World Environment Day Celebration by VKV Kallubalu

Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Kallubalu (in Karnataka Prant) celebrated the World Environment Day at the PT Usha Ground on Friday, June 5, 2026. The event aimed to create robust awareness about environmental protection and saw an enthusiastic participation of 320 attendees, including 290 students and 30 staff members.

The event was graced by esteemed guests, including Chief Guest Smt. Rajashree Didi, alongside Sri Virupaksha ji and Mananeeya Pranati Didi. In her address, Smt. Rajashree Didi emphasized practical eco-friendly habits such as avoiding plastic, segregating waste, and practicing the principles of reusing and recycling. Echoing her sentiments, Sri Virupaksha ji and Mananeeya Pranati Didi spoke passionately about the importance of individual accountability and active nature conservation.

The celebration featured vibrant student performances, including an inspiring geet (song), Vivekavani, and an impactful skit that highlighted the necessity of integrating environmental conservation into daily life.

The meaningful program concluded on a proactive note with a sapling plantation drive led by the guests, teachers, and students, followed by a collective pledge dedicated to maintaining a clean and green planet.
