Geeta Jayanti of Kamrup Vibhag and Lalganesh Nagar

Vivekananda Kendra, Kamrup Vibhag, observed Gita Jayanti on 01st December 2025 at 7:00 a.m. at the Assam Prant Headquarters, Panbazar, Guwahati. The celebration featured the complete chanting of the Bhagavad Geeta slokas from Chapters 1 to 18, which took approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes. The programme was attended by Adaraneeya Arup Bora ji, Kamrup Vibhag Pramukh; Ad. Alaka Gauri Didi, Jeevan Brati and Sangathak, Assam Prant; and Ad. Smita Didi, Jeevan Brati and Sahitya Sewa Pramukh, Kamrup Vibhag, along with 12 Karyakartas and devotees. In total, 15 people participated in the programme.

Gita Jayanti was also celebrated at Bharat Sewa Ashram, Kalapahar, organized by VK Lalganesh Nagar. The programme included systematic chanting from the Gita for Daily Life book with a participation of 25 people. Ad. Kalyan Dutta ji, IT-Pramukh, Kamrup Vibhag, conducted an interactive session highlighting the importance of the Gita for Amrit Pariwar and offered guidance to youth on self-management, spirituality, righteous duty, and overcoming life’s challenges through practical study of the Bhagavad Gita. A special address was delivered by Ad. Rita Das Didi, Nagar Pramukh, who read out the Gita Jayanti letter by Mananeeya Nivedita Didi.

Both programmes concluded with a collective Sankalpa to practice Gita shloka chanting in every family henceforth. The celebrations reflected devotion, discipline, and a shared resolve to integrate the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita into daily life. The programme concluded with the Kendra Prarthana, followed by light refreshments.

Amrit Parivar Milan and Bhajan Sandhya at Lalganesh Nagar and Guwahati

Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Assam Prant, Kamrup Vibhag organized an Amrit Pariwar Milan and Bhajan Sandhya on 10th November 2025 at Bhaskar Nagar vistar of Lalganesh Nagar and at Yoga Aragyam, Udalbakra Vistar, Guwahati. The Milan at Bhaskar Nagar was hosted at the residence of Ad. Sujata Das Didi, while the Udalbakra Vistar programme was held at the Yoga Aragyam premises. The programmes were attended by 25 participants at Bhaskar Nagar Bistar and 32 participants at Udalbakra Bistar.

The event was graced by Ad. Alaka Gauri Didi, Jeevan Vrati and Assam Prant Sangathak; Ad. Smita Didi, Jeevan vrati and Sahitya Seva Pramukh, Kamrup Vibhag; Ad. Arup Bora, Kamrup Vibhag Pramukh; along with other dedicated karyakartas of the Vibhag and Nagar.

The programme commenced with a prayer, followed by devotional bhajans offered by the karyakartas, creating a serene and spiritually uplifting environment. Addressing the gathering, Ad. Arup Bora Dada emphasized the contemporary relevance of Amrit Pariwar and encouraged the participants to understand its core values and embody the guidelines in their family and social life.

He further appealed for Sankul formation within the participating families. Accordingly, two new Sankuls were unanimously formed—Sri Ramakrishna Paramahansa Sankul at Bhaskar Nagar Vistar and Sister Nivedita Sankul at Udalbakra Vistar. It was also decided that the next Amrit Pariwar Milan would be held on 14th November 2025 at the residence of Ad. Dhaneswar Kalita Dada of Ugratara Nagar.

The programme concluded with the Kendra Prarthana.
