Rama’s squirrel calling ………

The whole village had gathered in the garden of the sculptor. They had got used to him, to the chiseling, the hammering, the chipping and the scraping. But today it was different. Where there had been but a huge hard boulder, now stood a living goddess, beautiful and glowing, bathed in the soft light of the morning sun. They were speechless, unable to take their eyes away from the marvel.

The spell was broken by a soft, wonder-struck voice:

“But how did you know that she was hiding inside?”

The sculpture smiled with a faraway look:

“Because I saw her inside.”

The project “Green Resilient Rameswaram” is a similar attempt to uncover the hidden beauty of this holy island and have a clear vision of the Divine presence.

One Day Youth Workshop held at Vivekananda kendra Prashikshan va seva Prakalp

A one day youth camp was conducted on 27th Sep. 2017 at Arts, Commerce & Science College at Tryambakeshwar. 22 students participated in the camp. All of them have appeared for an examination on the book ‘Peranadeep’ which contains lives and messages of Swami Vivekananda, Mahatma Phule, Gadge Maharaj, Karmaveer Bhaurao Patil and Dr. Ambedkar. The camp started at 8.30 am with prayer. It was followed by a game. While playing, they got introduced to each other. After a patriotic song and a session on the Message of Mahatmas, they participated in group discussion and shared their thoughts.They also learned the suryanamaskarars.
Now all are willing to participate in Kendra activities as well as the camp to be held at Kanyakumari from 25th to 27th Dec, 2017. 

Swami Vivekananda Baudhdhik Pratiyogita Shimla

Vivekananda Kendra Shimla Branch organized two days Swami Vivekananda Baudhdhik Pratiyogita having theme - Know Your Self

First phase : Book base examination on - Life and  Teachings of Swami Vivekananda on 2nd sept.  62 students from various depart of HPU, Kotsera, Sanjoli and RKMV college.

Second phase : 4:30 hours Special orientation workshop having group discussion and presentation on subject like Indian culture, modernization, Power of youth and purpose of life. Songs, drama and Yogasana are the part of workshop. : 54 students from various Dept. of Himachal Pradesh University, Govt Degree COllege, Kotsera, Govt Degree College, Sanjauli and Rajkiya Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (RKMV) college.

Ignited Youth Campaign launched at Bengal

Vivekananda Kendra Pashimbang Prant launched the IGNITED YOUTH Campaign (A Leadership Development Training Project)  on 25th August at Ramkrishna Mission Vivekananda University, Belur Math on the presence of Pujya Swami Atmpriyananda Maharaj (Vice Chancellor), Capt.(Retd) Jashodeep Bhomik, Shri Manoj Das (Prant Sangathak of Pashim Bang Prant of Vivekananda Kendra).

The program was attended by 55 youth from different colleges. Shri Avijit Das (Director-Camellia Institute of Technology & Management) & Prof. V. K. Tewari (H.O.D. Agriculture & Rural Development Dept. IIT, Kharagpur) grace the inaugural program.

3 Days Residential Youth motivation camp at Kanyakumari

3 Days Residential Youth motivation camp is organised by Vivekananda Kendra Mysore at Kanyakumari from June 6th to June 8th. On 6th June Ma. Balakrishanji, Vice president of Vivekananda Kendra inaugurated the camp and talked about Vivekananda Rock Memorial and Ma. Eknathji. The topic Purposeful Life  by Ma. Radha Didi, Pranta Sanghatak and interacted with students. How I inspired by Swami Vivekananda by Sri Raghuji, Bangalore.  Patriotic saint Swami Vivekananda and Karma Yogini Bhagini Nivedita by Sri Vinayaka, Yuva Pramukh, Vivekananda Kendra, Mysore. Su. Kalyani Didi took song session.  On 8th June , Ma.Aparna didi, talked about Kendra and how students can associate in Kendra activities. Prayer, games , group discussion, Shramanubhava, yoga and pranayama are the other activities.All the participants visited Rock memorial, Sri Ramayana Dharshanam, Bharatamata sadhan, other exhibitions the campus. Total participants 40, teachers-3, karyakartas- 7.

Three Days Residential Yuva Prerana Shibir at Gandhinagar

This three days residential Yuva Prerana Shibir was organized under Safal Yuva Samarth Bharat programme at Gandhinagar from 24th feb to 26th feb 2017. There are 49 participants (brother and sisters) colleges of Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Palanpur, Patan and Mehsana. The camp was inaugurated by Shibir Pramukh Shri Nalinbhai Pandya(Karnawati vibhag Pramukh). Suyanamaskar, yogasana, pranayama, discussion on various topics, lectures, bhajan and geet were the part of camp.

बिलासपुर में युवा प्रेरणा शिविर

विवेकानंद केंद्र कन्याकुमारी शाखा  बिलासपुर द्वारा युवा प्रेरणा शिविर का आयोजन 25 नवंबर से 29 नवंबर तक किया गया है इसमें लगभग 80 शिविरार्थी शामिल तथा कार्यकर्ताओं को मिलाकर कुल संख्या लगभग 100  है,l

इस शिविर का उद्देश्य युवा में राष्ट्रीय चेतना का जागरण करते हुए उन्हें चारित्रिक दृष्टि से उन्नत बनाना है ताकि यह सभी युवा विवेकानंद केंद्र के मनुष्य निर्माण से राष्ट्र निर्माण के लक्ष्य को पूरा करने में यथोचित सहयोग प्रदान कर सकेlअलग-अलग महाविद्यालयों तथा विश्वविद्यालय से उठो जागो युवा अभियान के अंतर्गत लिखित परीक्षा एवम् युवा कार्यशाला के माध्यम से चयनित युवक - युवतियों का यह शिविर है ।

आदरणीय रचना दीदी मध्य प्रांत संगठक विवेकानंद केंद्र शिविर अधिकारी के रूप में इस शिविर में उपस्थित रहेंगी l इस  का उद्घाटन सत्र 25 नवंबर की संध्या को हुआ, जिसमें विवेकानंद केंद्र के वरिष्ठ कार्यकर्ता डॉक्टर उल्लास वारे जी तथा संघ के विभाग संघचालक आदरणीय काशीनाथ गोरे जी मंचासीन हुए, उन्होंने अपने उद्बोधन में वैभवशाली भारत के इतिहास में प्रकाश डालते हुए भारत के 'सोने की चिड़िया' होने के पीछे वैदिक धर्म के पालन होने को बताया साथ ही उन्होंने साथ मिलकर कार्य करने पर जोर दिया l

यह शिविर बहतराइ रोड स्थित इन डोर  स्टेडियम बिलासपुर में आयोजित किया गया है जो की 29 नवंबर 2016 तक चलेगा, राष्ट्र कार्य में सहयोग हेतु युवाओं से आह्वान के साथ समापन सत्र होगा l

रांची में व्यक्तित्व विकास शिविर

विवेकानन्द केंद्र कन्याकुमारी की शाखा की ओर से रांची के दस बडे स्कुलों के बच्चों का व्यक्तित्व विकास शिविर दिनांक 13-10-2016 से 16- 10-2016 तक डी ए वी़ आकाश पब्लिक स्कुल काॅके रोड में आयोजित किया गया । जिसमें 34 चयनित बच्चों का शारिरिक मानसिक एवं बौद्विक विकास कार्यक्रम हुआ । उक्त कार्यक्रम में रांची एवं पटना के कई प्रबुद्व लोगों ने बच्चों का मनोबल बढाया।

कार्यक्रम का समापन झ्रारखंड उच्च न्यायालय के पूर्व न्यायाधीश और राज्य उपभोक्ता संरक्षण आयोग के अध्यक्ष श्री रमेश कुमार मेरतिया और विनोद गड़यान जी के कर कमलों से सम्पन्न हुआ। पूर्व न्यायाधीश ने अपने सम्बोधन में कहा कि बच्चों का सम्पूर्ण विकास की आवश्यकता को विवेकानन्द केन्द्र ने अनुभव किया और इस निमित शिविर का आयोजन किया गया है। उन्होने विवेकानन्द की जीवनी पर प्रकाश डालते हुआ कहा कि वह तीन दिनों तक कन्याकुमारी स्थीत शिला पर ध्यान किया और तब देश को नई दिशा देने का काम किया उनकी साधना से यूवाओं को प्रेरणा लेनी चाहिए। मात्र चालिस वर्ष की आयु में पूरी दुनिया के लोगो के प्रेरणा स्त्रोत बने।

कार्यशाला के सफल आयोजन में केंद्र के बिहार झ्रारखंड संगठक मुकेश कीर राजेश अग्रवाल, सुरेश प्रसाद नमिता पांडेय अभिषेक गौरव माधव मिनाक्षी ने सहयोग दिया।

One Day Youth Motivational Camp at Karnawati

One Day Youth Motivtional Camp was organized under Safal Yuva - Samarth Bharat Programme. The whole Camp was divided into three parts. Games , Suryanamskar and Group Discussion followed by Concluding session . The Camp was started with Teen Omkar , Prathna. Then Motivational Geet had been sung by Yuva karyakarta. All the above mentioned three parts had an essential part of this Motivational camp. The concluding session had been taken by Dr. Kamlesh Upadyay.

Youth workshop at Bilaspur

Under Utho Jago Yuva Abhiyan YOUTH WORKSHOP was organised in Bilaspur on 18th October 2016.

In this workshop main speakers were Ma. Bhanudasji, General Secretary of Vivekananda Kendra, Prof. Anjila Gupta, VC GGU, Vishisht Atithi- Dr. Ulhas Ware Pradesh Saiyojak Utho jaogo pratiyogita and Prof. BN Tiwary Ragistar GGU. Ma. Kishorji, Joint Gen. Secretary & Sushri Rachna Didi Madhyaprant Sangthak were also present during the workshop, which was ogranised under able leadership of Shri Kuldip, Nagar Sangathak of  Bilaspur. The function was held by Sri Ashutsoh, Nagar Yuva pramukh of VK Bilaspur.

The program were started with three Omkar and prayer followed by Kendra Parichay and after Vivek Wani and Patriotic Song, Ma. Bhanudasji guided the youths. The next  session  of workdhop is about interactive activity like Games and Group Discussion, which followed by the presentation group-wise.

One Day Youth Motivational Camp at Gandhinagar

Open book examination was conducted at Government Engineering College and VPMP Polytechnic in Gandhinagar under Safal Yuva Samarth Bharat programme.

Total no of 150 students participated in examination. One day youth motivational camp was organized on the 15th October, 2016 at Government Engineering College, sector 28, Gandhinagar. Total no of 103 students participated in the camp. Games, Songs, Suryanamaskar, Inspirational Lectures, songs Group Discussion were main activities of the camp. Dr Kamleshbhai Upadhyay delivered an inspirational talk to the students. He requested students to be a contributive personality of the society. Total no of 16 karyakartas were present in the organizing team. 

बौद्धिक प्रतियोगिता एवं युव प्रेरणा शिविर @ शिमला

स्वामी विवेकानन्द के 11 सितम्बर 1893 के “विश्व विजयी भाषण” के द्वारा विश्वको दिया गया “बन्धुत्व” का संदेश पूरे विश्वमें “विश्व बन्धुत्व दिवस” के रूप में मनाया जा रहा है। विवेकनन्द केन्द्र भी हर साल इस समारोह को मनाता है। इस अवसर को ध्यान में लेते हुए विवेकानन्द केन्द्र, कन्याकुमारी - शाखा शिमला द्वारा स्वामी विवेकानन्द बौद्धिक प्रतियोगिता का अायोजन किया गया। जीसमें हिमाचल प्रदेश  विश्वविद्यालय के एवं राजीव गांधी महाविद्यालय के छात्रों एवं छात्राएँ प्रतिभागी बने।

प्रतियोगिता दो चरणो में अायोजित की गई। ईसके प्रथम चरण, दिनांक 3.09.2016, दिन शनिवार को स्वामी विवेकानन्द के जीवन पर अाधारित पुस्तक 'तेजस्वी जीवन' पर लिखित परीक्षा राजीव गांधी महाविद्यालय (कोटसेरा महाविद्यालय) में करायी गई। तथा दुसरेे चरण के अन्तर्गत युव प्रेरणा शिविर का अायोजन दिनांक 4.09.2016, दिन रविवार को नाभा स्थित विवेकानन्द केन्द्र में किया गया। तीन धंटे के शिविर में प्रथम सत्र में परिचय तथा ज्ञानवर्धक एवं स्मृति विस्तारक खेल हुए। शिविरार्थी को तीन गणों (समूह) में विभाजित करते हुए, 'what is India?' (हम भारत को क्या समझते है?), ईस विषय पर चिंतन-मंथन हुअा। चाय के बाद के सत्र में इसी विषय को लेते हुए प्रत्येक गण के द्वारा सारगर्भित प्रस्तुतिकरण किया गया। इसके उपरांत स्वामी विवेकानन्द के जीवन के अादर्शों के माध्यम से राष्ट्रिय युवा दिवस की प्रासंगिकता को चलचित्र (Movie) के माध्यम से बाताया गया। प्रतियोगिता का सफल अयोजन राजीव गांधी महाविद्यालय के प्रधानाचार्य श्री राजा राम चौहान जी एवं दर्शन शास्त्र के प्राध्यापक श्री पंकज जी अौर विवेकानन्द केन्द्र के कार्यकर्ता के सहयोग से हुअा। प्रितयोगिता का परिणाम एवं पुरस्कार वितरण - विश्व बन्धुत्व दिवस के उपलक्ष्य में हो रहे कार्यक्रम 10-सितम्बर 2016 शनिवार मध्यान्ह के बाद  दोपहर 3.30 – 5.00  तक गेयटी थियेटर, शिमला में नागालैन्ड एवं मणिपूर के पूर्व महामहिम राज्यपालजी की उपस्थीति में होगा।

देशभक्ति पर आधारित युवा प्रेरणा शिविर संपन्न

नागपुर, अप्रैल 12 : ‘देशभक्ति फिर जगे, देश का ये प्राण है’ इस थीम पर आधारित युवा प्रेरणा शिविर में तरुणों ने अपने विद्यार्थी जीवन में देश, समाज और परिवार में अपनी भूमिका को लेकर गहन विमर्श किया।

विवेकानन्द केंद्र कन्याकुमारी, शाखा नागपुर की ओर से आयोजित इस दो दिवसीय युवा प्रेरणा शिविर में 10, 11 और 12 के विद्यार्थी सम्मिलित थे। विशेष बात यह रही कि इस शिविर का संचालन और व्यवस्था युवाओं ने किया। शिविर के उद्घाटन सत्र को संबोधित करते हुए विवेकानन्द केंद्र की नागपुर नगर प्रमुख सौ.गौरीताई खेर ने कहा कि जीवन को सही दिशा में ले जाने के लिए युवावस्था महत्वपूर्ण पड़ाव है। युवापन में ही बड़े से बड़े संकटों से लड़ा जा सकता है। इसलिए युवावस्था में खूब मेहनत करना चाहिए।

इस शिविर में 4 बौद्धिक सत्र हुए। प्रथम सत्र ‘यह अपनी भारतमाता, सम्पूर्ण विश्व की माता’ इस विषय पर बोलते हुए भारत वाणी के सम्पादक तथा शिविर प्रमुख श्री लखेश्वर चंद्रवंशी ने बताया कि भारत विश्व की प्राचीनतम राष्ट्र है। भारत की संस्कृति, धर्म की अवधारणा और गौरवशाली अतीत को अनेक उदाहरणों के माध्यम से समझाते हुए लखेश ने कहा कि भारत पुण्यभूमि है, धर्म भूमि है, वीर भूमि है, वेद भूमि है। इसलिए वाल्मीकि से लेकर कालिदास, भारतेंदु से लेकर आज तक देश के जानेमाने कवि भारत की महिमा गाते हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि सम्राट भरत अपनी मातृभूमि को माता कहते थे। यही कारण है कि भरत की भूमि को भारतमाता के रूप में जाना जाता है और युगों से भारतमाता की जय का उद्घोष इस भूमि के लोग करते आए हैं। हम सभी उन्हीं के वंशज हैं इसलिए हम भी भारत को भारतमाता कहते हैं। क्रांतिकारियों ने भारतमाता को दुर्गास्वरूप मानते हुए अपने जीवन को राष्ट्र के लिए हंसते-हंसते अर्पित कर दिया था और आज भी हमारे सुरक्षाबल मातृभूमि के सजग प्रहरी बनकर सीमा पर प्राणों की बाजी लगाकर पहरा दे रहे हैं।

द्वितीय सत्र में केंद्र की जीवनव्रती कार्यकर्ता प्रियंवदाताई पांडे ने “राष्ट्रभक्त संन्यासी स्वामी विवेकानन्द” के जीवन और सन्देश को अनेक प्रसंगों के माध्यम से शिविरार्थियों के सम्मुख रखा। उन्होंने बताया कि स्वामी विवेकानन्द ने भारत के उत्थान को अपने जीवन का मिशन बनाया था। स्वामीजी ने जहां विश्व को भारत के गौरवमय संस्कृति और इतिहास से परिचित कराया, वहीं उन्होंने भारत में कोलम्बो से अल्मोड़ा तक भ्रमण करते हुए भारत की सुप्त चेतना को जगाया।

तीसरे बौद्धिक सत्र में नागपुर महानगर पालिका के सत्ता पक्ष नेता श्री दयाशंकर तिवारी ने देशभक्ति की आवश्यकता पर जोर दिया। ‘देशभक्ति फ़िर जगे, देश का ये प्राण है’ इस विषय पर बोलते हुए तिवारी ने कहा कि आज देश में भारतमाता की जय कहने को लेकर विवाद चल रहा है, यह बहुत दुर्भाग्यपूर्ण है। उन्होंने बताया कि हमारे शैक्षिक पाठ्यक्रम में देशभक्ति की प्रेरणा जगानेवाले पाठ नहीं होते, जिसके कारण अब की युवा पीढ़ी फूहड़ता में मजा लेने को मजबूर हैं। उन्होंने उधम सिंह, खुदीराम बोस, भगतसिंह, रामप्रसाद बिस्मिल और अशफ़ाक उल्ला खां के जीवन प्रसंगों को उल्लेख कर देशभक्ति के मर्म को समझाया।

शिविर का चौथा सत्र “देश की वर्त्तमान चुनौतियां और हमारी भूमिका” पर आधारित था। इस विषय पर बोलते हुए वरिष्ठ पत्रकार श्री विराग पाचपोर ने कहा कि हम बचपन से अपनी पाठशाला में नित्य रूप से प्रतिज्ञा करते हैं कि “भारत मेरा देश है।...” पर यह केवल रटा जाता है। यदि यह प्रतिज्ञा जीवन का संकल्प बन जाता तो जेएनयु जैसे शिक्षा संसथान में भारत की बर्बादी के नारे नहीं लगते। उन्होंने कहा कि सत्ता के लोभी लोग समझते हैं कि भारत का जन्म 1947 से हुआ है, जबकि भारत का इतिहास करोड़ों वर्ष पुराना है। पाचपोर ने कहा कि भारत के बारे में भारतीयों की अज्ञानता आज के सन्दर्भ में सबसे बड़ी चुनौती है। यह अज्ञानता देश के इतिहास को गलत ढंग से पढ़ाने के कारण हुआ।

शिविर में ‘विद्यार्थी जीवन और करियर’ को लेकर कार्यशाला का आयोजन किया गया। परसिस्टन्स कंपनी में बड़े पद पर कार्यरत श्री तुषार जोशी ने कहा कि विद्यार्थी जीवन में मन के बंदर विद्यार्थी को लक्ष्य से भटकाता है। इसलिए मन को सही दिशा देने के लिए एकाग्रता और संकल्प की आवश्यकता होती है। उन्होंने कहा कि शिक्षकों का मजाक बनाकर विद्यार्थी गलत करते हैं। शिक्षकों के प्रति सम्मान और सहपाठी मित्रों में परस्पर सहयोग से ज्ञान बढ़ता है।

शिविर में योग, सूर्यनमस्कार, प्राणायाम के साथ ही दिनचर्या और मित्रता व जिम्मेदारी को लेकर शिविराथियों ने आपस में चर्चा की। शिविरार्थियों ने खेल सत्र के दौरान तितिक्षवर्धक, बलवर्धक, चापलातावर्धक तथा एकाग्रतावर्धक विविध मैदानी खेल का आनंद लिया। ‘भारत की विश्व को देन’ को लेकर मंथन किया। प्रेरणा से पुनरुत्थान सत्र में इनडोर गेम्स के साथ ही मदनलाल धींगरा-सावरकर प्रसंग तथा विवेकानन्द केंद्र के संस्थापक श्री एकनाथजी रानडे के जीवन पर आधारित वीडियो क्लिप दिखाया गया। इस सत्र में चंद्रशेखर आजाद के जीवन के प्रेरक प्रसंगों से युवाओं को अवगत कराया। शिविर में मदनलाल धींगरा-सावरकर प्रसंग और चंद्रशेखर आजाद पर आधारित नाटिका शिविरार्थियों ने प्रस्तुत किए। शिविर में कुल 16 तरुण तथा 6 युवा, ऐसे कुल 22 लोग सहभागी थे। शिविर की सफलता के लिए शिविर प्रमुख के साथ ही महेश गुप्ता, पंकज घटोड़े, वैभव जोशी, विपिन वैद्य, रोकेटसो माम, शोभाताई पितले, अरुणाताई देशपांडे आदि कार्यकर्ताओं ने महती भूमिका निभाई। 

One day youth workshop in Bilashpur

One day youth workshop was organized on the birthday of Swami Vivekananda, 31st  January (According to Hindu Calender) by Vivekananda Kendra Bilaspur.

120 selected students participated in the workshop from various collages (63 brothers+ 42 Sisters+ 15 organizing team) Guru Gasidas Central University, PGBT Clg, D.P. Vipra Clg, Science Clg, Diet Pendra, kota Clg etc.). Workshop was started with vadic prayers followed by interactive session on various subjects.

Universal Brotherhood Day Program

To commemorate Swami Vivekanand’s historical speech at the world parliament of religion on 11th September’1863 at Chicago,  Vivekananda Kendra Dibrugarh in collaboration with Lahowal college, Dibrugarh has celebrated Universal Brotherhood Day on 26th September’2015 by organizing a seminar on” Universal Brotherhood” at Lahowal College’s auditorium. The seminar was inaugurated by lightening the lamp by Sri. Jyoti Prasad Dutta, Principal of Lahowal College which was followed by  Vedic chanting by Vivekananda Kendra karyakarta before a well gathered audience where almost  all the students, teaching and non-teaching staffs attended. Welcome speech was delivered by Sri Jyoti Prasad Dutta, principal, Lahowal College. Key note address was delivered by Sri Keshabananda Haloi, of DHSK commerce college, Dibrugarh. The seminar is followed by a Arise,Awake- a Book based Written Quiz competition for the student of the college where 82 nos,of students participated.

Vivekananda Kendra, Dibrugarh organizes a inter college Wall Magazine competition within Dibrugarh district and a youth convention for college students on 15th September’2015 in connection and continuation of yearlong celebration of “Mananiya Eknathji  Janma Sati Parva”.

The inter college wall magazine competition was based on the topic of “The story of Vivekananda Rock Memorial” on which students from different colleges within Dibrugarh district participated with great enthusiasm and exhibits their creative skills in forms of poetry, articles, pictures ,sketches etc. in a very decorative fashion.  The study materials and guidance were provided to all the participants in the competition almost one month prior to the competition during college samparka by Vivekananda Kendra karyakartas.

Inaugural Ceremony: The Wall Magazine competition was inaugurated by Dr.Subharani Sarma, Prant Pramukh of Vivekananda Kendra Assam Prant by lighting the lamp followed by vedic chanting by Vivekananda Kendra karyakartas. In her inaugural speech she appreciated the entire participant for their creative skills and emphasis on importance of youth’s power and its role for nation building citing Swami Vivekanand’s confidence on youths.

Youth Convention: Wall magazine competition is followed by a vibrant youth convention with all the 100 nos of participants of the competitions. The convention begins with Tin Onkar, Vedic Chanting and patriotic song which is followed by welcome speech by Sri Ravindranath Savdekar, the principal of VKV Dibrugarh. We also conducted games sessions, creative sessions, group discussion and interactive session on “safalata and sarthakata”, concluded by a inspiring lecture session by Dr.Subharani Sarma, Prant Pramukh of Vivekananda Kendra Assam Prant. Prize distribution ceremony and judges briefing were done at the end of the convention.

Conclusion : It was very much satisfying to see the youth’s involvement in all the sessions of the convention. The way they participated, the way they maintained discipline during the sessions, the way they express their thoughts and feeling etc, it appears to be a fruitful youth convention.  To sustain this tempo further more in a purposeful way a three days residential PDC for the participants of the convention is also decided by VK Dibrugarh to be held during the month of November’2015.

Vivekananda Kendra Dibrugarh organizes written quiz competition on “Arise,Awake”  in different colleges  within Dibrugarh district to commemorate “Mananiya Eknathji Janma Sati Parva”. ACTIVITY REPORT : 2012-13 : VK UDUPI

CAMPS AND COMPETITION: 

Cultural examination conducted on Swami Vivekananda’s Life and Message at 6 colleges in Udupi District, 500 students wrote the examination.

One Day youth camp conducted at A V Baliga college of Social Works and Rural Development on June 22nd , 80 students attended. Sri Sharatchandra Kamat talked about Personality Development, songs, group discussion and games are other events in the camp.

Sthaneeya Karyakarta Prashikshana Shibir at A V Baliga College of Social works Brahmavara on 18 and 19th August. 55 karyakarata’s participated in which 24 sisters and 31 brothers from Udupi district.  Ad. Uni Didi inaugurated the shibir and talked on Ma. Ekanathji and Story of Rock Memorial. Sri Aravinda Prasad  took session on Vivekananda Kendra and Activities and 150th Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda. Intensive on Samskara Varga,  Swadhaya Varga and Yoga Varga. Mantra & Geeta Abhyasa, Karma yoga shloka sangraha, Bhajan taught to participants. At the time of Ahuti satra all; karyakarta’s took sankalpa to work for 150th birth celebration.      

One day youth camp at Shankaranarayana on 24th Januaray, 100 students from Govt college Shankaranarayana participated. Sri Ratnakara, Vidyarathi Karyakarata handled the camp.

Three Days Residential Youth Camp conducted at Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari from 17th to 19th March 2013, in which 30 students from 3 colleges participated. Sri Deepakji took the session.

Utsavas

On 12th January Vivekananda Jayanti celebrated at A V Baliga college. Essay and elocution competition arranged for the students.

Two places at Shankaranarayan (Kundapura taluk) celebrated Vivekananda Jayanti. Sri Chandra, Samskara varga pramukh talked on swamiji. Free study materials distributed to the needy students.
