A Three Day Personality Development Camp was organized by Vivekanand Kendra(VK) Prashikshan Va Sewa Prakalpa, Pimpalad, Tryambakeshwar Dist.Nashik. The Shibir was inaugurated by Shri Vishwas Devkar (Sr Editor and Sahasanchalak of VK Kanyakumari Nashik Branch) He also spoke on the topic Swami Vivekananda. Other topics covered were ‘Vedic Mathematics’, ‘Meaning of Kendra Prarthana, ’Challenges and Response’, ‘Eknathji’, ’Personality Development’. Apart from this to develop in children, the qualities such as inquisitiveness, artistry, adventurous character, compassion, self-confidence, decision making, self-dependence etc. the interested sessions were held and to develop the physical aspects and to develop team work Yoga practices, games also were conducted. Mental and spiritual aspect was taken care by the group discussions, Patriotic Songs, Bhajans etc.

“Ek karanji molachi”( One invaluable Karanji –a Diwali sweet delicacy )
Twenty eight years ago Nashik branch of Vivekanand Kenra Kanyakumari in association with Savarkar Vistar (Nashik road) and Tarun Maharashtra Mitra mandal Vishnunagar has adopted 30 Adivasi Padas (Tribal Hamlets), and since then the service activities are being perpetuated ceaselessly in these areas.Different likeminded organizations and volunteers of Kendra collect Diwali delicacies,other essential daily need items and cloths from various households and those are distributed in some of these hamlets, on the next day of Bhaubeej (The fifth day of Diwali festiwal-celebration of brother sister auspicious occasion) in a very systematic and planned manner.
With the intention of fulfilling the social obligation, the volunteers of Kendra come together for bringing happiness in the life of those belonging to forest and mountainous regions hence deprived of the basic facilities and other developments and of course away from the pompous celebrations of Diwali.
The street plays are performed in order to bring the awareness amongst the tribals ,also they are made aware of various welfare programs conducted by Vivekanand Prashikshan and Seva Prakalp Pimplad.
This is 28 th year of successful implementation of the program organized by the Kendra

Yoga Shiksha Shibir at Nasik, Pimpalad
Maharashtra Prant of Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari conducted a Yoga Shiksha Shibir at 'Prashikshan va Seva Prakalpa', Pimplad.
Pimplad is near Shri Kshetra Tryambakeshwar situated in Nasik district from 15/05/2016 to 30/05/2016. 30 people participated from all over the state and 1 was from Gujarat.
All the participants used to get up at 5 am and assembled at Yogeswar hall for Pratahsmaran at 5.30 am. Till 7.30 am and again from 4.45 pm to 6.00 pm, the time was alloted for loosening excercises, Suryanamaskar, Asanas and Pranayama. After the practice for one week, Omkar meditation and Cyclic Meditation was introduced. They were divided in 4 groups called Chaitanya, Kaushalya, Utsaha and Drudhta and given different work every day to be completed in 45 mins. Two
sessions were arranged for them daily, on the subjects like concept of Yoga, Bhakti Yoga, Jnanayoga, Karmayoga, Yoga - the core of Vivekananda Kendra, Ashtanga Yoga, Life and Message of Swami Vivekananda, Yogic Jeevan paddhati, Bhagavad Geeta, Challenges which we have to face and our response, Kendra activities etc. This was followed by group discussion. After lunch and rest, there was chanting session which included Shlokas, Mantras, Stotras, Bhajans and
Patriotic songs.
Singing of Bhajans during Bhajan Sandhya and observing silence thereafter was an elevating experience for all. Everybody enjoyed post supp
er session of 'Preranetun Punarutthan' comprising of action songs, games, claps and sharing of various experiences of the karyakartas while working in different parts of the country.

Concluding function took place in pre-lunch session on 30th May. Mananiya Shri Bhanudasji, all India General Secretary and Ma. Shri Abhayji Bapat, Maharashtra Pranta Pramukh addressed the participants and distributed the certificates.

Guru Purnima Celebration at Nasik
Guru Purnima was started with the prayer of 3 omkar, prayers of Sri Ramkrishna, Sarada Ma and Swami Vivekananda followed by Bhajans from the Padawali by the Karyakartas. The program was concluded by the message from Smt. B. Nivedita, Vice President of Vivekananda Kendra on "Relevance and importance of Gurupurnima in present world". It was conveyed to the audience by Shri Pramod Wagh.

International Yoga Day Celebration at Nasik
Vivekananda Kendra Nashik had organized Yoga sessions for the students of Rabindranath Tagore Vidyalay and Kerela Ladies Forum Nashik on 21st June. Around 150 students came together and 45 ladies performed Yogasanas on the International Yoga Day.
Kum. Prajakta Khedlekar, Smt Madhavi Sant and Sau. Shubhangi Joshi conducted 7 days workshop in order to spread awareness and teach the students techniques of Yoga. Shri. Madhukar Deshpande presided the function.

Karyapaddhati Prashikshan Shibir at Pimpalad
Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari - Maharashtra Pranta conducted Karyapaddhati Prashikshan Shibir from 2nd May, 2015 to 7th May, 2015 at Vivekananda Kendra Prashikshan va Seva Prakalpa, Pimplad. Participants from different places reached Pimplad on 2nd May. Inauguration session started at 5 pm with Omkar chanting and Veda Mantra. General Secretory Mananeeya Shri Bhanudasji Dhakras and Maharashtra Pranta Pramukh Mananeeya Shri Abhayji Bapat were present on the occasion. Ma. Abhayji, while explaining the concept of the shibir, emphasized on the consolidation of the organizational set-up and training of the karyakartas at different levels. Ma. Bhanudasji, in his address said,”Karya Paddhati i.e. Yoga Varga, Swadhyay Varga and Sanskar Varga is for creating positive energy and channelize it for national reconstruction. Our Karya Paddhati is in tune with age old tradition of our motherland. We have to train ourselves so that we can conduct the Vargas effectively and consistently.”
The shibir was conducted in two parts - 1 Sanskar Varga, 2 Swadhyay varga and Yoga Varga. All the 56 (sisters 30, brothers 26) karyakartas from Konkan, Pashchim Maharashtra, Devgiri and Vidarbha vibhags were divided in 5 groups – Anushasan, Satatya, Deshabhakti, Shuchita and Samarpan.
Daily routine was such that the karyakartas could discuss on the subjects like Importance of the Karyapaddhati, Chatusutri, Qualities of a Karyakarta, Need of organized work, Vaigyanik Drishtikon, Dayitvabodh etc after each bauddhik satra. There were practical sessions of each Varga twice in a day. The responsibility of conducting the Vargas was given to the groups on last two days. They planned it thoroughly and did it very well. Pratahsmaran, Shramasanskar, Bhajan Sandhya and Prerna se Punarutthan was equally enjoyed with all the Bauddhik Satras.
Mananeeya Vishwasji Lapalkar, Maharashtra Pranta Sangathak in his concluding address expressed his happiness. “All of us will go to our respective places and put in practice what we have learned here”, he said. In the concluding session, all offered flowers to The Guru – Omkara and took Vichar Pushpa – a book of Swamiji’s thoughts as Prasada. The Shibir ended with Shanti Mantra and Kendra Prarthana.
