Vivekananda Kendra, Kamrup Vibhag, observed Gita Jayanti on 01st December 2025 at 7:00 a.m. at the Assam Prant Headquarters, Panbazar, Guwahati. The celebration featured the complete chanting of the Bhagavad Geeta slokas from Chapters 1 to 18, which took approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes. The programme was attended by Adaraneeya Arup Bora ji, Kamrup Vibhag Pramukh; Ad. Alaka Gauri Didi, Jeevan Brati and Sangathak, Assam Prant; and Ad. Smita Didi, Jeevan Brati and Sahitya Sewa Pramukh, Kamrup Vibhag, along with 12 Karyakartas and devotees. In total, 15 people participated in the programme.
Gita Jayanti was also celebrated at Bharat Sewa Ashram, Kalapahar, organized by VK Lalganesh Nagar. The programme included systematic chanting from the Gita for Daily Life book with a participation of 25 people. Ad. Kalyan Dutta ji, IT-Pramukh, Kamrup Vibhag, conducted an interactive session highlighting the importance of the Gita for Amrit Pariwar and offered guidance to youth on self-management, spirituality, righteous duty, and overcoming life’s challenges through practical study of the Bhagavad Gita. A special address was delivered by Ad. Rita Das Didi, Nagar Pramukh, who read out the Gita Jayanti letter by Mananeeya Nivedita Didi.
Both programmes concluded with a collective Sankalpa to practice Gita shloka chanting in every family henceforth. The celebrations reflected devotion, discipline, and a shared resolve to integrate the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita into daily life. The programme concluded with the Kendra Prarthana, followed by light refreshments.
