Bhajan Sandhya occasion of the Punya Tithi of Mananeeya Tarun Chandra Goswami Ji orgnized at Kamrup

Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Assam Prant, Kamrup Vibhag, organized a soul-stirring Bhajan Sandhya occasion of the Punya Tithi of Mananeeya Tarun Chandra Goswami Ji on September 6, 2026, at 5:00 PM at the Yoga Hall, VKIC Uzanbazar. A total of 47 attendees joined the program to offer their prayers, reverence, and gratitude to the noble soul. 

The program was held on the solemn occasion of the Punya Tithi of Mananeeya Tarun Chandra Goswami Ji, honoring his enduring memory and deep devotion as the revered land donor for the construction of the VKIC building. The sacred Shraddhanjali ceremony was graced by the revered presence of Mananeeya Pravinji, All-India Treasurer of VRMVK and Mananeeya Alkagauri Didi, Assam Prant Sangathak, VRMVK. 

Speaking on the occasion, Mananeeya Pravinji beautifully narrated the inspirational journey and history behind the establishment of VKIC. She paid rich tributes to swargiya Tarun Chandra Goswami Ji, highlighting his selfless dedication and invaluable contributions to Vivekananda Kendra, society, and our great Bharat Mata. 

The program concluded with the Shanti Mantra.

Gita Jayanti Celebration and Amrit Pariwar Milan at Kamrup Vibhag

On 7 December 2025, from 10:00 a.m., Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari—Ugratara Nagar, Kamakhya Nagar, and Lalganesh Nagar of Kamrup Vibhag, Assam Prant—jointly celebrated Gita Jayanti and Amrit Pariwar Milan at the sacred Bhima Sankar Jyotirlinga Kshetra, located at Dakini Hill, Pamohi, Guwahati. The programme featured the chanting of Karma Yoga (Chapter 3) slokas from the Bhagavad Gita in Sanskrit and their Hindi rendering from Gita for Daily Life.

The highlights of the celebration included Sanskrit chanting of the Karma Yoga slokas, Hindi chanting from Gita for Daily Life, and an Amrit Pariwar discourse accompanied by a devotional song. The gathering was attended by Ad. Arup Bora ji, Kamrup Vibhag Pramukh; Ad. Smita Didi, Jeevan Brati and Sahitya Seva Pramukh, Kamrup Vibhag; and Ad. Kalyan Dutta, IT Pramukh, Kamrup Vibhag, along with Nagar Pramukhs, other Karyakartas, and devotees. A total of 38 participants attended the programme.

Organised by Ugratara Nagar with the support of Lalganesh Nagar and Kamakhya Nagar, the event featured an engaging discourse by Chief Speaker Ad. Kalyan Dutta Dada on the significance of Amrit Pariwar, focusing on the practice of 5S and 6B values. The session also included the song “Jeevan Mey Sukh-Dukh Ka Aana-Jaana Satat Chaley…”. A special address was delivered by Ad. Purushottam Upadhya Dada, Karyapaddhati Pramukh of Kamakhya Nagar and a renowned Kathavachak, who spoke on the Gita Saar. Additionally, Ad. Sushil Kumar ji, Karyapaddhati Pramukh of Kamrup Vibhag, conducted a series of enjoyable and interactive games.

The programme concluded with a collective Sankalpa to practice Gita sloka chanting in every family and to follow the principles of 5S and 6B in each Sankul. The celebration reflected devotion, discipline, and the collective resolve to integrate the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita into daily life. The event concluded with the Kendra Prarthana, followed by Amrit Bhojan lovingly brought by participating families.

Geeta Jayanti of Kamrup Vibhag and Lalganesh Nagar

Vivekananda Kendra, Kamrup Vibhag, observed Gita Jayanti on 01st December 2025 at 7:00 a.m. at the Assam Prant Headquarters, Panbazar, Guwahati. The celebration featured the complete chanting of the Bhagavad Geeta slokas from Chapters 1 to 18, which took approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes. The programme was attended by Adaraneeya Arup Bora ji, Kamrup Vibhag Pramukh; Ad. Alaka Gauri Didi, Jeevan Brati and Sangathak, Assam Prant; and Ad. Smita Didi, Jeevan Brati and Sahitya Sewa Pramukh, Kamrup Vibhag, along with 12 Karyakartas and devotees. In total, 15 people participated in the programme.

Gita Jayanti was also celebrated at Bharat Sewa Ashram, Kalapahar, organized by VK Lalganesh Nagar. The programme included systematic chanting from the Gita for Daily Life book with a participation of 25 people. Ad. Kalyan Dutta ji, IT-Pramukh, Kamrup Vibhag, conducted an interactive session highlighting the importance of the Gita for Amrit Pariwar and offered guidance to youth on self-management, spirituality, righteous duty, and overcoming life’s challenges through practical study of the Bhagavad Gita. A special address was delivered by Ad. Rita Das Didi, Nagar Pramukh, who read out the Gita Jayanti letter by Mananeeya Nivedita Didi.

Both programmes concluded with a collective Sankalpa to practice Gita shloka chanting in every family henceforth. The celebrations reflected devotion, discipline, and a shared resolve to integrate the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita into daily life. The programme concluded with the Kendra Prarthana, followed by light refreshments.
