Sadhana Diwas celebration at Kangra

KANGRA: November 20 -   More than 3000 students from Class IX to XII from twenty eight schools of Kangra and Mandi districts of Himachal Pradesh on November 20, 2016 coinciding with Sadhna Devas, participated in  Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) Competition organized by Vivekananda Kendra, Kanyakumari branch Kangra a spiritually oriented service mission in order to prepare these students for national level  competitions.
Dr. Naveen Sharma spokesman of  local unit of Vivekananda Kendra disclosing this here today   said that MCQ competition is being organized to sharpen the intellect of the students besides imparting them a training how to face national level competitions to shape their future. He said that this competition is a tool to bring them close to their cultural roots and national ethos Dr. Naveen said that the question paper having 200 questions of multifarious nature  in both English and Hindi is being replied by the students on OMR sheets.
He said that there were more a dozen centers in government and private schools in Kangra and Mandi districts where examinations were conducted on November 20, in one go. These centers included GAV Public School Kangra, GAV Senior secondary school Kangra, Rainbow International school Nagrota Bagwan, Green Field Senior secondary School Nagrota Bagwan, Anuradha public School Maranda Palampur, DAV Senior Secondary School Palampur, Govt. Senior Secondary School Chauntra Mandi, DAV Public School Tiara, New Era Public School Chattri Draman  and Dronacharya Post Graduate College of Education, Rait. He said that the response from the students was encouraging. Nearly 400 students from 13 private and government schools located in remote areas of Mandi district participated in MCQ in Chauntra Center.
At Chauntra senior secondary school after the examination 400 students and 33 lecturers of different schools attended Sadhna Devas and Ashok Raina Vibagh Pramukh of Himachal Vibagh threw light on the life and teachings of Ma. Eak Nath Ji Ranade.  Shri P.R. Agnihotri Nagar Sanchalak presided over the function. Forty meritorious students of all the four classes will be awarded on January 12, 2017 on the occasion of Vivekananda Jayanti in local
Polytechnic College auditorium here.
He said that free counseling facility will be provided to the meritorious students by Kendra.
Teams of supervisors from Kangra were deputed and were assisted by the local teaching staff of each school resulting in the involvement of 
more than 250 teachers from different schools in the test process. E.O.M
