Free Multi-specialty Medical Camp at Chowkham in Arunachal Pradesh

Vivekananda Kendra Arun Jyoti, Arunachal Pradesh (Arunachal Prant), in association with Sui Ka Pha Multi-specialty Hospital, Rajabari, Sivsagar, Assam, organized a Free Multi-specialty Medical Camp at the Community Health Centre, Chowkham, Namsai District, Arunachal Pradesh, on 27th December 2025. The camp was conducted with the objective of providing quality medical services to the local community, especially the economically weaker sections.

A total of 75 patients were examined during the camp by Dr. Pankaj Pandey, Clinical Cardiologist, and Dr. Ashish Raj, Gynecologist. As part of the medical services, 59 free ECG tests were conducted, and blood pressure and blood sugar levels were checked free of cost. Patients identified with critical cardiological conditions were advised to undergo further evaluation and treatment.

A brief inaugural programme was also organized during the camp. Dr. Rajiv Yadav, CEO of Sui Ka Pha Multi-specialty Hospital, introduced the hospital and highlighted its facilities, emphasizing the availability of quality medical services at affordable costs for critical illnesses. Dr. Pankaj Pandey delivered an informative talk on heart diseases and their prevention, while Dr. Ashish Raj spoke on common gynecological disorders and preventive measures. Shri Nang Timita Mungyak, Lohit Vibhag Karyakarta of Vivekananda Kendra, delivered an insightful address on the vision and activities of Vivekananda Kendra.

The newly elected Zila Parishad Member of Chowkham, Shri Chow Molaseng Namshum, along with his team, extended full logistical support for the successful conduct of the camp. The medical team of the Community Health Centre, Chowkham, provided essential medical assistance, contributing significantly to the smooth execution of the programme.

Free Medical Camp by VK-NRL Hospital at Numaligarh

Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Assam Prant, Vivekananda Kendra NRL Hospital, in collaboration with Aanandalaya Prakalp, Golaghat, organized a Free Medical Check-up Camp for adolescent girls and women on 14th June 2025 at Numaligarh Rawduar Pothar L.P. School as part of its flagship health programme.

A total of 82 patients were examined, and free medicines were distributed.

The medical team comprised Dr. Nipankar Mahanta, Dr. Hiranya Kumar Barua, and Dr. Karabi Saikia, supported by Jaya Sarkar, Thirthajit Gogoi, and other dedicated medical staff members of Vivekananda Kendra NRL Hospital.

The camp was graced by Shri Umesh Tossa, Sah Pramukh of Aanandalaya Prakalp, along with five Acharyas of Numaligarh Mandal and Gram Samiti members, whose presence and support contributed significantly to the smooth conduct of the camp.

Such initiatives reflect Vivekananda Kendra’s continued commitment to holistic rural development and Swami Vivekananda’s vision of ‘Shiv Bhave Jeev Seva’ - serving the needy as worship of the Divine dwelling in all beings.

Free Medical Camp - VK Arunjyoti



 The Swasthya Seva Manch of Vivekananda Kendra Arun Jyoti, Arunachal Pradesh organized free medical camps in Changlang and East Kameng districts from 5th to 9th April 2022.  Camps were organized at New Longkey, Saimu, Balijan, Khachang and Phanyak villages of Changlang and Bana, Pabua, Pakoti and Seppa Township of East Kameng. 916 patients were examined during the camps and free medicines were given to the needy patients. 13 dental procedures were done. Following Doctors from Nagpur rendered their voluntary services during the camps-

7. Dr. Shailaja Deshpande, BDS, Dental Surgeon

One Medical Social Worker, Smt. Ashwini Girhe also accompanied the team. She and Dr. Mrudula Bapat were engaged in our Swasthya Rakshak training camp where 11 youths from Changlang, Tirap, Longding and Namsai participated. They taught the youths about basic health and hygiene, first-aid, anemia, infectious diseases, village health survey etc.

The participation of the youths as volunteers especially in Seppa area is very encouraging. The villagers of the above mentioned villages are very happy to get services of specialist and highly experienced Doctors at their doorsteps.
