vkv matripujaIt gives us an immense happiness to share that we could conduct the Matri Puja in all the 19 secondary schools. The ambience of the Puja in all the schools was excellent. It is wonderful sight that the parents, teachers and students expressing their commitment to uphold, nurture and transmit the eternal values our culture especially Matru Devo Bhava, Pitru Devo Bhava, Acharya Devo Bhava, Atithi Devo Bhava and Rashtra Devo Bhava. Many parents and students were in tears during the time of Matri Puja. Parents and students were spontaneous in expressing their feelings about the Puja.

A noted doctor Dr.B.Rana who is a parent of VKV- Sher appraised the gathering about the role of his mother in his life and appreciated the efforts of school to give both value based and modern knowledge to students. He has donated a sum of 25,000/- to school for the developmental activities.

Matrusammelan:

Snehavardhini, the forum of the spouses of teaching and non-teaching staff members of VKV- Oyan campus, organized a Matrusammelan on 03.03.2012 in VKV- Oyan. They have visited more than 100 houses to invite the people for the Sammelan out which 82 could attend.

The role of women in family and society, the need of strengthening the family which is smallest unit of the nation, few examples to highlight the role and the sacrifices of mothers etc. were the points stressed in the Sammelan. Meticulous planning and practicing was done by the team to make it a success.  This team is taking active participation in all the activities of the school and they also take Samskar Varga for hostellers of Primary classes once in a week.

 A timely help:

The staff of VKV- Kuporijo rushed in the midnight to join the villagers for fire –fighting in Kuporijo village. Not only that, the students and staff donated a sum of 5000/- to the fire victim within 24 hours which has brought a sense of relief to the victim. The Karyakartas of Vivekananda Kendra always stand in front to help the needy from distress. The timely act of VKV- Kuporijo is such one, a model to follow.

Arunachal Day:
The 26th Arunachal state hood day was celebrated with pomp and show at all the VKVs in Arunachal Pradesh.  VKV Band teams were the main attraction at the programmes organized at various District and SDO H/Qs.
Like a commander, decide the mission to be fulfilled and then plan the strategy, taking into consideration the power, the potentialities and the limitations.  Think of the best manner in which the goal is to be achieved.
