The Gita Parayana and Bhajan Sandhya at Marathahalli

Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Karnataka Prant, Marathahalli Karyasthan successfully organized a soulful Gita Parayana and Bhajan Sandhya on December 30, 2025 on the auspicious occasion of Vaikunta Ekadasi. The Bhajan Sandhya was held at the residence of Shri Nandeesh Reddy ji, who is a well-wisher of Kendra and MLA from Marathahalli. The event witnessed the participation of 39 participants, including 8 karyakartas.

The chanting was gracefully led by Shri Chandru Anna, Shri Vinay Anna, Kum Sita Lakshmi Akka, and Kum Padma Rekha Akka, ensuring a meditative and rhythmic atmosphere throughout the session.
 
The program featured the complete chanting of all 18 chapters of the Srimad Bhagavad Gita, with the collaborative support of the VK Hebbal and VK RT Nagar, as well as the Karnataka Prant karyakarthas.
The event concluded with a traditional Mangala Aarathi and the distribution of Prasada.

Free Multi-specialty Medical Camp at Chowkham in Arunachal Pradesh

Vivekananda Kendra Arun Jyoti, Arunachal Pradesh (Arunachal Prant), in association with Sui Ka Pha Multi-specialty Hospital, Rajabari, Sivsagar, Assam, organized a Free Multi-specialty Medical Camp at the Community Health Centre, Chowkham, Namsai District, Arunachal Pradesh, on 27th December 2025. The camp was conducted with the objective of providing quality medical services to the local community, especially the economically weaker sections.

A total of 75 patients were examined during the camp by Dr. Pankaj Pandey, Clinical Cardiologist, and Dr. Ashish Raj, Gynecologist. As part of the medical services, 59 free ECG tests were conducted, and blood pressure and blood sugar levels were checked free of cost. Patients identified with critical cardiological conditions were advised to undergo further evaluation and treatment.

A brief inaugural programme was also organized during the camp. Dr. Rajiv Yadav, CEO of Sui Ka Pha Multi-specialty Hospital, introduced the hospital and highlighted its facilities, emphasizing the availability of quality medical services at affordable costs for critical illnesses. Dr. Pankaj Pandey delivered an informative talk on heart diseases and their prevention, while Dr. Ashish Raj spoke on common gynecological disorders and preventive measures. Shri Nang Timita Mungyak, Lohit Vibhag Karyakarta of Vivekananda Kendra, delivered an insightful address on the vision and activities of Vivekananda Kendra.

The newly elected Zila Parishad Member of Chowkham, Shri Chow Molaseng Namshum, along with his team, extended full logistical support for the successful conduct of the camp. The medical team of the Community Health Centre, Chowkham, provided essential medical assistance, contributing significantly to the smooth execution of the programme.

Samartha Bharat Parva celebration and Dhuni Puja 2025 at Durgapur

Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, West Bengal Prant, Paschimbanga Prant, Shanti Niketan Vibhag, Durgapur Nagar organized the Samartha Bharat Parva celebration and Dhuni Puja at Vivekananda Uddyan, M.A.M.C., Durgapur Nagar, on 25th December 2025. A total of 86 people attended the event.

Samartha Bharat Parva celebrates the strength of India, observed from 25th December—the first day of Swami Vivekananda's meditation on the rock in 1892—to 12th January, the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda.

On the night of 24th December 1886, following the Mahasamadhi of their beloved Guru Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa on 16th August 1886, Swami Vivekananda and his brother disciples gathered and took their informal vows of sanyasa around a sacred fire at Antpur on 24 December 1886, which was followed by formal vows in January 1887 at Baranagar Math. The Dhuni Puja is celebrated to commemorate that historic event. The flame of the Dhuni symbolizes purity, renunciation, and the eternal spirit of service and sacrifice that Swamiji carried throughout his life.

The program was blessed by the honorable presence of Mananeeya Shri Hanumantha Rao Ji, All India Vice President of Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari. In front of the sacred flame lit before the statue of Swami Vivekananda, all participants gathered with deep devotion and reverence. They offered oblations and took a heartfelt vow to dedicate themselves to the service of society and the nation, following Swamiji's vision. The event concluded with the Shanti Mantra and Kendra Prarthana. Prasadam was distributed to all attendees.

Samartha Bharat Parva Celebration at VKV Kanyakumari

Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Tamil Nadu Prant, Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Kanyakumari (VKV Kanyakumari) started the Samartha Bharat Parva Celebrations on 25th December 2025 at 9.30 a.m., with the participation of 120 students and staff members. The programme was organized with the objective of instilling desh bhakti and spreading the message of national strength and cultural pride inspired by the ideals of Swami Vivekananda.

The celebration commenced with a warm welcome address by teacher Smt. P. Umaselvi who explained the significance and purpose of observing Samartha Bharat Parva. This was followed by the collective singing of Vande Mataram by all the participants, creating a solemn and patriotic atmosphere. Smt. Shantha Kumari, Balwadi Teacher, spoke on the importance of Samartha Bharat Parva and highlighted its relevance in nurturing a sense of responsibility towards the nation.

As part of the programme, Swami Vivekananda’s inspiring thoughts were shared in both Tamil and English by Smt. Subbulekshmi and Smt. Jeyalekshmi respectively, enabling students to connect with his message across languages. Bharat Mata Aarati was then performed, followed by the offering of pooja to Bharat Mata, reinforcing the spiritual and nationalistic spirit of the occasion.

The programme concluded with the Kendra Prarthana and Prasadam was distributed to all the participants. As a continuation of the Samartha Bharat Parva observance, Vande Mataram will be sung daily during the school assembly from 5 January to 12 January 2026 after the reopening of the school.

World Meditation Day Observance at RT Nagar

Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Karnataka Prant, RT Nagar Nagarsthan observed World Meditation Day during the Shakthi Samskara Varga on 21st December 2025 at Samhita School of Performing Arts. A total of 29 participants, including 27 students and 2 Shikshaks, took part in the programme.

The session commenced with a storytelling activity, during which Shri Guna, a Samskara Varga student, narrated an inspiring episode from the Ramayana, which was listened to attentively by all the students. Following this, Ms. Thara Didi explained the importance and significance of World Meditation Day, highlighting the role of meditation in cultivating inner peace, improving concentration, and strengthening character.

Subsequently, Shri Bharath Ji guided the students through a meditation session. After the practice, students shared their experiences, expressing a sense of calmness, improved focus, and positive awareness.

The programme was conducted smoothly and meaningfully, with enthusiastic and disciplined participation from all the students, reinforcing the value of meditation in daily life.

Matru–Pitru Poojan and Gita Jayanti Celebration at Pune

Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Maharashtra Prant, Pashchim Maharastra Vibhag, Pune Branch organized a Parivar Milan comprising Matru–Pitru Poojan and Gita Jayanti celebration on 21st December 2025. A total of 70 peoople participated and the programme provided a spiritually enriching and emotionally fulfilling experience for all participants.

The programme commenced with three Omkaras and a prayer led by Ms. Anushka Tai, creating a calm and devotional atmosphere. This was followed by a melodious Shri Krishna bhajan presented by Shri Nilesh Dada, which further enhanced the spiritual ambience. Shri Akshay Dada then introduced the programme, after which Shri Madhav Dada delivered an inspiring talk highlighting the practical relevance of the teachings of the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita in leading a balanced, positive, and purposeful life.

The Matru–Pitru Poojan formed the emotional core of the programme. Ms. Gauri Tai explained the significance of reverence towards parents through meaningful shlokas and reflections. As children offered their respects and parents bestowed their blessings, the atmosphere became deeply serene and emotionally charged. The spirit of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam was strongly felt, as participants experienced a sense of universal family bonding, especially touching for those living away from their own families.

Following the poojan, interactive games and action songs were conducted, with enthusiastic participation from both parents and children. The joyful involvement of elders added warmth and liveliness to the gathering. Informal interactions and personal conversations among families further strengthened mutual bonding and a sense of togetherness.

The programme concluded on a fulfilling note, leaving participants with a deep sense of gratitude, inspiration, and belonging. Such initiatives reaffirm the values of family, respect, and collective harmony, while strengthening the emotional foundation of Vivekananda Kendra’s seva karya.

Gita Jayanti Celebration at Thiruvananthapuram

Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Kerala Prant, Thiruvananthapuram Branch organized the Gita Jayanti Celebration on 14th December 2025 from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Kendra karyalaya. A total of 17 participants attended the programme, which was conducted in a serene and spiritually uplifting atmosphere.

The programme commenced with the chanting of three Omkaras followed by Shanti Path, setting a contemplative tone. This was followed by bhajans sung in lead-and-follow mode.

Adaraneeya Priyamvada Didi, Jeevan-vrati Karyakarta addressed the gathering, briefly explaining the significance of the five major Utsavas of Vivekananda Kendra and elaborating in detail on the importance of Gita Jayanti. She highlighted how Lord Krishna guided Arjuna to understand the importance of performing one’s own duty and emphasized that the study of the Bhagavad Gita strengthens mental and emotional resilience. She also explained select verses from the Gita, including “Klibyam mā sma gamaḥ Pārtha”, elucidating their relevance in daily life.

Children from Janaka Janani Kripa Gurukulam rendered a soulful chanting of the 12th chapter of the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita, adding depth and devotion to the celebration. The programme concluded with the recitation of Nirvanashatakam, followed by meditation, Shanti Mantra, and Pushpanjali. Prasadam was distributed to all participants at the end of the programme.

Gita Jayanti Celebration at Jorhat

Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Assam Prant, Rongpur Vibhag, Jorhat Branch, in association with Sri Sri Satyanarayan Seva Kendra, Jorhat, organized the celebration of Gita Jayanti on 14th December 2025 at Sri Sri Satyanarayan Seva Kendra, Jorhat. The programme was attended by 65 participants and was conducted with the objective of promoting the relevance of the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita and the concept of Amrit Parivar through intellectual discussions and scriptural explanations.

The programme commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp (Pradeep) by Dr. Priyabrata Sen, President of Sri Sri Satyanarayan Seva Kendra, Jorhat, and Dr. Shilpi Dhar, Nagar Pramukh of Vivekananda Kendra Jorhat, followed by Mangalacharan Path recited by young Karyakartas of Vivekananda Kendra. After an introductory note by Dr. Shilpi Dhar, Dr. Priyabrata Sen delivered the welcome address, emphasizing the importance of celebrating Gita Jayanti in the contemporary context.

The main talk was delivered by Smt. Bani Goswami ji, retired teacher of Teok Higher Secondary School, and Shri Susamoy Purkayastha, Amrit Parivar Pramukh of Vivekananda Kendra, Assam Prant. In her address, Smt. Bani Goswami explained the role of the Bhagavad Gita in shaping individual character and highlighted its enduring relevance in modern life. Shri Susamoy Purkayastha elaborated on the concept of Amrit Parivar and explained how its values, rooted in the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita, can contribute to the moral and social reformation of society.

A devotional Krishna Bhajan was presented by Shri Kapil, Shri Hrisikesh, Shri Bhargav, Shri Kaustav, and other young Karyakartas of Vivekananda Kendra, creating a spiritually uplifting atmosphere at the venue. The programme was effectively anchored by Smt. Munu Devi, an active Karyakarta of Vivekananda Kendra.

Following the deliberations, Shri Nalin Sharma, Bivag Saha Sanchalak of Rongpur Vibhag, proposed the vote of thanks. This was followed by a brief introduction to Vivekananda Kendra and information on upcoming activities by Shri Pranjal Sharma, Yuva Pramukh of Rongpur Vibhag. The programme concluded with the recitation of the Shanti Mantra led by Smt. Tunmoni Bora, Nagar Karya Paddhati Pramukh of Vivekananda Kendra Jorhat.

During the programme, an announcement was also made regarding a Dhyan–Pranayam Shivir to be jointly organized by Vivekananda Kendra and Sri Sri Satyanarayan Seva Kendra from 21 to 23 December 2025, with Kumari Alaka Gauri Joshi Didi, Prant Sangathak of Vivekananda Kendra, Assam Prant, serving as the trainer.

Maa Sarada Devi Jayanti Celebration at RT Nagar

Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Karnataka Prant, RT Nagar Nagarsthan celebrated Maa Sarada Devi Jayanti during its 136th weekly Bhajan Sandhya on December 13, 2025. Held at the Samhita School of Performing Arts, RT Nagar the evening was filled with soul-stirring devotional music dedicated to the Holy Mother Maa Sharada Devi, fostering an atmosphere of peace and spiritual reflection. A total of 26 participants gathered to draw inspiration from the life of Maa Sarada Devi.

Smt. Thara didi spoke of Maa Sarada’s life, who spoke eloquently about the Holy Mother’s divine qualities, her infinite patience, compassion, and simplicity. Emphasizing how these virtues remain essential for us to follow in our modern lives.

The celebration was made even more special by the participation of children, who reverently offered flowers to seek the blessings of Maa Sarada Devi. The program concluded with a soul-stirring Aarati.

Gita Jayanti Celebration at VKV Vallioor

Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Tamil Nadu Prant, Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Vallioor (VKV-Vallioor), observed Gita Jayanti with devotion and reverence on 11th December 2025 at the Yoga Hall of the school. A total of 257 students from Classes VI to IX participated in the programme, which was organized to highlight the spiritual wisdom and timeless relevance of the Bhagavad Gita.

The celebration commenced with a prayer song rendered by the students, creating a spiritually uplifting atmosphere. This was followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the Principal, Smt. S. Esakkiammal @ Devi, marking the formal inauguration of the programme. The welcome address was delivered by Kum. Muthu Sankari of Class XI.

As part of the observance, Smt. Sumitha, a teacher of the school, led the chanting of select Gita shlokas, which were recited by the students with devotion and clarity. Subsequently, Shri. Bharathi Raja, Tamil Teacher, delivered an insightful message on the significance of Gita Jayanti, explaining how the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita emphasize selflessness, courage, and guidance towards spiritual consciousness.

The programme concluded with the Kendra Prarthana, bringing the celebration to a serene and inspiring close.

भारतीय संस्कृति का मूल है एकात्म जीवन दर्शन - निवेदिता दीदी

भारतीय संस्कृति एकात्म जीवन दर्शन पर आधारित है। संस्कृति के तीन घटक हैं – जीवन दर्शनजीवन मूल्य और जीवन व्यवस्था। संस्कृति के ये तीनों घटक पूरे भारत में समान रूप से विद्यमान हैइसलिए भारतीय संस्कृति तात्विक रूप से एक है। एकात्म जीवन दर्शन परस्पर सम्बन्धितपरस्परावलम्बी तथा परस्परपूरक है। यह बात विवेकानन्द केन्द्र कन्याकुमारी की राष्ट्रीय उपाध्यक्षा पद्मश्री निवेदिता दीदी ने कही। वे हिन्दी विभागराष्ट्रसंत तुकडोजी महाराज नागपुर विश्वविद्यालय द्वारा भारतीय भाषा दिवस के उपलक्ष्य में आयोजित भारतीय संस्कृति : चुनौतियाँ और सम्भावनाएं’ विषय पर बोल रही थीं। इस दौरान व्यासपीठ पर रा.तु.म. नागपुर विश्वविद्यालय मानविकी संकाय के अधिष्ठाता डॉ. शामराव कोरेटी तथा हिन्दी विभागाध्यक्ष डॉ. मनोज पाण्डेय उपस्थित थे।

निवेदिता दीदी ने आगे कहा कि हमारे देश के प्रत्येक मतपंथ या सम्प्रदायों के अनुयायी से लेकर सामान्य मनुष्य भी कहता है कि ईश्वर सर्वत्र है। कोई यह दावा नहीं करता कि मैं जिस देवता या देवी की पूजा करता हूँ वही सर्वश्रेष्ठ है। भारतीय व्यक्ति अपनी इच्छानुसार अपने इष्टदेव की उपासना करता है। हमारे यहाँ नदीवृक्षपर्वतजीव-जन्तुओं के साथ ही सम्पूर्ण प्रकृति की पूजा होती है। यही भारतीय संस्कृति का वैशिष्ट्य है। एकात्मभाव ही भारतीय जीवनशैली और उपासना पद्धति का मूल है।

राष्ट्रीय ध्येय के लिए जीवन जियें

निवेदिता दीदी ने कहा कि स्वामी विवेकानन्द ने भारत के दैवीय लक्ष्य से राष्ट्र को अवगत कराया था। विश्व को आध्यात्मिक जीवन-दृष्टि भारत को देना है। किन्तु आज हम अपने धर्मसंस्कृति यहाँ तक अपने आप को भूले बैठें हैं। दीदी ने चिन्ता व्यक्त करते हुए कहा कि हम मैं’ और मेरा’ की सोच में उलझे हुए हैं। बाहरी दिखावा और व्यर्थ चर्चाओं में समय बर्बाद करते हैं। हमारी बातें तो उदात्त होती हैं किन्तु हमारे आचरण निम्न स्तर का होता है। भौतिक इच्छाओं में ही फंसे होने के कारण हम अपने जीवन का उद्देश्य को भूल बैठे हैं। पर्यावरण का क्षरण हो रहा है। हमारे परिवार टूट रहे हैंऔर हम गम्भीर नहीं है। इसलिए हमें सम्भलने की जरूरत है। परिवारों में परस्पर संवादसंयमसंस्कारों की आवश्यकता है। ईश्वरीय शक्ति को आत्म-संयम और अनुशासन से ही अनुभव किया जा सकता है। दीदी ने जोर देकर कहा कि जीवन का वास्तविक आनंद राष्ट्र के ध्येय के साथ एकाकार होने में हैं। जीवन का यह वास्तविक आनंद खोकर हम विकसित नहीं हो सकते।

अपने अध्यक्षीय भाषण में मानविकी संकाय के अधिष्ठता डॉ. शामराव कोरेटी ने कहा कि हमारी संस्कृति महान है। हमारे आदर्श महान है। किन्तु हमारी कथनी और करनी में समानता नहीं हैइसलिए समस्या है। हमें अपनी सांस्कृतिक मूल्यों को जीना होगा। इससे पूर्व हिन्दी विभागाध्यक्ष डॉ. मनोज पाण्डेय ने अपने प्रास्ताविक भाषण में कहा कि राष्ट्रकवि सुब्रह्मण्य भारती की जयन्ती को भारतीय भाषा दिवस’ के रूप में मनाया जाता है। भारत सरकार भारतीय भाषाओं के संरक्षण और संवर्धन पर बल दे रही है। भारतीय भाषा अनेक हैंकिन्तु भाव एक है। सभी भारतीय भाषाएं भारतीय संस्कृति की संवाहक है। डॉ. लखेश्वर चन्द्रवंशी ने आभार व्यक्त किया। इस अवसर पर राष्ट्र सेविका समिति की अखिल भारतीय सह कार्यवाहिका चित्राताई जोशीविवेकानन्द केन्द्र की महाराष्ट्र प्रान्त संगठक सुजाताताई दलवीकेन्द्र के विदर्भ विभाग प्रमुख भरत जोशीतरुण भारत के संचालक मीराताई कडबेएबीवीपी के नागपुर महानगर संगठन मंत्री देवाशीष गोतरकरडॉ. चन्द्रकान्त रागीटडॉ. राजेन्द्र काकड़ेडॉ. शेषराव बावनकरसुनील किटकरुब्रजेश मानसचारुदत्त कहू सहित बड़ी संख्या में प्राध्यापकशोधार्थी और गणमान्य नागरिक उपस्थित थे।

“Pressure to Power – The Vivekananda Way” Session at Noida

Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Uttar Prant, Purvi Delhi Vibhag, Noida Branch organized an inspiring session titled “Pressure to Power – The Vivekananda Way” at ML Khanna DAV Public School, Dwarka, New Delhi, under the guidance of Dr. Nikhil Yadav ji and the dedicated team from Vivekananda Kendra, Chanakyapuri.

The programme held on 9th December 2025 was conducted for students of Classes VIII and IX with the objective of empowering young minds to positively channel stress into strength, confidence, and purposeful action, drawing inspiration from the life and teachings of Swami Vivekananda.

The session witnessed the enthusiastic participation of over 100 students, who actively engaged in discussions and interactive activities. Through practical examples and thought-provoking interactions, students gained valuable insights into managing academic and emotional pressure, developing inner resilience, and cultivating a strong value-based mindset relevant to contemporary life. The lively interaction and relatable approach ensured sustained attention and meaningful participation throughout the session.

As part of the programme, books based on Swami Vivekananda’s teachings were distributed to all participating students. To further deepen engagement, a book synopsis competition has been announced, with winners to be felicitated during the forthcoming Samartha Bharat Parva celebrations. The programme successfully inspired students to view challenges as opportunities for growth and self-transformation in the true spirit of Swamiji’s message.

Gita Jayanti Celebration and Amrit Pariwar Milan at Kamrup Vibhag

On 7 December 2025, from 10:00 a.m., Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari—Ugratara Nagar, Kamakhya Nagar, and Lalganesh Nagar of Kamrup Vibhag, Assam Prant—jointly celebrated Gita Jayanti and Amrit Pariwar Milan at the sacred Bhima Sankar Jyotirlinga Kshetra, located at Dakini Hill, Pamohi, Guwahati. The programme featured the chanting of Karma Yoga (Chapter 3) slokas from the Bhagavad Gita in Sanskrit and their Hindi rendering from Gita for Daily Life.

The highlights of the celebration included Sanskrit chanting of the Karma Yoga slokas, Hindi chanting from Gita for Daily Life, and an Amrit Pariwar discourse accompanied by a devotional song. The gathering was attended by Ad. Arup Bora ji, Kamrup Vibhag Pramukh; Ad. Smita Didi, Jeevan Brati and Sahitya Seva Pramukh, Kamrup Vibhag; and Ad. Kalyan Dutta, IT Pramukh, Kamrup Vibhag, along with Nagar Pramukhs, other Karyakartas, and devotees. A total of 38 participants attended the programme.

Organised by Ugratara Nagar with the support of Lalganesh Nagar and Kamakhya Nagar, the event featured an engaging discourse by Chief Speaker Ad. Kalyan Dutta Dada on the significance of Amrit Pariwar, focusing on the practice of 5S and 6B values. The session also included the song “Jeevan Mey Sukh-Dukh Ka Aana-Jaana Satat Chaley…”. A special address was delivered by Ad. Purushottam Upadhya Dada, Karyapaddhati Pramukh of Kamakhya Nagar and a renowned Kathavachak, who spoke on the Gita Saar. Additionally, Ad. Sushil Kumar ji, Karyapaddhati Pramukh of Kamrup Vibhag, conducted a series of enjoyable and interactive games.

The programme concluded with a collective Sankalpa to practice Gita sloka chanting in every family and to follow the principles of 5S and 6B in each Sankul. The celebration reflected devotion, discipline, and the collective resolve to integrate the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita into daily life. The event concluded with the Kendra Prarthana, followed by Amrit Bhojan lovingly brought by participating families.

शासकीय संस्कृत महाविद्यालय में 7 दिसंबर 2025 को आन्तरिक गुणवत्ता आश्वासन प्रकोष्ठ के अन्तर्गत भारतीय ज्ञान-परम्परा प्रकोष्ठ और विवेकानंद केंद्र कन्याकुमारी शाखा उज्जैन के संयुक्त तत्वावधान में गीता जयन्ती महोत्सव का समापन समारोह आयोजित किया गया। कार्यक्रम में मुख्य वक्ता डॉ. पूजा उपाध्यायअध्यक्षविशिष्ट संस्कृत विभागमहर्षि पाणिनि संस्कृत एवं वैदिक विश्वविद्यालयउज्जैन थीं। उन्होंने उपस्थित सुधीजनों को सम्बोधित करते हुए कहा कि गीता भारतीय ज्ञान परम्परा का अद्भुत संवाद शास्त्र है। जिसमें भगवान् श्री कृष्ण ने मनोवैज्ञानिक रीति से सात सोपानों के द्वारा अर्जुन के कर्ता भाव का जागरण किया है। कार्यक्रम की मुख्य अतिथि सरोज अग्रवालप्रमुखमध्य प्रान्तअमृत परिवार विवेकानंद केंद्र ने अपने सम्बोधन में गीता से जीवन में कही। कार्यक्रम की अध्यक्षता करते हुए प्राचार्य डॉ. सीमा शर्मा ने कहा कि गीता का तात्पर्य कर्मयोग है। हमें गीता में कहे मार्ग का अनुसरण करना चाहिए। कार्यक्रम समन्वयक डॉ. श्रेयस कोरान्ने ने बताया कि इस अवसर पर धर्मेन्द्र विपटमनीष खंडेलवालडॉ. सदानन्द त्रिपाठीडॉ. ममता मलिकडॉ. कंचन तिलवानीसुरितराम ध्रुवशैलेश दुबे आदि स्टाफ सदस्य और बड़ी संख्या में विद्यार्थी उपस्थित रहे।

Gita Jayanti Celebration at Baghlingampally

Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Hyderabad Vibhag, Baghlingampally Branch, in association with AVOPA and Shankar Mutt, successfully organized Gita Jayanti Celebrations on Sunday, 7 December 2025 at Sri Sringeri Shankaramath, Hyderabad. The programme was conducted with the objective of promoting the study, recitation, and practical application of the teachings of the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita, particularly among students.

The celebration witnessed enthusiastic participation from students of Dwaraka High School, Sri Gurudatta High School, Vamakshi Vidya Nikethan, Oxford Grammar School, DPS, and St. Adams High School. Around 150 students individually recited Gita slokas with confidence and clarity, reflecting disciplined preparation and devotion.

Dr. Madhusudhan Garu from Sanskrita Bharathi, the Chief Guest, emphasized the importance of developing speaking skills in the Sanskrit language and highlighted the spiritual and emotional benefits of regular Gita sloka recitation. He also referred to research studies from international institutions underscoring its role in enhancing mental stability and clarity. Dr. Murali Mohan Garu, MD (Ayurveda), the Guest of Honour, spoke on the health benefits associated with the regular chanting of Gita slokas. Sri Srinivas Rangacharya Sir quoted Swami Vivekananda’s message on the Bhagavad Gita and highlighted the responsibility of students in nation-building.

As part of recognition and encouragement, medals, participation certificates, Eknath Ji’s Chitra Katha, Bhagavad Gita books, and pens were distributed to the participants by Sri Ramalingeshwar ji and his associates. Sri Mukesh ji, Jeevan-vrati karyakarta, Vivekananda Kendra addressed the gathering and briefed the participants about Vivekananda Kendra and its seva activities.

A total of 400 participants, including students, parents, and teachers, attended the programme. The celebrations concluded with the distribution of prasad.
