67th Independence day was celebrated at Anandandham, Kodugallur with unfurling of the National flag by Mananiya Laxmididi. Sandipani Sushuvihar Children, their parents, Samskar Varg Children and their inmates of Anandadham were present. Concluded with National anthem.
15th of August was also the end of the Karkatakam or Ramayana month. A colorful demostartion by the Sishuvihar children and the samskar varga dressed up as different characters in the Ramayana was one of the interesting items for celebrating the Samapanam of month. Recital of some of the portions of Adhyatma Ramayana by children and elders followed by a quiz for children were the other items of the programme. Uniqueness of the programmes, starting from the writer of Ramayana Sri Tunchathu Ezhuthachan to Pattabhisheka of Lord Rama was enacted by the chlidren.
About 30 houses were visited by Kum. Bindu and her companions during the entire Karkatakam month. Almost all those family members were present during the celebration on 15th August.
