A unique highlight of the day was the role-play activity in which students enacted the roles of Correspondent, Principal, Vice Principal, PT Teacher, and subject teachers. For half a day, they managed the school with discipline and dedication, gaining first-hand experience of teaching responsibilities. Kum. R. Rashmitha of class XI A acted as Correspondent, Kum. T. N. Rithu of class XI A as Principal, and Kum. P. M. Archana and M. Sri Dharshini as Vice Principals, who also delivered speeches on the significance of the day. Some student-teachers shared their enriching experiences, and the best performers were recognized with awards.
The formal program began with three Omkars and the chanting of Sahanavavatu by Smt. P. Jeya, followed by a welcome address. In his presidential address, the Chief Guest appreciated the role of VKV in imparting quality education rooted in values. He expressed happiness in interacting with the teachers and proudly noted that VKV students are held in high regard, even at Amity University. Sharing his own life journey, he narrated how the encouragement of his Botany professor inspired him to excel academically, eventually becoming a university rank holder and later pursuing M.Ed. and M.Phil. He emphasized the transformative role of teachers in shaping lives.
The Chief Guest was honoured by Vice Principal Sri S. Sanjeevi Rajan, and all teachers received blessings and appreciation. The program concluded with the chanting of the Shanti Mantra. The Teacher’s Day celebration was a memorable and inspiring event, leaving a deep impression on both students and teachers.
