All India Yoga Shiksha Shivir (Medium- Hindi) was held at Sri Ramkrishna Mahasamelan Ashram Nagadandi under the Aegis of Vivekananda Kendra from 12 to 21 June 2015.
Twenty - Nine participants from Six different states viz, Andhra & Telangana (17) Delhi (3), Maharashtra (3), MP (1), Panjab (2), Rajasthan (1) Uttarakhanda (2) reported on 11th and same day the participants attended the Introductory session, wherein the participants were given the guidelines of the Shivir.
On 12th morning, Shivir was started with inaugural lecture on “Concept of Yoga” by Mananeeya M.Hanumanthraoji, the all India Treasurer of Vivekananda Kendra.The 29 participants were organized into three different Ganas (groups) –, Chandra Bhaga, Vitasta, Bhrungi – Name of the rivers of Kashmir.
The 10 day Shivir had Pratahsmaran & Gita-Pathan, Yogabhyas & Pranayam (moring & evening), Shram-Samskar, two Lecture sessions, Manthan, Geet-Abhyas, for 3 days in the evening Pranayama and Meditation classes, Bhajan Sandhya, and concluded with Ananda Mela.
The lecture sessions were on the topics of: Concepts of Yoga, Rajayoga, Bhaktiyoga, Janayoga and Karmayoga, Bharateeya Samkriti, Concepts of Dharma, Kashmir, Meaning of Kendra Prarthana, Shrimad Bhagwad Geeta, Maneeya Eknathaji, Swami Vivekananda, Story of Vivekananda Rock Memorial, Challenges and Response, Vivekananda Kendra-Concept and its activities.
During Manthan Participants discussed over different Chapters from Sadhana of Service, Yam-Niyam and Bharatiya Samskriti.
During Shram-Samskar, participants took care of the cleanliness, arrangement and management of the premises, accommodation, class rooms, dining hall, Plantation of new flower garden in ashram, work in apple garden and Guashala displaying team-spirit and selfless service.
During the Camp, Participants visited Nursery and Shiva & Martandya temples & Pahelgoan – from where Amarnathji yatra is started.
The Shivir went on well in a congenial, spiritual atmosphere with self discipline.
The Shivir concluded on 21 June afternoon on the International Yoga Day with special blessing of Swami Kumarji who is spreading the message of Srimad Bhagvadgit.Kum Rekha Davey, All India Joint General Secretary, Vivekananda Kendra and Shri B.L. Bhat, the Cairman of the Ashram was also present on the this occasion. The Shivir concluded with Kendra Prarthana.
Many of the participants have expressed their willingness to devout their time and energy for the Service of the society through Vivekananda Kendra. Few enrolled as Patrons thus joining the large family of Vivekananda Kendra.
