4th International Yoga Day celebrated at Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Itanagar with great enthusiasm. Shri.Pankaj Kumar conducted a meditation session in the morning and helped students learn the positive impacts of meditation and understand the benefits of yoga. All the classes participated in yoga activities. The logo for International Day for Yoga was explained which stated –
Folding of both hands in the logo Symbolize Yoga, the union, which reflects the union of individual consciousness with that of universal consciousness, a perfect harmony between mind & body, man & nature; a holistic approach to health & wellbeing.
The logo reflects harmony and peace for humanity, which is the essence of Yoga.
The students performed yogic exercises and ‘pranayam’ to celebrate this day.
