A Free ENT camp was held at VK NRL Hospital in association with a group of renowned doctors from Kolkata and Bangalore who volunteered their services to Vivekananda Kendra from 25th May to 30th May 2015.
Dr Archana Ranade from Kolkata, APOLLO GLENEAGLES Hospital, ENT Specialist screened ENT patients on 25th and 26th May 2015. Approximately 150 patients screened by Dr. Ranade out of which 18 numbers of patients were diagnosed ENT problem which were needed surgical treatment.
Another six member team of doctors from MENT hospital Bangalore visited VK NRL Hospital on 28th May 2015.

Free ENT camp at VK NRL Hospital, On 29th May 2015 at 8.00AM the ENT CAMP inaugurated by Honorable GM HR Numaligarh refinery Ltd. Mr Apurba Bhattacharjee. The team started screening of patients from 9AM and also started surgery parallelly who were previously diagnosed for surgical treatment by Dr. Archana Ranade. On 29th and 30th May 2015 the team attended more than 100 patients and performs 5 numbers of major ENT surgeries.
In the entire camp activities from 25th to 30th of May a total of 250 patients screened out of which about 20 patients with ENT problem advised for surgical treatment by the team of doctors and only 5 cases under gone surgeries. Most commonly screened diseases were chronic sinusitis, deviated nasal septum with hypertrophic turbinate, allergic rhinitis, tonsillitis, CSOM , otoslcerosis, nasal polyps etc.The surgery performed during the period are septoplasty, rhynoplasty,and one surgery done for a huge nesopharyngial polyps.
Overall camp activity was satisfactory and it was a new experience to Vivekananda Kendra NRl Hospital. Much remote population benefited from the camp.
