PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT CAMPS AT ITANAGAR, ARUNACHAL PRADESH

Vivekananda Kendra ArunJyoti, Itanagar Branch conducted ten days Moral value enhancement training camp specially designed for the students of Class IV to X on 11 to 20 April 2014 for the students of Capital Complex respectively in Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Chimpu, Police Colony Vivek Vihar, VKV Nirjuli & NERIST. The age old indigenous practice of valued Sanskar, which gives an individual, good moral character & ethics to lead a successful life & develop leadership personality of an Ideal human being .Keeping those view a non residential “Personality Development Camp”. Around 150 students comprising standard of class IV to X participated on 3pm to 6pm everyday scheduled camp duration lead by Vivekananda Kendra Arun Jyoti Itanagar Karyakarta Gai Bam, Anil Shrikandne, Kumari Yago Digio, Arjun Dodum including 13 Karyakarta conducted this camp.

Through this Non Residential Personality Development Camp, selected Students will participate join the residential Personality Development Camp 21 to 25 April at Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Itanagar. Participants are motivate & inspired To lead on future with a positive direction and to inculcate patriotism, cultural value, self discipline and the attitude of Social Service, with the twin ideal of Vivekananda Kendra “Man Making - Nation Building” through the various sessions on yoga, patriotic songs, concentration & memory development games, storytelling like of  patriotic personality.

Sanskara Varga Prashikshan Shibir in Arunachal Pradesh

Satra- Eknath JiVivekananda Kendra Arun Jyoti has organized FIVE  Days Moral value enhancement training camp   specially designed for the students of Class VIII to XII  on 16th to 20th  April for the students of six district  at VKV Chimpu, Itanagar. The age old indigenous practice of valued Sanskar, which gives an individual, good moral character & ethics to lead a successful life & develop leadership quality of an Ideal human being. Keeping this view a residential “Sanskar Varga Prashikshan Shibir” was conducted from 16th to 20th April.
Shri Ashok Atale, Nagar Sangathak of Vivekananda Kendra, Itanagar spoke on “HAM BHI BANE VIVEKANANDA“ and “SANSKAR VARGA KEUIN” for confidence building, memory development, concentration with intelligently with the help of Yoga and Pranayama by practicing it as a daily way of life. Shri Thakur Das, Shibir Addhikari took the session on “MAN MAKING AND NATION BUILDING ”.


Resource person from various walks of life spoke on various topic. Shri Lenzing Tagi, Pharmacist of District jail, Itanagar spoke on “Mananeeya Eknathji" “ the founder of Vivekananda Kendra" Shri Phuntso Gombu, Guest Lecturer of NERIST, described the ”VIVEKANANDA KENDRA MOVEMENT”. Shri Gyati Ranaji, Information publicity Secretary of IFCSAP and a writer  has taken a session on “HAMARI SANSKRITI”. Shri Pai Dawe,Yuva Manch Pramukh, Vivekananda Kendra Arunachal Pradesh, also trained the participants in the method of “TEAM BUILDING” which is very essential for a leader with a positive  attitude to serve the people without any personal desire.
 
Khel – Bhoot galiShri Kalyan Dutta, Nagar Pramukh of Vivekananda Kendra, Itanagar explained the Concept of “NIYAMITATA KA MAHATWA AUR ANUSASHAN" which means importance of rules and regulation in daily life for a successful life.

Shri Rupesh Mathur, Pranta Sangathak of Vivekananda Kendra, Arunachal Pradesh blessed the participant in the Ahuti Satra and gave direction to the youth to lead a positive, constructive and meaningful life with the thought “THEY ALONE LIVE WHO LIVES FOR OTHER, REST ARE MORE DEAD THAN ALIVE" and urged the camp participants to at least practice one or two activities taught in the five  day camp to improve oneself for the development of the Nation.

Swasthya Seva Manch (Health Service Forum) of Vivekananda Kendra Arun Jyoti recently conducted a few medical camps in Laju circle of Tirap district. Camps were conducted at Thinsa, Barap, Laju village and Pongkong where 325 patients were treated for various ailments and medicines were distributed. 12 pregnant women were examined during the camps and Iron Folic Acid capsules were given to them and advised them for regular ANC. 6 patients were advised for Sputum test (AFB). The Medical team organized meetings with the youths and asked them to take precautions for any sort of out-breaks during the rainy season.

Vivekananda Kendra Arun Jyoti recently organized six Medical Camps in some villages of Upper Subansiri district. The mobile medical team with two Doctors and paramedical staffs conducted camps at Sippi, Menga, Lilydong, Maro, Kodak and Bararupuk villages. A total 350 patients were examined for various ailments and medicines were distributed accordingly. Discussions with villagers regarding various water-borne diseases and Malaria etc.was an integral part of the campaign. The team introduced various schemes of health departments to the villagers and urged them to avail those. Rotary International of Dibrugarh, Assam supported Kendra’s medical activities in Upper Subansiri district by providing medicines and financing a vehicle. For this month’s camp Dr.Reddy’s Pharmaceutical, Guwahati, Assam provided some basic medicines.

Free Operation Camp, Pasighat, Arunachal Pradesh

The Free Operation Camp organized by Vivekananda Kendra Arun Jyoti in collaboration with Remote Area Medical Corp., U.S.A. and District Administration, East Siang concluded successfully on 12th Feb’11 at Pasighat General Hospital, Pasighat. Within these six days the team successfully operated 50 patients. 22 cholecysectomies, 8 appendectomies, 9 hernia repairs, 6 lumps&cysts, 4 hysterectomies and 1 D&C were done in the camp.



62 patients were done there Video Endoscopies free of cost. Out of them 57 were Gastroscopies, 4 were Colonoscopies and 1 was Sigmoidoscopy. One NRI medicine specialist did general check-up and 132 patients availed the facility. The Gynecologist from abroad also checked-up 43 female patients.

Patients from East Siang, West Siang, Upper Siang, Lower Dibang Valley, Upper Subansiri, Anjaw and Tirap attended the camp and got the benefit. Even people from remote areas like Tuting, Menchukha and Taliha registered their names and were operated.

All the staff and Doctors of General Hospital Pasighat were very supportive throughout the camp and were totally involved. The NRI team were very happy and inspired and wish to visit this place again for this kind of humanitarian service.
