Ceremonial Launch of Two New Books at VKIC, Guwahati

Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Assam Prant, VK Assomiya Prakashan Vibhag, organized a Book Release Programme on 30 November 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at the Vivekananda Kendra Institute of Culture (VKIC), Uzanbazar, Guwahati, Assam. Two books were ceremonially released with Sankhanad: “Bharatiya Sanskriti: Chunotiyan aur Sambhavnaye” (Hindi version) authored by Mananeeya Kum. Nivedita Raghunath Bhide, Vice President, Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, and “Ananiya Vivekananda” authored by Shri Susanta Sarkar ji, an active Karyakarta of Vivekananda Kendra.

The programme was chaired by Adaraneeya Vanwarlal Purohit ji, social activist and Executive Member of VKIC. The Chief Guest for the occasion was Mananeeya Laxmi Narayan Bhalla ji, a renowned author, social activist, and veteran Sangha Pracharak. The Special Guest was Aadaraneeya Smt. Ratna Singh, Councillor, Guwahati Municipal Committee. Other dignitaries present included the writer Shri Susanta Sarkar ji; Ad. Bibhas Das Prokasthya ji, Assam Prant Sanchalak, Vivekananda Kendra; Ad. Meera Didi, Jeevan Brati and Joint Secretary, VKASPV, and Secretary, VKIC; and Ad. Alaka Gauri Joshi Didi, Jeevan Brati and Assam Prant Sangathak of Vivekananda Kendra, along with Karyakartas and the general audience.

The proceedings began with Shri Ghanashyam Loriya ji explaining the purpose of the book release event. This was followed by Ad. Alka Gauri Joshi Didi introducing Vivekananda Kendra to the gathering. A melodious patriotic song was then presented by Vivekananda Kendra Karyakartas.

In the key messages delivered, Ad. Ratna Singh ji appealed to society to oppose polygamy and “love jihad” and encouraged everyone to read Bharatiya Sanskriti book, highlighting the current challenges to Sanatan Bharatiya Sanskriti. Mananeeya Laxmi Narayan Bhalla ji elaborated on the essence of Bharatiya Sanskriti by Nivedita Raghunath Bhide Didi, emphasizing that Sanatan Dharma teaches us to respond with love even toward those who oppose it. Speaking on Ananiya Vivekananda by Susanta Sarkar, he remarked, “If you want to know India, read Swami Vivekananda.”

The programme concluded with an appeal to ensure that the books reach every family across the nation, followed by a vote of thanks offered by Mananeeya Bibhas Das Prokasthya ji, Prant Sanchalak, Vivekananda Kendra, Assam Prant, in a befitting manner.
