Report For The Month Of June - Mysore


 Yoga Satra And Pranayama Class ( Online) Report :  5 Satras

Vivekananda Kendra Mysore conducted 3 pranayama  satra from 04.06.2021 to 12.05.2021,  Morning 6.00 to 6.45, noon 10.00 to 10.30 and evening 6.00 to 6.45. All together 22 participated.
Yoga Satra:  Morning and evening , started on 14th to 27th June, Practice given to Protocol of International  Day of Yoga , Breathing , loosening exercises, Surya namaskara, Asanas, pranayama, Bhajans taught to participants. 32 people participated. 

Yoga varga: everyday 6 karyakartas from Mysore.

Kendra varga ( online) : on every Sunday 6.00 am to 7.15 am . 20 karyakartas attending regularly. Prayer, Shubashita, Bhajan, Viveka vani, Patriotic song, Yogasana, Games, Boudhik on Kendra Prayer. 

Bhajan Sandhya: on every Sunday 5.00 pm to 6.30 pm .( Guru, Ganesha, Shiva, Devi, Rama, Krishna, Mishra and Nirvanashatak)  24 people attending . Assam-7, Bangalore-7, Udupi-2, Mysore-7 , Maharastra-1  , Kerala- 3, and  4 families from Mysore are attending .

Morning Prayer on everyday 5.45 to  6.00.  6  karyakartas  attending
Vishwa parisara diwas on 5.6.2021 , saplings planted and distributed. 100 banana sapling planted at Yelwala . 
On Ekadashi day Vishnusahasranama chanting in online. 

Vimarsha: on 12th June Sri Ravi Kumar talked on the subject Hanuman – ideal for Karyakarta. 31 people attended in this vimarsha. On 26th Su. Soumya Didi given guidance on the subject Goal for Life. 16 attended. 

Covid Assistance: Provisions worth Rs. 3,800/- for 5 families of  Smt . Rangamma, Smt. Jayamma, Smt. Shivamma, Smt Rama bai, Sri Bassanna . weekly vegitables distribution for 9 families worth Rs. 100 per family.

Ananadalay: 2 places- One in Mysore 4 students . Bagalkote- 7 students  and  2 in online.
Paper bag making : 42 kgs bag prepared and sold @Rs.30/-.

Special Report

Vivekananda Kendra, Mysore conducted Sthaniya Karyakarta Prasikshan Shibir from 12th June 2021 to 23rd June 2021. Due to pandemic the KPS was held virtually on Google Meet. All the esteemed speakers guided our karyakartas with their invaluable knowledge on various topics.

On 12th June Sri Ravi Kumar spoke on the topic “Hanuman, The Ideal of a Karyakarta”. He characterized Hanuman and added why it is so important for a karyakarta to inculcate those in their life. 

On 14th June Sri Ramesh talked on “Ma. Eknathji and Vivekananda Rock Memorial”. He emphasized mainly on how Ma. Eknathji faced the challenges during construction of the rock memorial. And also he presented a video of the vrm construction. 

On 15th June Rishikesh Kumar spoke on “Swami Vivekananda’s life with patriotic dimension”. He talked about how swamiji built a broader picture of India and its spirituality. Adding swamiji’s work in uprising Indians in various ways and inspiring many patriots.

On 16th June all India general secretary of Vivekananda Kendra Ma. Bhanudas Ji addressed the meeting about “The problem that the society is facing and need of organized work”. He very presented the current situation of the society and its adversities. Further he guided all the karyakartas for working in an organized way to overcome all those adversities. 

On 17th June Sri Ravi Kumar briefed about “The Pariposhak Yojana” of Vivekananda Kendra. He clearly explained why subscriptions are made and how to make patrons.

On 18th June Dakshin Prant Sanghatak Ma. Radha Didi guided all the karyakartas on “Methodology for Conducting various Programmes and Baithaks”. She well explained each and every subtle aspects of conducting any programme. She spoke of the post programme activities like report writing and its importance. 

On 19th June Ma. Priyamvada Didi gave her talk on importance of “Anushasan” (Discipline) in one’s life. She guided everyone saying as banks of river help the stream to reach the ocean, so does discipline in our life. Her experience inspired all the karyakartas to be more disciplined.

On 20th June Sri Pravin Ji briefed about “Kendra Parichay”. He talked about Vivekananda Kendra objectives and explained all the service activities being done by Kendra. All karyakartas got a clearer picture of Kendra.

On 21st June Sri Shreenivasiah Ji expatiated about “Yoga – A way of life”. He educated everyone on Patanjali Yoga Sutras, and also spoke briefly on Ashtanga Yoga. It was a very knowledgeable session as all karyakartas learnt the history and importance of yoga in daily life.

On 22nd June Sri Nirag dave Ji guided on “Skill development for conducting Samskara Varga”. He gave his new ideas and techniques for planning and conducting Samskara Varga. Overall main objective being character and personality development of kids.

On 23rd June Ma. Lalitha Didi explained the “Meaning of Kendra Prayer and Shanti Mantra” in simpler way. All karyakartas understood the meanings and were made to sing with the very essence of the prayers.

Mysore june month report

Free Eye Camp at Vivekananda Kendra Mysore
As a part of Mananeeya Eknathji Janma Shati Parva, the founder of Vivekananda Kendra, a Free Eye Camp was organized at Vivekananda Kendra Jayanagar   Mysore on 1st June  2015. Camp was organized in association with Mysore Race Club Eye Hospital.  Dr. Jaganatha Shetty Inugarated the camp. 83 patients and 27 patients were identified and cataract  operation done during the period.

Book distribution and Welwishers Meeting
Welwishers Meeting arranged at time of Ma. Balakrishanaji, Vice- President, Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari  visit to Mysore.  At the same time he distributed books, uniform to Anandalaya children.

International Day of Yoga
International Day of Yoga celebrated with all Yoga participants, Anandalaya Students, Samskara Varga students in front of Mysore Palace.

Vimarsha- Monthly Talk
On 28th June Vimarsha monthly talk arranged at Jayanagar on Topic Seva Life of Sri Tagaduru Subbanna, freedom fighter. Sri Linganna, Retd. Head Master, Sarvajanika school was the speaker.

Various activities in Assam under MEJSP

1. Safal Yuva Yuva Bharat-Aim- To inspire youth to commit themselves towards the cause of the society.Methodology-i) Yuva Samparka ii) Yuva Sammelan iii) Yuva Prashikshan iv) Yuva Seva
Lakhimpur , Dhemaji– MEJSP Team started working since September last year through a ‘ Wall Magazine’ competition held at Lakhimpur district to reach out to the youth.
Different colleges had participated which includes, Lakhimpur Girls’ College , N Lakhimpur College, Central College, Naubecha College, Genius Academy Dhemaji Girls’ College, Moridhol College and Machkhowa College, Simenchapori College  Ten teams consisting of ten participants each had participated.
Contents of Wall Magazine- Articles, poems and stories  on ‘  Rock Memorial’ , on team work, One Life one Mission, Challenges as opportunities , Combination of Time and energy, Swami Vivekananda .
Sammelan- Out of this wall magazine competition, selected students participated in yuva sammelan. They shared their experiences and also cultural programmes were held.
The sammelan concluded with formation of ‘Ignited Youth’ forum for each colleges and these ignited forums conducted weekly meetings to plan out different programmes for schools students.Total 17 Ignited Youth Forums were formed in both Lakhimpur and Dhemaji district.
Prashikshan- All members of ‘ Ignited Youth’ forums were trained to conduct different activities for school students. Prashikshan was conducted at Bordoloni where 52 youth had participated.
Yuva Seva- Youth conducted activites for school children like ‘ Greeting card’ making competition and quiz  on Indian Culture and Swami Vivekananda where 115 students participated at Lakimpur and 389 students participated in Dhemaji. Workshop on Personality Development was held where students were taught Surya Namaskar and also played other games.

2. Vimasrsh(Monthly Thought Provoking Session)- For this year’s MEJSP, Three topics have been selected, which are- i) Concept of Dharma
ii)Concept of Seva
iii) Indian Womenhood
Concept of Seva by Sri Sushanta  Sarkar held at VK Panbazar, Guwahati branch and around 22 people had participated in the programme.
Dibrugarh- Sri Khanindra M Bhagabati had spoken on ‘ Be and Make’ which was followed by an open discussion on 18th March 2015. This was attended by, at Vivekananda Kendra premises.
Tinsukia- Sri PS Bhattacharya, vice- principal Commerce College, Tinsukia had spoken on the topic ‘Dharma’ which was also held on March 18th and was attended by 23 members at Hindi Pustakalay, Tinsukia.
VK Bokakhat- A workshop for Women was organized in association with  Marwari Mahila Manch. A total of 30 participants had attended the programme on March 10 2015. The topic for the workshop was ‘ Indian Womenhood.’

3. Sammelan- Karyakarta Sammelan Nalbari 35 people at Vasudev Than, Sandheli, Nalbari.
Non- Student Yuva Sammelan- Two non student Yuva sammelan were held at Dhemaji.
Abhibhawak Sammelan was organized on March 18, 2015 at VKV Dibrugarh. Dr. Sova Rani Sarma, Pranta Pramukh, VK Assam was the resource person for the sammelan.

4. Consolidation of work- i) Five programmes at each karyasthan ---- a) Srimanta Sankardev Prgaya Pratiyogita b) Guru Purnima, c)Yoga Satra d) Patrons e)Book sales
VK Sivasagar – Yoga Satra conducted a t Nazira 
VK Dibrugarh-  Srimanta Sankardev Pragya Pratiyogita  conducted a Chabua and Tengaghat 
VK Guwahati-  Guwahati Varga is being re organized in four different areas  which are named as, Vasishtha Nagar , Dol Gobinda Nagar , Kamakhya Nagar , Ugratara Nagar , Lal Ganesh Nagar.
Teams have been formed for all the different ‘nagars’ which has been geographically organized.
ii) Kendra Varga (Concept- To Consolidate the work of the Kendra,impart  regular training )-Nalbari 12 participants, Mangaldai,35 participants, Guwahati 22 participants, , Jorhat 8 participants  , Dibrugarh 18 participants , Tinsukia 27 participants, and Sivasagar 20 participants .

Karya Paddhyati- VK Mangaldoi conducts 11 Sanskar Vargas consisting of 150 participants in total.
Yoga Varga- Three Yoga Vargas, 40 participants
Swadhaya Varga- One Swadhaya Varga, 12 participants.

6. Varshik Baithak- 4th and 5th of March 2015, a review for last year’s work was taken and a through planning for next year was done at the baithak organized at Mangaldoi. A total of  122, karyakartas  of branch centers and project centers of different parts of Assam.Man. Sri Praveen Ji, joint gen secretary, Kum. Alaka Gauri Joshi were present on the occasion.
On 7th and 8th March, a separate baithak was held by the Barak Valley Vibhag at Silchar which was attended by 30 participants.

Vimarsh at Tinsukia

The Tinsukia branch of Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari is conducting monthly Vimarsh. On 21st December 2014, the Vimarsh was held at Hindi Pustakalaya, Tinsukia. It was attended by 18 people. The topic was Parenting and the Challenges Involved. Su. Barnalee Hazarika, Yuva Pramukh of Mananeeya Eknathji Janma Sati Parva samity of Tinsukia delivered the keynote. She highlighted on the need for mutual respect in the parent child relationship, Indian way of parenting that is culturally rooted, acceptance and unconditional love on the parents part and maintaining the golden middle path of not being too restrictive or too lenient. After the initiation, a good and participatory discussion ensured.

It is to be mentioned that the MEJPS samiti of Tinsukia plans to continue this monthly Vimarsh to involve the Prabuddha Varga of the society, where relevant topics will be discussed. This will definitely strengthen the organizational bases of Kendra as more and more prominent personalities of the society are joining hands with us to spread the messages of Swami Vivekananda.
