Guru Purnima Celebrated with Reverence at Hanumanalu Karyasthan

Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Karnataka Prant, Chamundeshwari  Devi Vibhag celebrated the Guru Purnima with devotion and enthusiasm on 26th July 2026 at Hanumanalu Karyasthan, with the participation of 118 members. The programme commenced with a graceful Invocation Dance, followed by the chanting of the Guru Shloka by the Anandalaya children, creating a devotional and inspiring atmosphere.

Smt. Shruti Didi, Vibhag Sahitya Seva Pramukh, highlighted the dedicated service rendered by the teachers who conduct regular classes in the Anandalayas situated in interior villages. She narrated the inspiring life story of Capt. Pranjal Ji and his selfless contribution to society, motivating the students by emphasizing the significance of Kargil Vijay Diwas and the values of courage, patriotism, and selfless service.

Smt. Gayatri Akka, Vibhag Amrita Parivar Pramukh, spoke about the lives and contributions of great Gurus, including Maharshi Veda Vyasa, Maharshi Valmiki, Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam, and Swami Vivekananda. She also shared inspiring examples from the Guru–Shishya tradition and explained the spiritual significance of chanting Aum in daily life.

As part of the celebration, Swami Pranavanandaji of Santhigiri Ashram and Sri Nagesh Ji, Vibhag Vyavastha Pramukh, felicitated the Anandalaya Aacharyas in recognition of their dedicated and selfless service towards the education and holistic development of children in rural areas.

The programme concluded with a deep sense of gratitude towards the Guru tradition, inspiring the participants to imbibe the ideals of selfless service, discipline, and dedication in their personal and social lives.

Guru Purnima - Patliputra Vibhag

 

विवेकानन्द केन्द्र कन्याकुमारी, शाखा-पटना द्वारा दिनांक 13 जुलाई 2025 को गुरु पूर्णिमा उत्सव का भव्य आयोजन केन्द्र कार्यालय, पाटलिपुत्र कॉलोनी में किया गया। कार्यक्रम की शुरुआत श्रद्धा भरे गुरुभजन से हुई। तत्पश्चात नगर संचालिका शिखा दीदी ने उत्सव परिचय देते हुए बताया कि गुरु पूर्णिमा केन्द्र के पाँच प्रमुख उत्सवों में से एक है, जिसे प्रतिवर्ष श्रद्धा और भक्ति के साथ मनाया जाता है। विवेकानन्द केन्द्र में "ॐ" को गुरु के रूप में माना गया है।

कार्यक्रम के मुख्य वक्ता श्री रंजीत सिन्हा जी, सहायक महाप्रबंधक, नाबार्ड (आरा) ने अपने प्रेरणादायी उद्बोधन में कहा कि बिना गुरु के जीवन कभी भी सार्थक नहीं हो सकता। उन्होंने कहा कि स्वयं को श्रेष्ठ साधन बनाना, दूसरों में अच्छाइयों को देखना तथा उसे निखारना ही हमारे लिए लाभकारी साधना है। अपने कर्तव्यों का पूर्ण रूप से निर्वहन करना ही गुरु के प्रति सच्ची गुरुदक्षिणा है।

कार्यक्रम का धन्यवाद ज्ञापन श्री ओमरंजन जी, सह नगर संचालक ने किया। इस आयोजन में नगर एवं प्रान्त के वरिष्ठ कार्यकर्ताओं की उपस्थिति रही, जिससे कार्यक्रम की गरिमा और बढ़ी।

गोधरा कार्यस्थान में गुरु पूर्णिमा पर्व

 

विवेकानन्द केन्द्र कन्याकुमारी, गोधरा कार्यस्थान द्वारा 10 जुलाई 2025 को गुरु पूर्णिमा के पावन अवसर पर एक श्रद्धामय गुरु पूजन कार्यक्रम का आयोजन किया गया।

कार्यक्रम की शुरुआत गुरुभजनों से हुई, तत्पश्चात सभी प्रतिभागियों ने 11 बार ॐ का जप कर आध्यात्मिक ऊर्जा का अनुभव किया। पुष्पांजलि अर्पण के माध्यम से गुरुतत्त्व के प्रति श्रद्धा प्रकट की गई।

कार्यक्रम में माननीय निवेदिता दीदी के प्रेरणादायी पत्र का वाचन किया गया, जिसमें गुरु पूर्णिमा के आध्यात्मिक महत्व को रेखांकित किया गया था। इसके बाद आदरणीय भरतविवेक जी ने उपस्थित कार्यकर्ताओं एवं बालकों को सारगर्भित मार्गदर्शन प्रदान किया।

इस अवसर पर कार्यस्थान संयोजक श्री रोशन भाई ने आगामी कार्यक्रमों की जानकारी भी सभी को दी, जिससे कार्यकर्ताओं में उत्साह की भावना जागृत हुई।

कार्यक्रम में संस्कार वर्ग के बच्चे और कार्यकर्ता परिवार की सहभागिता रही। कुल 25 लोग उपस्थित थे जिन्होंने श्रद्धा और एकाग्रता से इस कार्यक्रम को सफल बनाया।

Gurupurnima at Thiruvananthapuram

Gurupurnima is one of the five Utsavas celebrated in Vivekananda Kendra. In Kendra, Omkara is revered as the Guru, and Gurupurnima is celebrated grandly by all branch centers and projects of Vivekananda Kendra across Bharat.

Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Kerala Prant, Thiruvananthapuram branch, observed Gurupurnima on 6th July 2025 at Kendra Karyalaya in Chitra Nagar with devotion and spiritual fervour. A total of 25 people attended the event.

The programme began with three Omkars and Shanti Path, followed by collective chanting of the Gurustotram and bhajans in lead-and-follow style. Adarneeya Shri Aji Kumar ji addressed the gathering, emphasizing the significance of Gurupurnima and the noble work of Bhagavan Veda Vyasa.

He also reflected on the lives and messages of Swami Vivekananda and Shri Ramakrishna, stating that all Gurus guide us toward realizing our inner divinity. He highlighted Swami Vivekananda's vision of establishing Omkara temples across the nation and remarked that Vivekananda Kendra is striving to fulfil that vision. He concluded his inspiring talk with an appeal to all present to actively participate in Kendra’s activities.

The celebration concluded with Pushparpanam, chanting of the Shanti Mantra, and distribution of Prasad.

Guru Purnima - Madurai

Vivekananda Kendra Madurai had celebrated Guru Purnima on 23rd July 2022 at Balaji Nagar. There were 96 people had participated in this celebration.

Guru Purnima - Shimla

आज विवेकानंद केंद्र कन्याकुमारी शाखा शिमला द्वारा गुरु पूर्णिमा का तीसरा कार्यक्रम हिमाचल प्रदेश कॉलेज ऑफ एजुकेशन मैं किया गया. इस कॉलेज में 200 स्टूडेंट बीएड प्रशिक्षु प्रशिक्षण प्राप्त कर रहे हैं इस कार्यक्रम में सभी प्रशिक्षु तथा अध्यापक उपस्थित रहे साथ ही साथ इस गुरु पूर्णिमा के कार्यक्रम में माननीय निवेदिता दीदी के द्वारा गुरु पूर्णिमा पर जो पत्र भेजा गया था उसको पढ़ा गया. इस कार्यक्रम के मुख्य अतिथि ललित जैन जी आईएएस 2011 हिमाचल कैडर है वर्तमान में वह हिमाचल प्रदेश साइंस एंड टेक्नोलॉजी विभाग के निदेशक के रूप में कार्य कर रहे हैं साथ ही साथ इस कार्यक्रम में एनवायरनमेंट साइंस विभाग के वैज्ञानिक डॉक्टर रवि शर्मा जी भी इस कार्यक्रम में उपस्थित रहे. इसके साथ कॉलेज प्रबंधन के साथ स्टडी सर्कल को लेते हुए बात हुई और जल्द ही शुरू करने वाले हैं.

Guru Purnima - Patna

दिनांक 13 जुलाई 2022 (बुधवार) को विवेकानन्द केन्द्र शाखा-पटना द्वारा 'गुरु पूर्णिमा' सह 'मातृ पूजन' कार्यक्रम का आयोजन किया गया जिसके मुख्य अतिथि श्री अजीत मिश्रा, सहायक महाप्रबंधक (सेवानिवृत्त) एस.बी.आई. बैंक रहें, जिन्होंने बताया कि गुरु पूर्णिमा वेद व्यास के जन्मदिन के अवसर पर मनाया जाता है। वेद व्यास ने वेद की लिखित रचना की तथा भगवान श्री गणेश की प्रेणना से वेद को 18 पुराणों में बाँटा और एक लाख श्लोकों से महाभारत की रचना किया। वेद में सबकुछ निहित है जैसे गणित, विज्ञान, कला, ज्ञान इत्यादि। भारत अपने ज्ञान के लिए दुनिया में विख्यात रहा है, यहाँ सबसे प्राचीन विश्व विद्यालय और अखंड ज्ञान ज्योति रही। नालंदा, विक्रमशिला विश्वविद्यालय इसके जागृत उदाहरण है।

गुरुस्तोत्र के बाद बच्चों द्वारा अपने माताओं के विधिवत पूजन किया गया और माँ के महत्व को भी बताया गया और अपने पुरातन संस्कार से अवगत कराया गया। राजीव नगर से आएँ हुए सभी बच्चे प्रायः संस्कार वर्ग के विद्यार्थी थे जो अपनी माँ के साथ उपस्थित हुएँ। मातृपूजन के बाद 2-3 गुरु भजन भी गाया गया फिर पुष्पांजलि करते हुए एक सकारात्मक संकल्प बच्चों को दिलाया गया। शान्ति मन्त्र के साथ कार्यक्रम का समापन हुआ तदोपरान्त प्रसाद वितरण आदि हुआ।

इस कार्यक्रम में प्रमुखत: दायित्ववान कार्यकर्ता सुधीर अम्बष्ठ प्रान्त प्रमुख, ज्ञानेश्वर शर्मा प्रान्त सह व्यवस्था प्रमुख, शिखा सिंह परमार संचालक, सुलेखा बहन कार्यपद्धति प्रमुख अन्य कार्यकर्ता रूपादी, आदित्यभाई, सुभाषिनी दीदी, मंजूदी, अरविन्द बाबू समेत 33 लोग उपस्थित रहें जिनके सहयोग से नगर स्तरीय यह कार्यक्रम सफल हुआ।

Guru Purnima Celebrated - Sarojini Nagar - Chanakya Puri - New Delhi

 Guru Purnima was celebrated on 24th July 2021, Saturday, in Sarojini Nagar Railway Colony by Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Chanakya Puri vistar. The event coincided with the 10 days camp which was in action at the same time. The camp was coordinated by Nikhil Yadav, Prant Yuva Pramukh, Vivekananda Kendra Uttar Prant. After the usual customary, students were seated in a uniformed way for an interesting interaction with Dr. Ananya Awasthi , also a volunteer at Vivekananda Kendra. The formal discourse was truly inspiring for the young age and gave them a platform to share their views and learn new deeds from the real life incidences of Ananya didi.This was attended by 70 participants. Simultaneously another conversation was in motion which had involvement of parents. Our Uttar Prant Sangathak Mananiye Manas Bhattacharjee ji was out chief speaker. The significance of the role of gadgets in a Childs life and how parents ignore this crucial subject was broadly brought to the everyones attention. Mother in every children's life is the first and the foremost guru. The talking points were specific and were recognized by every parent in the room. The event was concluded with a formal ceremony of tribute to our gurus by offering flowers and distribution of Prasadam. Total presence was 80. The essence of Guru Purnima was sustained in a corona safe manner.

Guru Poornima Programme by Vivekananda Kendra Prakashan Trust Chennai

 Vivekananda Kendra Prakashan Trust, Chennai had orgnanised Guru Poornima Programme on 25th July 2021 from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm. This programme also had an online option via zoom. VKPT karyakarthas, yoga satra and varga participants, SATYAM project participants attended the programme. The total no. of participants was 47 (including online and offline).

We had two special guests Ma. Susri. Gayathri Didi, our life worker and administrative officer of VKPT and Shri. Sudarshan, our Senior Karyakartha. Shri. Sudarshan spoke on the challenges faced by Sanatana Dharma today. He also included how Guru Parampara has been continuing till date. Ma. Gayathri didi spoke about Maa Sarada Devi and quoted life experiences of how Guru knows what to be given to each disciple at the appropriate time.

With the enlightening speeches, Vivekananda Kendra  Patrika on Bhagavad Gita Part 2 book was released in the programme by Ma. Gayathri Didi and the first copy was received by Prof. Shantha. Other recipients of the book were Sri. Raghav Shastri, Writer, Shri. Sankara Narayanan Ji, one of our well-wishers and Shri. Sudharshan.

The gist of Chief Guest Talks:

Swami Ji Ekagamyanandaji Maharaj spoke about the importance of Guru parampara and How human beings are the most beneficiary creature. Swami Ji also spoke about Guru shishya relationship with small stories of Sri Ramkrishna Parmahamsa and Swami Vivekananda where Swami Vivekananda ji was always testing his guru Sri Ramakrishna Parmahamsa and Sri Ramakrishna was appreciative of the tests.

Ma. Hanumanth Rao Ji spoke about Maharishi Veda Vyasa and His work .Also briefly explained how Vyasa Created the system to Preserve the Knowledge and how bhartiyas has preserved and transmitted the knowledge revealed by maharishis. Ma. Hanu ji also spoke about how human life should be purposeful and not only successful. One should work to make life Purposeful.

Thank you all the Karyakartas to make this event successful and Purposeful by spreading the awareness on importance of Gurupurnima.

Guru Poornima Celebrations-VKV Kallubalu

 On 24.7.2021 Saturday Guru Purnima was celebrated at Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya - Kallubalu.
Children performed cultural activities like Dance, drama, shloka chanting, speech on the importance of Guru. Chief Guest  Sri Raghavendra Muilya- Sr Manager, Bosch Ltd Bengaluru. Spoke on the importance of Guru. Prizes were distributed for the winners in different competitions. Total attended  98.

Guru Purnima Utsav Celebration by Paschimbanga Prant , Bangla Prakasan Vibhag

 A Discourse session was organised by Bangla Prakashan Bibhag, Vivekananda Kendra, Paschim Banga Pranta on the occasion of Gurupurnima on 25th July.

The program was held online. It started with Shantipath by Anuradha Das. After that Sri Dipten Chatterjee from Kamarpukur presented Staba and Gurubandana.
Introductory lecture was presented by Dr. Purnendu Shekhar Das (Retired Principal, Tinsukia Commerce College). Dr. Das etched a picture of the 'Rishis' of ancient India,their types , their characteristics.He spoke about saptarishi, maharshi Vyas, maharshi Balmiki and so on.

The Chief Speaker  was Swami Prabuddhananda Maharaj  (Principal Ramkrishna Vivekananda Mission, Joyrambati, Bankura). In a very simple language Swami ji enumerated the importance of a Guru in our life. A Guru is very important to guide us in our journey of life. But we have to select our Guru cautiously. The disciple has to be mentally prepared  to accept his Guru. Psychologically he has to  prepare himself, otherwise his diksha would be futile. Once we meet our Guru, we should consider him as the pole star of our life. Only then our spiritual enlightenment would be possible. In a very lucid manner Swami ji discussed this .

The program came to an end with shanti mantra. The whole program was conducted by Mitali Dutta.
