Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Karnataka Prant, Chamundeshwari Devi Vibhag celebrated the Guru Purnima with devotion and enthusiasm on 26th July 2026 at Hanumanalu Karyasthan, with the participation of 118 members. The programme commenced with a graceful Invocation Dance, followed by the chanting of the Guru Shloka by the Anandalaya children, creating a devotional and inspiring atmosphere.
Smt. Shruti Didi, Vibhag Sahitya Seva Pramukh, highlighted the dedicated service rendered by the teachers who conduct regular classes in the Anandalayas situated in interior villages. She narrated the inspiring life story of Capt. Pranjal Ji and his selfless contribution to society, motivating the students by emphasizing the significance of Kargil Vijay Diwas and the values of courage, patriotism, and selfless service.
Smt. Gayatri Akka, Vibhag Amrita Parivar Pramukh, spoke about the lives and contributions of great Gurus, including Maharshi Veda Vyasa, Maharshi Valmiki, Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam, and Swami Vivekananda. She also shared inspiring examples from the Guru–Shishya tradition and explained the spiritual significance of chanting Aum in daily life.
As part of the celebration, Swami Pranavanandaji of Santhigiri Ashram and Sri Nagesh Ji, Vibhag Vyavastha Pramukh, felicitated the Anandalaya Aacharyas in recognition of their dedicated and selfless service towards the education and holistic development of children in rural areas.
The programme concluded with a deep sense of gratitude towards the Guru tradition, inspiring the participants to imbibe the ideals of selfless service, discipline, and dedication in their personal and social lives.
