“Ramayan Darshan” – a pictorial Exhibition on the Ramayan, our National Epic, is coming up at Vivekanandapuram, Kanyakumari – the town where Swami Vivekananda meditated. The Exhibition through its 108 panels will depict important episodes from Ramayana and will have a 27 feet tall statue of Hanuman in front.
Param Pujaniya Sarsanghachalak Mohanji Bhagavat unveiled the model of the Exhibition Building on 12th February 2012 at Vivekanandapuram. Vice President of Vivekananda Kendra Balakrishnanji and many officials from Sangha and Vivekananda Kendra were present at the event.
The proposed holy Exhibition project is estimated to cost Rs. Five crores and will be housed in a two storied building designed according to our traditional culture. Each of the 108 Panels will be in ornamented teak wood frame in Mural or oil painting and can be sponsored by donating Rs. Five lakhs.The 27 feet tall Hanuman statue, the cynosure of the exhibition, will be in black granite and will cost Rs. 50 lakhs. Vivekananda Kendra appeals to all philanthropists, government agencies, corporate houses and individual donors to contribute liberally to participate in this National Endeavour.
