Uthishtata Jagrata Yuva Mahashibir 2025 at Odisha

The Uthishtata Jagrata Yuva Mahāshibir 2025, organized by Vivekananda Kendra, Kanyakumari – Odisha Prant, was held from 28th September to 1st October 2025. A total of 508 participants, including 393 participants, 110 karyakartas, and 5 adhikaris, took part in the three-day camp. The event served as a landmark initiative to empower the youth of Odisha with inner strength, cultural rootedness, leadership skills, and a spirit of service. With the theme “Sambhav Kare Asambhav Ko Bhi,” the Shibir offered a holistic experience of discipline, cultural learning, teamwork, and national pride to all attendees.

Preparations and Reporting

Preparations for the Shibir began three months in advance, ensuring its successful conduct from 28th September to 1st October 2025.
Karyakartas reported on 27th September (11 a.m. to 1 p.m.), with 80 arriving before the scheduled time. Participants reported the next day between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. The hostel and campus areas were thoroughly cleaned and readied by all karyakartas, before participant arrival.

Shibir Highlights

Inaugural Session – 28th September 2025

The Shibir was inaugurated at 3:00 p.m. with Deep Prajwalan, three Omkars, and Shanti Path. The session began with a welcome address by Mananeeya Shri Sacchidananda Panda ji, Odisha Prant Sah Sanchalak, VRM&VK followed by Shibir Parichaya by Adaraneeya Shri Prakash Acharya ji, Shibir Adhikari. Patriotic songs and Vivek Vani were presented by Sushree Pragyasmita Didi and Kumari Priyanka Didi.

Chief Speaker: Mananeeya Shri Hanumantha Rao ji, Vice-President, Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, inspired participants to make life purposeful and dedicate their youth to national reconstruction.
Chief Guest: Captain Yogendra Singh Yadav ji, youngest Param Vir Chakra awardee, motivated youth through his heroic life experiences of courage and patriotism.
The session concluded with Shanti Mantra led by Smt. Lopamudra Didi.

 Daily Camp Routine

Participants began each day at 4:45 a.m. with Pratah SmaranYogabhyasGita Pathan, and Prarthana. Post breakfast, they engaged in Shrama Sanskar by cleaning the camp area.

The forenoon sessions included lectures and group discussions on various national and personal development themes. Post-lunch, group presentations were followed by Prerak Sambads (interactive talks with achievers). Evenings comprised Agnyabhyas (drill), Sanskar Varg (team games, stories, and patriotic songs), Bhajan Sandhya, and inspirational video sessions.

 Thematic Lecture Sessions

  • 29th Sept: “Sambhav Kare Asambhav Ko Bhi” – Mananeeya Shri Hanumantha Rao ji emphasized that true love for the Nation must express itself through acts of Seva, calling youth to dedicate time for national welfare.
  • 30th Sept: “Challenges in Front of the Nation” – Shri Laxminarayan Panigrahi ji, Secretary, VKAICYAM, discussed the deeper challenges of Westernization and loss of cultural confidence, urging youth to build Atmanirbhar Bharat rooted in Dharma.
  • 1st Oct: “My Role – My Responsibility” – Shri Ravi Naidu ji, Prant Sangathak, Odisha & Telugu Prants, inspired youth to study Swami Vivekananda and apply his message through daily Yoga and collective service initiatives.

 

Prerak Sambads (Inspirational Interactions)

  1. Captain Yogendra Singh Yadav, Param Vir Chakra awardee, shared his journey of bravery and service, stressing discipline and purpose.
  2. Sri Anil Pradhan, CEO, Young Tinker Foundation and National Youth Awardee, narrated his journey of innovation, urging youth to adopt discipline over motivation and to persist in creative problem-solving.

 Group Discussions (Manthan)

  1. How to Live a Purposeful Life – Youth reflected on the idea of meaningful living and shared insights group-wise.
  2. Challenges Before the Nation and Our Role – A panel discussion with six speakers encouraged critical thinking and participative dialogue.

Special Interactive Session

On 30th September, Dr. Santosh Mohanty, Director, VKAICYAM, conducted a session on “Social Media, IT and Me.” He discussed digital responsibility, the psychological effects of social media, and shared a concise note on cyber safety practices.

Video Presentations

Participants viewed short films on the sacrifices of freedom fighters, the work of Swami Vivekananda and Eknathji, and India’s civilizational progress through the ages.

Impact of the Camp

The camp was a transformative experience integrating physical, intellectual, and spiritual growth.

  • Samuhik Suryanamaskar: 500 participants performed 60 rounds each – totaling 30,000 Suryanamaskars.
  • Participants gained discipline, teamwork, and leadership through collective activities.
  • 182 youth volunteered for the Chalo Gaon Ki Oar rural outreach in December.
  • Enhanced cultural confidence and national pride among youth.
  • Young karyakartas developed leadership and organizational skills through camp management.

Conclusion

The Uthishtata Jagrata Yuva Mahāshibir – 2025 concluded successfully, creating a vibrant environment of learning, service, and national awakening. Every participant departed with a renewed spirit of dedication, clarity of thought, and determination to serve society and the nation.

Future Directions:

  • Practice daily Suryanamaskar for physical and spiritual strengthening.
  • Strengthen Chalo Gaon Ki Oar outreach with 182+ volunteers.
  • Continue integrating culture, values, and leadership in youth development.
  • Mobilize youth for Viksit Bharat 2047 with self-reliance and Indian identity.

The Uthishtata Jagrata Yuva Mahāshibir – 2025 was not merely an event but a movement — a movement of young minds awakening to their higher purpose. As Swami Vivekananda envisioned, when youth arise with faith in themselves and dedication to the nation, no power on earth can stop Bharat from achieving greatness.

Free Eye Screening Camp Organized at RS Mangalam in Ramanathapuram

Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Tamil Nadu Prant, Rural Development Programme (VKRDP), Ramanathapuram Branch organized a Free Eye Screening Camp at Sri Arasalavantha Amman Temple Mandapam, RS Mangalam, Ramanathapuram, on Sunday, September 28, 2025. The camp was conducted in association with Aravind Eye Hospital, Madurai, to provide much-needed eye care services to the local community.

The programme began with words of welcome and instructions from Kum. Nagajyothi Akka, Senior Social Worker who also highlighted the various service activities carried out by Vivekananda Kendra, encouraging participants to take part in such welfare initiatives.

A medical team comprising a doctor and eight supportive nurses from Aravind Eye Hospital, Madurai, carried out examinations. The eye check-ups included screening for common eye ailments, cataract, and other vision issues.

The camp drew enthusiastic participation from 118 people in and around RS Mangalam. Out of these, 32 participants were identified with conditions requiring further medical attention and were referred to Aravind Eye Hospital, Madurai, for advanced treatment. While Others received preliminary care and advice for maintaining eye health.

With active support from Kendra volunteers and medical professionals, the camp provided necessary eye care services to the needy.

Universal Brotherhood Day Celebration in Kanyakumari by VK Nardep

Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Tamil Nadu Prant, Natural Resources Development Project (VK-Nardep), marked Universal Brotherhood Day from 11th to 27th September 2025, reaching 469 participants through celebration programmes at 15 places in Kanyakumari district. The initiatives highlighted Swami Vivekananda’s historic message of harmony and oneness, as delivered at the 1893 Chicago Parliament of Religions.

On 13th September, a special celebration was held at Manavalakalai Mandram Arakattalai, Kottaram, with the enthusiastic participation of 100 women. Shri. Vasudeo ji, Prakalpa Sanghatak, VK-Nardep and Shri. Ramakrishnan Anna, Prakalpa Pramukh, VK-Nardep joined the event. The programme emphasized unity among women, strengthening the spirit of social service and mutual support in daily life.

The Training Center at Kalluvilai, Varma Resource & Research Center hosted Universal Brotherhood Day for Varma course students.

  • On 12th September, the observance involved the second-year class, with 27 participants. Dr. Kumaresan and Dr. Muthu Santhi presided, and Shri. Vijayaraghavan Anna, Vyavastha Pramukh, VK-Nardep delivered an inspiring talk on universal brotherhood.
  • On 26th September, the first-year class commemorated the day, attended by 25 students and special guest Vai. Ashok Kumar. Shri. Vijayaraghavan Anna again emphasized the importance of unity and the ideals espoused by Swami Vivekananda.

From 11th to 27th September, Universal Brotherhood Day was spread to 12 villages, engaging 317 women from self-help groups. Events included interactive discussions, reflections on Swamiji’s message, and cultural activities. Key speakers included Shri. Ramakrishnan Anna and Shri. Vijayaraghavan Anna, representing Vivekananda Kendra at each location.
Notable guests such as Shri. Sankaranarayanan, retired BSNL JE, Shri. Murugan, Kishan Shang, and Smt. Kesini, retired Tahasildar of Agastheeswaram Taluk also enriched the programmes with their presence and words.


Across all venues, the celebrations were marked by active participation, meaningful presentations, and a spirit of harmony. VK-Nardep’s arrangement fostered a sense of unity among diverse groups, empowering women, students, and volunteers to carry forward Swami Vivekananda’s vision of universal brotherhood and selfless service.

लखनऊ विश्वविद्यालय में युवाओं ने लिया स्वामी विवेकानंद के विचारों से प्रेरणा

मुख्य वक्ता श्री बड़ी काली जी मठ के महंत स्वामी विवेकानन्द गिरी जी ने युवा प्रतिभागियों को धर्मएकता और मानवता के संदेश से अवगत कराया। उन्होंने बताया कि भारत की संस्कृति ‘Universal Acceptance’ पर आधारित है और समस्त मानवता को एक परिवार मानती है। वहीं प्रोफेसर विनोद सोलंकी ने युवाओं को सहयोगसहानुभूति और नेतृत्व कौशल के महत्व पर मार्गदर्शन दिया।

कार्यक्रम में प्राण संस्था द्वारा नशा मुक्ति से विश्व बंधुत्व विषय पर नुक्कड़ नाटक प्रस्तुत किया गया। शिकागो भाषण प्रतियोगिता में प्रथमद्वितीय और तृतीय विजेताओं को पुरस्कार प्रदान किए गए। प्रथम विजेता ने अपनी भाषण प्रस्तुति से सभी का ध्यान आकर्षित किया।

कार्यक्रम के शुभारंभ के दौरान विवेकानन्द केन्द्र के कार्यकर्ताओं एवं विश्वविद्यालय के प्राध्यापकों ने मातृभूमि की पुकार अभियान का विधिवत आरंभ किया।

इस कार्यक्रम में 500 से अधिक पंजीकृत युवा और 520 प्रतिभागी उपस्थित रहे। युवा टोली और अन्य गतिविधियों के माध्यम से उन्हें नेतृत्वटीम बिल्डिंग और व्यक्तित्व विकास के लिए प्रेरित किया गया।

Navaratri Bhajan Sandhya by Vivekananda Kendra RT Nagar Branch

Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Karnataka Prant, RT Nagar Nagarsthan organized a Navaratri Special Bhajan Sandhya on 25th September 2025 at Sri Adi Shakthi Chowdeshwari Devi Temple. The event was conducted on the occasion of Navaratri, where the temple authorities had invited the Kendra to perform bhajans.

A total of 130 devotees participated in the puja and bhajan sandhya to seek the blessings of the Divine Mother. Fifteen Karyakartas and Samskara Varga children from Vivekananda Kendra RT Nagar actively took part in leading the bhajans and devotional singing, creating a spiritually uplifting atmosphere.

Universal Brotherhood Day Celebration at Kunnumpuram in Kerala

Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Kerala Prant, Thiruvananthapuram Branch, organized the Universal Brotherhood Day Programme at Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Kunnumpuram on 23rd September 2025 from 11am to 12:30 pm. The programme was attended by 80 participants, including 73 students, 4 staff members, and 3 Karyakartas.

The programme commenced with a prayer and lighting of the lamp, followed by the welcome and introduction of the Chief Guest and Kendra Karyakartas. Students presented quotations of Swami Vivekananda, after which a patriotic song was rendered. Shri Aji Kumar ji, the Chief Guest, addressed the gathering, highlighting Swami Vivekananda’s deep love for the cultural heritage of Bharat. Through vivid examples, he emphasized the inherent divinity in all beings and the role of self-effort in making our lives and the nation great. He explained that true acceptance of the whole world as one’s own is vital for humanity and urged the students to study the life and message of Swami Vivekananda.

A book containing Swamiji’s thoughts was gifted to all the students. The programme concluded with the chanting of the Shanti Mantra.
