Medical Camps in North-East India

Vivekananda Kendra, Assam Prant recently organized a few medical camps in the tea garden areas of Dibrugarh and Tinsukia districts. Four camps were organized in Tinsukia(Dirial, Gate Chariali, Jungle Basti and Borjan) and two(Pathalibam, Tingrai Balijan) camps were organized in Dibrugarh districts. 614 patients were examined in the camp and medicines were distributed. Dr.Prema S. a General Practitioner from Mumbai came voluntarily to render the service to the poor and needy. The mobile medical van team of Vivekananda Kendra Arun Jyoti also got involved in these camps. It is to be mentioned that Dr.Prema visited Tirap and Changlang districts of Arunachal Pradesh and conducted nine camps there, where 547 patients were got the benefits.
