Raksha Bandhan Celebration at Swarna Bhoomi Samskarvarga of RT Nagar

Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Dakshin Prant, Karnataka Vibhag, RT Nagar Branch celebrated Raksha Bandhan at the 'Swarna Bhoomi' Samskarvarga on 25th August 2024. A total of 17 participants, including 10 students and 7 Karyakarthas, took part in the celebration.

The varga began with a prayer, followed by a Subhashita. Bhagavad Gita shlokas were chanted, and the children enjoyed singing Krishna bhajans. A story about the friendship between Krishna and Sudama, as well as another story from the Mahabharata, was narrated. 

An art class was also conducted, where all the children sketched images that reminded them of Sri Krishna, which were then compiled into a collage. 

The children tied Rakhis to each other and celebrated Raksha Bandhan. The varga concluded with the Shanti Mantra and Kendra Prarthana, and Prasada was distributed to all.
