hebbal: 9 places, 1698 participants

RT Nagar: 7 places, 966 participants

JP Nagar: 1 place, 142 participants

Jalahalli: 1 place, 14 participants

Anandalaya Prakalpa: 18 places, 240 participants

Mysore: 4 places, 471 participants

Hanumanalu: 1 place, 229 participants

Marathalli: 2 places, 271 participants

The programs were conducted in various institutions and public places, engaging people from all walks of life. All participants actively joined in, practicing Yogasanas and Pranayama as per the Common Yoga Protocol prescribed by the Ministry of AYUSH.

Orientation Programme for Youth karyakartas at RT Nagar

Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Karnataka Prant, RT Nagar Branch organized an orientation programme for youth karyakartas on 29th June 2025 at the Samhita School of Performing Arts. A total of 17 participants, including 13 students, attended the session. The programme began with a prayer, followed by the introduction of the guest speaker by Shri Bharat Anna.               Prof. K. C. Mishra, Kendra Karyakarta and former Vice Chancellor of Sushruti Institute of Management Studies, Bengaluru, served as the guest speaker. The session opened with self-introductions by the students, setting the stage for an inspiring talk by Prof. Mishra Ji. Drawing from his personal experiences, he motivated the students by discussing the true purpose of college education and its role in shaping one’s future. The session concluded with a gesture of appreciation as Kendra karyakartas felicitated Prof. K. C. Mishra Ji on the occasion of his janma divas and presented a token of gratitude.

International Day of Yoga Celebration at Seshadripuram PU College in Bengaluru

 Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, through all its branch centres across Bharat, celebrated the International Day of Yoga 2025 with great enthusiasm, aiming to bring forth Yoga in its true essence—as a way of life based on the vision of Oneness.

As a part of the celebrations, Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Karnataka Prant, RT Nagar Branch organized a Yoga session on the occasion of International Day of Yoga at Seshadripuram PU College, near Yelahanka Satellite Town in Bengaluru on 21st June 2025 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. A total of 114 participants attended, including 101 students, 8 college faculty members, and 5 Karyakartas.

The program commenced with a prayer and lighting of the lamp, followed by the inspiring song “Jaya Vivekananda.” The College Principal delivered a motivational speech, encouraging the students to continue practicing Yoga and expressing interest in associating with Vivekananda Kendra for future activities.

The Yoga session was conducted in accordance with the Common Yoga Protocol prescribed by the Ministry of AYUSH, helping participants experience the holistic benefits of Yoga in alignment with the theme ‘Yoga for One Earth, One Health’.                                  








International Day of Yoga Celebration at Karnataka Bank - Sanjay Nagar Branch

Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, through all its branch centres across Bharat, celebrated the International Day of Yoga 2025 with great enthusiasm, aiming to bring forth Yoga in its true essence—as a way of life based on the vision of Oneness.

As a part of the celebrations, Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Karnataka Prant, Hebbal Branch, organized an International Day of Yoga programme at Karnataka Bank, Sanjay Nagar Branch on 21st June 2025 from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. A total of 14 participants attended the session, supported by 2 Karyakartas.

The event was coordinated by Shri Pradeep Anna, an employee of Karnataka Bank and an active Karyakarta of Vivekananda Kendra. The Yoga session was led by Shri Prasad Ji, who guided participants through a sequence of practices as per the Common Yoga Protocol issued by the Ministry of AYUSH. He also explained the importance of Yoga and its relevance in daily life, especially in workplace settings.

The session was well-received, and the participants expressed appreciation for the initiative, which brought awareness and wellness into their professional environment, in line with the theme “Yoga for One Earth, One Health.”


International Day of Yoga Celebration at Kendra Karyalaya in Hebbal

 Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, through all its branch centres across Bharat, celebrated the International Day of Yoga 2025 with great enthusiasm, aiming to bring forth Yoga in its true essence—as a way of life based on the vision of Oneness.

As a part of the celebrations, Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Karnataka Prant, Hebbal Nagar Branch, organized an International Day of Yoga program at Vivekananda School of Yoga (Kendra Karyalaya) on 21st June 2025 from 4:30 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. The event was exclusively arranged for Samskaravarga children of the Hebbal branch. A total of 20 children participated, along with 4 Karyakartas.

Rahul Anna, a well-known Bharatanatyam dancer, Yoga teacher, and a Karyakarta of Vivekananda Kendra, addressed the children and spoke about the significance of International Day of Yoga. He also conducted the online quiz prepared by the VK IT Team, making the session interactive and educational.

The program created a joyful and thoughtful atmosphere, reinforcing Yoga as a joyful discipline in young minds and connecting them with the broader celebration of “Yoga for One Earth, One Health.”

Temple Cleaning Seva Activity at Hebbal

Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Karnataka Prant, Hebbal branch conducted a temple cleaning seva activity (Shramdaan) on 28th June 2025 at Ram Mandir, Coffee Board Layout, Kempapura. The activity was held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and saw the participation of 30 devotees, including 15 Kendra karyakartas. The cleaning effort covered both the interior and exterior premises of the temple, including the murthis. Following the cleaning, the karyakartas conducted a bhajan session and concluded the programme with Kendra Prarthana. 

The temple authorities appreciated the initiative, acknowledging the spirit of service and dedication demonstrated by the participants.

International Day of Yoga Celebration at Samhita School of Performing Arts – Karnataka Prant

Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, through all its branch centres across Bharat, celebrated the International Day of Yoga 2025 with great enthusiasm, aiming to bring forth Yoga in its true essence—as a way of life based on the vision of Oneness.

Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Karnataka Prant, RT Nagar Branch organized a program on the occasion of International Day of Yoga at Samskara Varga conducted in Samhita School of Performing Arts on 22nd June 2025. A total of 30 participants (29 vidyarthis and 1 shikshak) attended the session.

The celebration began with a prayer, followed by the chanting of subhāṣita and a karmayoga śloka that was taught to the participants. A bhajan, “Gajavadhana Gananātha,” was sung with devotion, after which various games were conducted to energize and engage the children.

Participants practiced āsanas, kriyās, and prāṇāyāma as per the Common Yoga Protocol. The session was vibrant with enthusiasm, and the environment was filled with positivity. Children expressed happiness and interest in continuing Yoga as part of their daily routine.

The session concluded with meditation, Śānti Mantra, and Kendra Prārthanā, followed by the distribution of prasāda.



International Day of Yoga Celebration at Narendra Anandalaya in Jayanagar

Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, through all its branch centres across Bharat, celebrated the International Day of Yoga 2025 with great enthusiasm, aiming to bring forth Yoga in its true essence—as a way of life based on the vision of Oneness.

As a part of the celebrations, Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Karnataka Prant, Mysore Branch, organized a Yoga session at Narendra Anandalaya, Jayanagar on 21st June 2025. Narendra Anandalaya is one of the Anandalayas run by Vivekananda Kendra Mysore. The session witnessed the participation of 10 students.

The Yoga session was conducted by Shri Nishant, a Nivasi Karyakarta of the Kendra, and followed the Common Yoga Protocol laid out by the Ministry of AYUSH. Participants engaged in āsanas and prāṇāyāma practices, aligning with the year's theme—"Yoga for One Earth, One Health."

Though small in number, the session was conducted with sincerity and commitment, promoting Yoga as a way of life.


International Day of Yoga Celebration at Government School in Manorayana Palya

Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, through all its branch centres across Bharat, celebrated the International Day of Yoga 2025 with great enthusiasm, aiming to bring forth Yoga in its true essence—as a way of life based on the vision of Oneness.

As a part of the celebrations, Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Karnataka Prant, RT Nagar Branch organized a Yoga session on the occasion of International Day of Yoga at Government School, Mannorayana Palya on 21st June 2025, from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. The event witnessed the participation of 127 students, guided by 9 Karyakartas, bringing the total upasthiti to 136 participants.

The celebration began with a prayer and a brief Kendra parichay. The session followed the Common Yoga Protocol issued by the Ministry of AYUSH, and all students participated with great enthusiasm in practicing āsanas and prāṇāyāma.

Prof. K.C. Mishra ji presented a memento to the school principal as a token of appreciation. The session focused on the importance of maintaining physical and mental balance, and students were encouraged to adopt Yoga as a regular part of daily life, in alignment with the year’s theme—“Yoga for One Earth, One Health.”

Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, through all its branch centres across Bharat, celebrated the International Day of Yoga 2025 with great enthusiasm, aiming to bring forth Yoga in its true essence—as a way of life based on the vision of Oneness.

s a part of the celebrations, Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Karnataka Prant, Hebbal Nagar Branch organized a Yoga session on the occasion of International Day of Yoga at Sri Vinayaka Sunrise English Medium School, Hebbal Kempapura on 21st June 2025, from 9:15 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. A total of 242 students participated in the session, supported by the involvement of 3 Karyakartas.

The session began with an introduction by the Karyakartas, who explained the importance of Yoga, its physical and mental benefits, and the significance of International Day of Yoga. The program was conducted following the Common Yoga Protocol issued by the Ministry of AYUSH, including a sequence of prārthanā, warm-up exercises (shīthilikaraṇa vyāyāma), Yogāsanas, prāṇāyāma, and meditation.

The students participated with enthusiasm, and the session helped instill awareness about Yoga as a way of life. The program concluded with a prayer and received appreciation from the school management, marking a successful and impactful celebration.

International Day of Yoga celebration at Mamatha School in Bengaluru

Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, through all its branch centres across Bharat, celebrated the International Day of Yoga 2025 with great enthusiasm, aiming to bring forth Yoga in its true essence—as a way of life based on the vision of Oneness.  As a part of the celebrations, Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Karnataka Prant, RT Nagar Branch organized a Yoga session on the occasion of International Day of Yoga at Mamatha School, RT Nagar, Bengaluru – 32 on 21st June 2025 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The program saw the enthusiastic participation of 342 students, 7 faculty members, and 4 Karyakartas, totalling 353 participants.

The Yoga session was conducted in three batches for Primary, Mid-Primary, and High School students. The sessions followed the Common Yoga Protocol prescribed by the Ministry of AYUSH. Students participated energetically, performing āsanas, prāṇāyāma, and relaxation practices with great involvement.

The program concluded with a vote of thanks and the chanting of the Shānti Mantra, leaving a positive and joyful atmosphere.


International Day of Yoga Celebration at Sharada Shikshana Samste in Hanumanalu

Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, through all its branch centres across Bharat, celebrated the International Day of Yoga 2025 with great enthusiasm, aiming to bring forth Yoga in its true essence—as a way of life based on the vision of Oneness.  As a part of the celebrations, Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Karnataka Prant, Mysore Branch, Hanumanalu Karyasthan organized an International Day of Yoga programme at Sharada Shikshana Samste, Hanumanalu in Mysore on 21st June 2025. The session was conducted in line with the theme “Yoga for One Earth, One Health.”

A total of 229 participants including 203 students, 20 teachers, and 6 Karyakartas enthusiastically took part in the session. The Common Yoga Protocol prescribed by the Ministry of AYUSH was followed, incorporating āsanas, prāṇāyāma, and meditation to promote holistic well-being.

As a follow-up to the International Day of Yoga celebration, a Swadhyaya competition on the occasion of Guru Purnima was planned to nurture further cultural engagement among the students.

Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, through all its branch centres across Bharat, celebrated the International Day of Yoga 2025 with great enthusiasm, aiming to bring forth Yoga in its true essence—as a way of life based on the vision of Oneness.

As a part of the celebrations, Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Karnataka Prant, Mysore Branch organized a Yoga session on the occasion of International Day of Yoga at The BEST School campus, Kuderu, Chamarajanagar on 21st June 2025. The event was held under the theme “Yoga for One Earth, One Health.” The session saw active participation from 258 students, 15 teachers, and 4 Karyakartas, making a total of 277 participants.

The program introduced students to the significance of Yoga as a lifestyle practice for physical, mental, and emotional well-being. Participants followed the Common Yoga Protocol of the Ministry of AYUSH, performing āsanas, prāṇāyāma, and meditation with enthusiasm.

As a follow-up to the event and to further deepen engagement, a Swadhyaya Competition is planned for the future.

Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, through all its branch centres across Bharat, celebrated the International Day of Yoga 2025 with great enthusiasm, aiming to bring forth Yoga in its true essence—as a way of life based on the vision of Oneness. As a part of the celebrations, Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Karnataka Prant, RT Nagar Branch organized a Yoga session on the occasion of International Day of Yoga at Ashraya Vidya Kendra, RT Nagar, Bengaluru on 21st June 2025 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. The session witnessed the participation of 80 students and 8 Karyakartas, totaling 88 participants.

The session followed the Common Yoga Protocol prescribed by the Ministry of AYUSH and focused on cultivating physical and mental balance. Participants were encouraged to embrace Yoga as a daily discipline and a path toward a healthy lifestyle, resonating with this year’s theme—“Yoga for One Earth, One Health.”

International Day of Yoga celebration at RJS Group of Institutions in Bengaluru

Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, through all its branch centres across Bharat, celebrated the International Day of Yoga 2025 with great enthusiasm, aiming to bring forth Yoga in its true essence—as a way of life based on the vision of Oneness.  As a part of the celebrations, Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Karnataka Prant, Marathahalli Karyasthan organized a Yoga session on the occasion of International Day of Yoga at RJS Group of Institutions, Bengaluru on 21st June 2025 from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. A total of 250 students from RJS PU College and RJS School, along with 5 Karyakartas, participated in the session.

The event was presided over by the Principals of RJS PU College, School, and Degree College, along with Shri Vasudev Ji, Managing Committee Chairman of the institution. The celebration highlighted the theme “Yoga for One Earth, One Health” and emphasized how Yoga contributes to physical and mental well-being.

The session was conducted by the students of VKV Kallubalu, following the Common Yoga Protocol prescribed by the Ministry of AYUSH. Ms. Mitra Didi provided the Kendra Parichaya, helping participants understand the vision and activities of Vivekananda Kendra.

The program was well received and appreciated by the institution, leaving a meaningful impact on all participants.

Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, through all its branch centres across Bharat, celebrated the International Day of Yoga 2025 with great enthusiasm, aiming to bring forth Yoga in its true essence—as a way of life based on the vision of Oneness.  As a part of the celebrations, Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Karnataka Prant, Mysore Branch, Mandya Karyasthan organized a Yoga session at Gurujnana Vidyalaya, Hosalli, Mandya on 21st June 2025, under the theme “Yoga for One Earth, One Health.”

The event saw active participation from 98 students, 8 teachers, and 2 Karyakartas, making a total of 108 participants. The session followed the Common Yoga Protocol issued by the Ministry of AYUSH, comprising āsanas, prāṇāyāma, and meditation, encouraging holistic well-being and discipline.

As a continuation of this programme, a Swadhyaya competition is planned as a follow-up activity to promote deeper understanding about Bharatiya Samskriti among students.
