ELOCUTION COMPETITION AT WOKHA IN NAGALEND

An Elocution Competition was organized at Don Bosco Higher Secondary School in Wokha, Nagaland by Vivekananda Kendra on 28th of November 2014 which is a part of the series of activities, planned to be conducted to commemorate the Birth Centenary of Mananeeya Eknathji Ranade From 19th November 2014 November to 19th November 2015 November.

Programme was started with an invocation by Father Mathew C.J.(Principle of the school). He was felicitated by Sri Kalyan Deka (Teacher of Vivekananda Kendra Vidhyalaya, Doyang). A brief speech was delivered by Smt. Mala Roya Talukdar (Teacher of Vivekananda Kendra Vidhyalaya, Doyang) explaining the purpose of the programme.Twenty students who represented different schools and colleges participated in the competition. Everyone was well prepared and the oratory skill of each speaker genuinely deserves appreciation. The judges who came from the local colleges, the authority of Don Bosco School and the students expressed their gratitude to Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya (NEEPCO) Doyang for conducting such intellectual programme. They also expressed their desire to participate in any skill development programme. The competition was summed up by one of the judges with some tips of becoming a successful orator.
