Inter school competition in Nagpur

"Mein Vivekanand bol Raha hu" sandesh pathan competition was organized by Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Branch Nagpur. In this inter school competition 386 students of 27 schools participated. Children had to learn Swami Vivekananda's thought and deliver them. Many children were dressed as Swamiji and confidently delivered there thought. It was a difficult task for the judges to do selection. 160 among them were selected for the final round which was on 19/8/2015. Out of these 160 participants, 27 were declared winners. The competition was held in three languages Hindi, Marathi and English. There were three groups. Group 1 from class 3 to 5, Group 2 for classes 6th and 7th and Group 3 for 8th and 9th standard children. All the 386 participating students were given certificates.

A one day camp was organized on 23/8/2015 for the final round students. 130 students out of 160 participated in this camp held in Ahilya Mandir, Rashtra Sevika Samiti, Dhantoli, Nagpur. The one day camp was divided into three sessions.

In the first session Kum.Sai Deshpande a sthanik karyakarta told the story of "Narendra to Vivekanand". She highlighted various qualities of young Narendra and gave wonderful and motivation examples telling children how they can imbibe these qualities among themselves. The love for his motherland, his devotion towards his guru, how he could see divinity in all human irrespective of class and creed and his transformation as vivekanand. She emphasised how powerful thoughts of Swamiji are relevant in todays world. She also told them about mission 2020 and there responsibility to make this mission 2020 successful. She also made children to take a small oath that they will love and respect their country and strive to be good citizens.

The second session was conducted by Shri.Roketso Mam. Importance of 'Ka' 'Kha' 'Ga'. Kahani, Khel and Geet was told to them. In this fun fillied session children sang Action songs and played many games teaching them team work, discipline and concentration. Samskar Varga Karyakartas Master Ashwin Iyangar, Ku.Nandini Bagadia, Ku.Shruti Tol, Ku.Ishita Agrawal and Ku.Vaidehi Pathak took efforts to make this session interesting and lively.

A much awaited 3rd and last session of the camp was the prize distribution. Parents were also invited for this session. The chief guest Sou.Medha Tai Nandedkar (Baudhik Pramukh of Rashtra Sevika Samiti) delivered her speech telling children the qualities of a good orator. Kendra parachay and information about various activities was given by Shri.Vaibhav Joshi (Nagar Samskar Varga Pramukh).

The prizes were distributed to winners by Sou.Gauri Tai Kher (Nagar Pramukh) and Sou.Medha Tai. Sou.Nilima Bhave compered this session. The names of the prize winners are

Sou. GeetaTai Kelkar who lead this event proposed the vote of thanks. Team of Nagpur kendra karyakartas worked hard to make this event successful.
