Celebration of Sadhana Diwas at VKV Kanyakumari

A 15,000 sq feet rangoli, depicting Swami Vivekananda in the forefront, with his rock memorial in the background, will be made to mark Swami Vivekananda's 150th anniversary.

Artist Jagdish Chavan will lead a team of 80 chosen artists, 42 of whom are his students to create this giant rangoli. To be exhibited at the Brihan-Maharashtra College of Commerce (BMCC) grounds, from November 18 to 20, the rangoli is expected to take around 48 hours to complete.

It would take approximately 800 kgs of colour powder and 600 kgs of white powder to create this rangoli. Given the size, a special ramp would be constructed in order to facilitate easy viewing for the visitors.

A short documentary, showing the making of the Vivekananda memorial at Kanyakumari would be screened at the exhibition.

The inaugural function will be attended by veteran artist Ravi Paranjpe, music composer and singer Salil Kulkarni, lyricist Sandeep Khare and actor Rahul Solapurkar.

During the inaugural ceremony, women kirtankars from the city will conduct kirtans on Swami Vivekanand's life. Apart from this, the Sandeep Khare-Salil Kulkarni duo will sing songs, composed on Swami Vivekanand's life and teachings.

The exhibition will be organised by Swami Vivekanand Sardha Shati Samaroh Samiti (150th birth anniversary celebration committee), along with BMCC and Sanskar Bharati, which is well known for its distinct style of rangoli.

स्वामी विवेकानन्द सन्देश यात्रा

आगामी वर्ष स्वामी विवेकानन्द की 150 वीं जयन्ती का महापर्व लेकर आ रहा है। इसअवसर विश्वभर में अनेक उपक्रमों का आयोजन किया जा रहा है। इस उत्सव को अधिक हेतुपूर्ण तथा रोचक बनाने के लिए भारतवर्ष में अनेक सुन्दर कराक्रमों की योजना है। इस श्रंखला की पहली कड़ी अर्थात स्वामी विवेकानन्द सन्देश यात्रा।

स्वामी विवेकानन्द सार्ध शती समारोह समिति और लोकमान्यसांस्कृतिक व क्रीडा मंडल के संयुक्त तत्वावधान में प्रारंभ हुई इस यात्रा की शुरुवात 21 नवम्बर 2012 से हो चुकी है। 18 नवम्बर 2012 को नागपुर से 23 कार्यकर्ता इस यात्रा में सम्मिलित हुए। जिनमें से 12 वर्ष के ओंकार रमण सेनाड, आयु में यह सबसे छोटा कार्यकर्ता तथा 65 वर्षीय श्री बी.एम. अग्रवाल बड़े हैं। बाइक द्वारा निकली इस यात्रा के संयोजक अड. श्री रमण सेनाड तथा श्री आशीष जाधव सह संयोजक हैं। यह यात्रा कन्याकुमारी से प्रारंभ होकर रामेश्वरम, धनुषकोटि, मदुरै, मैसूर, बेंगलुरु, तिरुपति, श्री शैलम, हैदराबाद, आदिलाबाद, यवतमाल तथा वर्धा से होकर 2 दिसम्बर 2012 को नागपुर पहुंचेगी। इस यात्रा के दौरान स्थान-स्थान पर पथनाट्य, व्याख्यान, कथोपकथन तथा देशभक्ति गीतों के माध्यम से स्वामी विवेकानन्दजी के सन्देशों का प्रचार किया जायेगा।

इस यात्रा में सम्मिलित 23 कार्यकर्ता 18 नवम्बर 2012 संघमित्रा एक्सप्रेस द्वारा नागपुर से कन्याकुमारी रवाना हुए। राष्ट्रवादी कांग्रेस पार्टी के दलित आघाडी के महाराष्ट्र प्रदेश अध्यक्ष श्री प्रकाशजी गजभिये ने हरी झंडी दिखाकर इस यात्रा में सम्मिलित कार्यकर्ताओं का यात्रा के लिए शुभकामनाएं दीं। इस अवसर पर राष्ट्रीय स्वयंसेवक संघ, विदर्भ प्रदेश के सहकार्यवाह श्री अतुल मोघे विशेष रूप से उपस्थित थे। सभी सन्देश यात्रियों को स्वामी विवेकानन्द के जीवन चरित्र तथा विचारों पर आधारित पुस्तक भेंट की गई।

विवेकानन्द केंद्र कन्याकुमारी, शाखा- नागपुर के नगर संचालक श्री भरत जोशी, वरिष्ठ कार्यकर्ता श्रीमती अरुणा देशपांडे तथा संघ के नागपुर महानगर कार्यवाह श्री मोहन अग्निहोत्री आदि अनेक कार्यकर्ताओं ने सन्देश यात्रियों को शुभकामनाएं देकर उनका उत्साह बढ़ाया।

साधना दिवस उत्सव : इन्दौर

विवेकानन्द केन्द्र कन्याकुमारी शाखा इन्दौर द्वारा साधना दिवस उत्सव मनाया गया। कार्यक्रम एक्य मंत्र और गीत "दिव्य ध्येय की ओर तपस्वी जीवन भर अविचल चलता है..” से शुरू हो गया। सुनयना दीदी के प्रस्तावना के बाद साधना दिवस के उपलब्धमे  खण्डेलवालजी, देवजी, सुनयना दीदी,  अतुलजी सेठ,  वाजपेयी काका और  रवीजी जोशीने प्रस्तुतीकरण  दिया।

साधना दिवस के उपलक्ष मे कार्यकर्ताओं ने सेवा ही साधना इस पुस्तक के अध्याय का अभ्यास कर प्रस्तुतिकरण किया। कार्यक्रम के अन्त मे नगर प्रमुख जी ने दायित्व की घोषणा की और कार्यकर्ताऒं ने केन्द्र के पंच प्रेरणा स्त्रोत के समक्ष संकल्प लेकर आहुती अर्पण की. कार्यक्रम का संचालन नगर प्रमुख श्री अतुल शेठ जी ने किया जिसमे १९ की संख्या मे कार्यकर्ता उपस्थीत थे. शांति मंत्र के बाद कार्यक्रम संपन्न  हुआ।

Childrens Day Celebration at VKV Kanyakumari

Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Kanyakumari celebrated children's day on evening of 14th November 2012. A nation prospers or progresses  by developing the hidden potential lying untapped in her children. Children are the valuable asset of our nation, the future of our land, and the hope of tomorrow.

The program was started with invocation by 8th STD students. It gave us a divine blessing of god. Welcome speech was given by Mariya Sajibha, student of 7th std.

Nivedita  Bharathi of 8th std delivered the speech in English about the importance of children’s day.

The hand written magazine was released by chief guest Dr. ARUNKUMAR, who is the secretary of Vivekananda Educational society Agasteeswaram, Kanyakumari. He spoke about this day and told that the day is also celebrated as a diabetic day.10 Indian scientist got Nobel Prize, 3 of them are from Tamilnadu. He reminded Abdulkalam’s dreams, where India will become developed country by year 2020.

The students of 6th and 7th std sang a song praising our mother Bharath.

Special guest Mananeeya. HanumantaraoJi, Treasurer of Vivekananda Kendra told about the teacher’s duty to develops student’s self confidence ,teaching and learning of Science, Maths and English is very essential. Mananeeya. HANUMANTARAOJI, presented a memento to  honourable chief guest Dr. ARUNKUMAR .

Program ended with vote of thanks and Kendra parthana.
