International Day of Yoga 2026 celebrated at GLPS in Vemballur

On the occasion of the 12th International Day of Yoga, Vivekananda Kendra Vedic Vision Foundation, Kodungallur (Keralam Prant) organized a Yoga for Kids programme on 22nd June 2026 at GLPS (P), Vemballur, Thrissur, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. The programme witnessed the enthusiastic participation of 45 students. 

Led by Kendra Karyakarta Ms. Jayalakshmi Chechi, the primary objective of the program was to introduce young minds to the joy and long-term benefits of yoga using an interactive, playful, and age-appropriate approach.

Ms. Jayalakshmi Chechi guided the children through a well-rounded routine featuring dynamic warm-up exercises, foundational yogasanas, gentle pranayama, and calming relaxation techniques.

Designed specifically for young learners, the session combined these practices with engaging, yoga-based activities that sustained high energy and excitement. The children participated with immense eagerness throughout the event.

The program concluded with a making a resounding success that sowed the seeds for a healthy, mindful lifestyle from an early age.

On the occasion of International Day of Yoga 2026, the Vivekananda Kendra Vedic Vision Foundation, Kodungallur (Keralam Prant), organized a vibrant Yoga for Kids program at MES FR LP & UP School, Vekode, Vemballur. Held on 22nd June, 2026, from 09:30 AM to 10:30 AM, the session witnessed the enthusiastic participation of 160 young students who brought immense life, interest, and positive energy to the gathering.

The program was beautifully conducted by Kendra Karyakarta, Ms. Jayalakshmi Chechi, who masterfully tailored the practice to suit the needs of young learners.

The well-structured session featured gentle loosening exercises to warm up, followed by a series of foundational yogasanas that promote flexibility and balance, simple pranayama to improve concentration, and soothing relaxation techniques to calm the mind.

To keep the children deeply engaged, Jayalakshmi Chechi seamlessly integrated playful, fun-filled yoga activities that made the entire experience both educational and highly enjoyable.

The event concluded with a gentle reminder of the lifelong benefits of incorporating yoga into daily routines, emphasizing how nurturing healthy mental and physical habits from an early age builds a strong foundation for a bright and balanced future.
