SAMARTH BHARAT PARVA CELEBRATION IN ODISHA


Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari Brahmapur branch took up LOVE INDIA campaign on the occasion of Samarth Bharat Parva – Vivekananda Jayanti. Following are the details of the programmes held under the aegis of LOVE INDIA campaign.

1)Sahitya Seva – 3/1/2015 - A book stall was held on Brahmapur Railway Station from 7 am to 7 pm.  Ramkarishna- Vivekananda Literature, Vivekananda Kendra publications, Novelties were sold to common people.  270 persons including porters, auto drivers, station staff and passengers visited stall and purchased the literature. The stall was opened and closed with Vande Mataram.

2)Vidyalaya re Vivekananda – 6/1/2015 – A program was organised in Maa Sarswaati Shishu Vidya Mandir, Shivananda Nagar. Some Games, a song was followed by a story telling session on Swami Vivekananda’s life and message. Sanskar Varga was also introduced to students. 450 students attended the program.

8/1/2015 – Similar program was organised in Om Public School, Brahma Nagar. 154 students attended it.
3)Pitha Making Competition – 7/1/2015 – A Kakara Pitha (Traditional Odia Sweet) making competition was organised to involve mothers and sisters. 15 sisters participated and total 29 persons attended the function.

4)Path Prant Natika (Skit) – 9/1/2015 – A road show was organised near Utkal Spectrum Prabhakar Residency (Old Utkal Cinema Square).  The program started with Jayaghosh followed by song – Bhuvan Mandale..., a Skit – SAMAJ was presented by Kendra Karyakartas followed by Vande Mataram. Nearly 100 persons attended the functions.

5)Public Quiz – 10/1/2015 – a Public Quiz on Bharatiya Samskriti and Itihas (Indian Culture and History) was organised at Siddhi Vinayak Temple, Hill Patna. 25 questions were asked to common people and prizes were given on the spot. 86 persons attended the quiz.

6)Simhanad Competition – 11/1/2015 – A competition of reading out Swami Vivekananda’s quotes behind the curtains. 41 college youth participated in the competition. 

7)Vivek Sandesh – 11/1/2015 – Arise! Awake! Exhibition was displayed at Swami Vivekananda Hostel, Khallikote College. 50 sisters saw exhibition and sent 67 Vivek Sandesh letters to their relatives .

8)Pushpanjali – 12/1/2015 – A pushpanjali karyakram was organised at S.B. R. women’s college hostel. 94 sisters attended the program.

9)Youth Interaction – 12/1/2015 -  A youth interaction program was at BBA department of Khallikote College. 29 youth participated in the interaction.

10)Concluding Program – 12/1/2015 -  A public function was organised on the occasion of Vivekananda Jayanti. Shri. Sudhir Kumar Raut, Director, Aryabhatt Institute was chief guest on the occasion.  This was the concluding program of LOVE INDIA campaign. Prizes of different competitions were also distributed in the function. Dr. Gopal Krishna Panigrahy, Nagar Pramukh, VK Brahmapur, introduced Kendra activities to the audience. 110 youth and general public attended the function.
