Swami Vivekananda Jayanti and National Youth Day at RT Nagar

Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Karnataka Prant, R.T. Nagar Nagarsthan celebrated Swami Vivekananda Jayanti and National Youth Day with great devotion and enthusiasm at R.J. Public School, Cunningham Road on 12th January 2026. The program witnessed the participation of 203 students, 17 teachers, and one karyakarta, making a total of 221 attendees.

The event commenced with a prayer, creating a serene and spiritual atmosphere. Shri Bharath Ji then addressed the gathering, introducing the mission and vision of Vivekananda Kendra, which is deeply inspired by the life and teachings of Swami Vivekananda ji. His words highlighted the importance of imbibing Vivekananda’s values in daily life. Following this, a student narrated Viveka Vani and explained its meaning, emphasizing the timeless messages of Swami Vivekananda that continue to inspire generations.

To engage the students creatively, a drawing competition was organized, where participants expressed their ideas with enthusiasm and imagination. Additionally, Shri Bharath Ji conducted a quiz based on the life and teachings of Swami Vivekananda, which saw active participation and showcased the students’ knowledge and interest in Swamiji’s philosophy. Adding vibrancy to the celebration, some children came dressed as Swami Vivekananda, symbolizing his inspiring personality and ideals.

The program concluded with the chanting of the Shanti Mantra led by Shri Bharath Ji, leaving the audience with a sense of peace, inspiration, and renewed commitment to the values of Swami Vivekananda.

Swami Vivekananda Jayanti - National Youth Day celebration at Hebbal

Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Karnataka Prant, Hebbal Branch organized the Swami Vivekananda Jayanti & National Youth Day celebration on 11th January 2026, from 5.00 p.m. to 9.00 p.m., at Sunrise School, Hebbal Kempapura. The program was conducted with the active involvement of 25 karyakartas and witnessed the enthusiastic participation of nearly 600 participants, making it a large-scale and impactful celebration.

Extensive planning was undertaken over several weeks to ensure smooth execution of the event. Karyakartas reached the venue a day in advance and again on the morning of the program to finalize arrangements and ensure readiness in all aspects.

The program was graced by eminent chief guests Mananeeya Kum. Nivedita Bhide Didi, Padma Shri awardee and All India Vice President of Vivekananda Rock Memorial and Vivekananda Kendra; Dr. Vijayalakshmi Deshamane Ji, Padma Shri awardee and eminent oncologist; and Smt. Shakunthala Bhandarkar Ji, Co-Founder and Director of the Metamorphes Foundation. The event commenced with the Shanti Pat, followed by Vande Mataram song and the ceremonial lighting of the lamp. Shri A. P. Prasad Ji, Karnataka Prant Pramukh, delivered the welcome address.

The cultural segment featured a series of performances including an invocation song by students of Nachiketa Samskaravarga, Bharatanatyam by Anjali Nrithyalaya, a Yoga Dance, the song Amrit Parivar, and a skit depicting the life of Swami Vivekananda. Shri Chandrasekhar Tejaswi Anna, Hebbal Nagar Pramukh, introduced Vivekananda Kendra and presented the annual report of VK Hebbal activities, followed by a Kathak dance performance.

The keynote address was delivered by Smt. Shakunthala Bhandarkar Ji, who shared an inspiring video on the life of her husband, Late Lt. Col. Ajit V. Bhandarkar, Shaurya Chakra awardee. She spoke about her personal journey, the challenges she faced, and her efforts to support and inspire others through the Metamorphes Foundation.

The program continued with a yoga dance by Nachiketa Samskara Varga students, the song Bharata Nariyara Thanda, and a skit titled Andu Indu, effectively portraying cultural transitions between earlier and present generations. This was followed by Kolkali by the Samanvaya team and Bharatanatyam by students of Gowri Nrithyalaya.

In her address, Mananeeya Nivedita Didi reflected on the lives and ideals of Swami Vivekananda and Eknathji, emphasizing their relevance in contemporary times and highlighting the crucial role of youth power in nation-building.

The cultural segment continued with Yoga Formations, Kolatta dance, the song Murtha Maheshwara, a Yoga Dance, and Thiruvathira Dance by the Samanvaya team, with a challenging yoga formation drawing special appreciation from the audience.

The concluding address was delivered by Dr. Vijayalakshmi Deshamane Ji, who shared insights from her life journey and emphasized the practical relevance of Swami Vivekananda’s message in daily life. Scholarships were distributed to deserving and needy students, adding a meaningful dimension to the celebration.

The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Sitalakshmi Ji, followed by the Shanti Mantra. Dinner prasad was arranged for all participants, and the event concluded successfully with the participation of nearly 600 attendees, leaving a lasting impression on the audience.

National Youth Day and School’s Annual Day Celebration at VKV Vallioor

Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Tamil Nadu Prant, Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Vallioor (VKV-Vallioor), celebrated Swami Vivekananda Jayanti, National Youth Day, and the Annual Day – 2026 on 12th January 2026 at the school premises. The programme was conducted in a grand and well-organized manner and witnessed the participation of 1,120 participants, including students,teachers, parents, and invitees, of whom nearly 800 parents were present.

The function commenced at 5.30 p.m. with a prayer song rendered by the school choir, followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries on the dais. The programme was presided over by the Chief Guest, Yateswari Neelakanda Amba, Secretary of Saradha Schools, Tirunelveli. Sri Ayyappan Ji, Secretary, RDP, Vivekananda Kendra, Kanyakumari, graced the occasion as the Special Guest. The dignitaries were warmly received by the reception committee along with Sri S. K. Subramanian Ji, Correspondent, and Smt. S. Esakkiammal @ Devi, Principal of the school.

Miss Nisha, a teacher of the school, formally welcomed the gathering, after which the Principal, Smt. S. Esakkiammal, presented the extended annual report highlighting the academic, co-curricular, and value-based activities of the institution. The Chief Guest delivered the presidential address, inspiring the gathering with her words, followed by a felicitatory address by Sri Ayyappan Ji. Merit awardees, sports achievers, and E.A. toppers were honoured by the dignitaries on the dais, acknowledging the students’ all-round excellence.

A vibrant and colourful cultural programme followed, beginning with Bharatanatyam and continuing with a variety of performances. A special Villupattu presented by the students effectively conveyed the message of Vivekananda Kendra’s service activities to society. The cultural segment also included a thought-provoking mime, an engaging English drama, a devotional Tamil drama, and charming performances by the KG and Class I students, all of which were warmly appreciated by the audience.

Refreshments were arranged for all parents and students. Smt. Kowsalya, a teacher of the school, delivered the vote of thanks. The programme concluded with the Kendra Prarthana. Transportation arrangements were made for parents and teachers to ensure their safe return.

National Youth Day - Patna

01 जनवरी 2023 को विवेकानन्द केन्द्र प्रान्त कार्यालय पाटलिपुत्र में नगर समिति सदस्य और अन्य कार्यकर्ताओं ने मिलकर 'कल्प तरु' दिवस के उपलक्ष्य में भजन संध्या का आयोजन किया। इस अवसर पर प्रान्त संगठक श्री मुकेश भैया ने ठाकुर रामकृष्णपरमहंस जी के जीवन और उनकी आध्यात्मिक साधनाओं पर प्रकाश डाला। बाद में, 12 जनवरी 2023 को स्वामी विवेकानन्द जयंती के उपलक्ष में राष्ट्रीय युवा दिवस का आयोजन पटना शहर के विभिन्न स्थानों पर किया गया। श्री अरविंद महिला महाविद्यालय में कार्यक्रम के मुख्य अतिथि शिखा सिंह परमार एवं अध्यक्षा प्रभारी प्राचार्य डॉ. अंजलि प्रसाद जी रहीं। सभागार में उपस्थित छात्राओं को संबोधित करते हुए शिखा दीदी ने बोला कि हमें स्वामी विवेकानन्द जी के आदर्शों के अनुकूल धैर्यवान, चरित्रवान बलशाली और नेतृत्व करने वाले युवा बनकर अपने जीवन को सार्थक करना चाहिए। विवेकानन्द केन्द्र कार्यालय पाटलिपुत्र के पास ही दो जगह पर स्वामी जी के तस्वीर पर माल्यार्पण और पुष्पांजलि की गई जिसमें स्थानीय निवासी तथा राहगीरों ने भी पुष्प अर्पण करते हुए स्वामी जी के प्रति अपनी श्रद्धा प्रकट की। केन्द्र कार्यकर्ता श्री अशोक जी और श्रीमती सुभाषिनी दीदी ने संचालन करते हुए स्वामी जी के बारे में संक्षिप्त जानकारी दी। 
     
पाटलिपुत्र स्थित नवीन राजकीय पॉलिटेक्निक कॉलेज के संयुक्त तत्वावधान में युवा दिवस मनाया गया जहाँ कार्यक्रम की अध्यक्षता डॉ. आर.एन. सिंह जी और समन्वय रोमा रानी दीदी ने किया। आईटी के विद्यार्थियों ने परिश्रम से स्वामी विवेकानन्द जी का फोटो और पीपीटी डिजाइन किया। मुख्य वक्ता के रूप में श्री शिव कुमार प्रसाद सिंह, केन्द्र कार्यकर्ता, प्रांत साहित्य प्रमुख विवेकानन्द जी के संपूर्ण जीवन पर संक्षिप्त में प्रकाश डालते हुए विद्यार्थियों को उनके जैसा बनने के लिए प्रेरित किया। अतिथि के रूप में केंद्र कार्यकर्ता श्री विवेकानन्द मिश्रा, रीता दीदी और कविता दीदी उपस्थित रहें। ज्ञात हो कि विवेकानन्द केन्द्र बिहार-झारखण्ड प्रान्त की ओर से 2 महीनों के लिए 'युवा नेतृत्व विकास अभियान' का आयोजन किया गया था। उसी शिविर के कुछ युवाओं ने योजनाबद्ध रूप से विवेकानन्द जयंती कार्यक्रम का आयोजन किया। राष्ट्रीय गीत, विवेकवाणी से वहाँ उपस्थित लोगों में देशभक्ति भावना का संचार हुआ। अभियान के चयनित युवाओं को उस दिन गंगा देवी महिला महाविद्यालय ,जानकी देवी महिला कॉलेज, कॉलेज ऑफ कॉमर्स आर्ट्स एण्ड साइंस समेत अन्य कई कॉलेजो में प्रमाण पत्र का वितरण किया गया।

उसी प्रकार से 17 जनवरी को पाटलिपुत्र स्थित 'टूल रूम ट्रेनिंग सेन्टर' में विवेकानन्द जयन्ती मनायी गयी। इस उपलक्ष्य वैसे प्रतिभागियों को प्रमाणपत्र वितरण किया गया जो 'युवा नेतृत्व विकास अभियान' के तहत एक दिवसीय कार्यशाला में शामिल गत माह शामिल हुए थे। कार्यक्रम की शुरुआत और संचालन श्री अशोक कुमार, कार्यालय प्रमुख, विवेकानन्द केन्द्र पटना ने किया। पुष्पांजलि के बाद श्री विनोद सर ने अध्यक्षीय भाषण दिया। एक राष्ट्रभक्ति गीत के बाद मुख्य वक्ता का उद्बोधन हुआ। पटना केन्द्र की नगर संचालक शिखा सिंह परमार दीदी ने युवाओं को संबोधित करते हुए कहा कि विवेकानन्द जी की दृष्टि से 3 प्रकार की शिक्षा की जरूरत है। उसमें से यह कौशल-प्रबंधकीय शिक्षा भी बहुत महत्वपूर्ण है जो यहाँ TRTC संस्थान में दी जा रही है। प्रमाणपत्र वितरण के बाद प्राचार्य श्री अनंत महोदय ने धन्यवाद ज्ञापन किया।

National Youth Day - Imphal

Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Manipur Vibhag, Imphal Karyastan has celebrated National Youth Day on 12th January 2023 in City Hospital and Research Centre Auditorium, Imphal. 

Oja K. Brajamani Sharma ji, President, Divine Life Society, Kakching and would be recipient of VKIC Sanman 2023 was present as Chief Guest.
People from various walks of society and like minded organizations attended the program. More than 70 people participant attended the program.

National Youth Day Program at Kovilpatti

Swami Vivekananda Jeyanthi day & District level competition going on at Kovilpatti Nadar Hr Sec.School . From 76 Schools 300 students and 115 parents & teachers participating.
Students are joined the competitions as Elocution, story telling, music,drawing , memory ( Thirukural recited) etc...
New book compiled by Ma.Nivedita Didi Bharata Panpadu Tamil Edison released in the prog and received the book by Sri Mathan Manager SBI, Kovilpatti and John Ganesan Head master Nadar Hr Sec School.

National Youth Day at VKSSS - Tinsukia



 Vivekananda Kendra Swasthya Seva Sadan, Tinsukia organized one youth Conference on the auspicious occasion of 159th Janma Diwas of Swami Vivekananda. 23 persons participated in the program maintaining all Covid 19 related protocols. The program started with a patriotic song. Su. Sutapa Roy, Karyalaya Pramukh of VK Arun Jyoti explained the significance of the day. Sri Chandra Sekhar Joshi, a former and veteran Karyakarta of Vivekananda Kendra shared his experience of Kendra activities especially in the field of education. Dr.Debashis Dey Adhikary, through a power point presentation, highlighted the Swasthya Seva Activities of Vivekananda Kendra in north east. He appealed the youths to contribute to the society with whatever capacity they have. Sri Kamalakant Baliarsingh gave an insightful speech on Swamiji’s dream of a modern and resurgent India.  The program concluded with Santi Mantra.

National Youth Day celebrated at Madurai

Vivekananda Kendra Madurai organized National Youth day in Mannar Thirumali Naicker College at Madurai. Programme was started with vedic chanting and patriotic song. Shri. A. Selvaraj, Nagar Pramukh, VK Madurai, introduced the main speaker. On this occasion Shri. D. Natarajan, Karyapadhdhathi Pramukh of VK Madurai, delivered a detailed speech on the topic “Swami Vivekananda – Icon of Modern Youth”. He quoted some life incidents and messages of Swamiji. The objective of man making and nation building was conveyed. The students were really inspired by the speech. The concluded with the National Anthem.

National Youth Day Celebration at Ludhiana

Vivekananda kendra, branch Ludhiana celebrated national youth day in income tax office Ludhiana.  Principal chief commissioner Mr. Binay K. Jha was our the chief guest in the program. Alakaguari Joshi, prant sangathak, panjab and harayana was chief speaker of the programme. 75 people,  including joint commissioners, principal commissioner and ITO were participated in the programme.

Safal Yuva - Yuva Bharat Presentation in West Bengal

Vivekananda Kendra kanyakumari, Kolkata Mahanagar celebrate the Swami Vivekananda jayanti (national Youth Day) as Safal Yuva Yuva Bharat Yuva Samelan at Camellia Institute of Technology, Madhyam gram, Kolkata on 12 January 2015.Total 86 students, 15 faculties and 7 karyakartas of Vivekananda kendra was presented. This program inaugurated by the Director of the institute and Prant Sangathak of Vivekananda kendra, Paschim Bang Prant. Prof Rakesh Das was gave the power point presentation of the Vivekananda Rock Memorial story for inspiring the students to achieve their goal. Dr. Arun Upadhyay motivated the students with some outdoor activities and meditation. Prof Debashish Ganguly was coordinate all over the programme.
