Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Arunachal Prant, Siang Vibhag celebrated Raksha Bandhan on August 19, 2024, at three locations. Around 510 people including Army personnel and Karyakarthas joined the celebration.
In Aalo, Raksha Bandhan was celebrated at the Indian Army Camp (AP) and at the Karyalaya. A total of 32 karyakartas participated in the program. The celebration included 150 attendees, including Army personnel and karyakartas, who marked the occasion by tying rakhis.
In Pasighat, the celebration took place at the Sigar Military Station (AP). A total of 25 karyakartas, including 21 sisters, participated in the event. More than 150 military personnel were tied rakhis by the sisters. As a token of respect and appreciation, the karyakartas presented a photo frame of the Shilasmarak and Swami Ji to the Commanding Officer of the Military Station, acknowledging the unwavering dedication of our soldiers.
In Basar, Raksha Bandhan was celebrated with personnel from the SP Office, Aalo and ITBP Camp. Four karyakartas took part in the program. More than 150 personnel, including those from the ITBP Camp and SP Office, were tied rakhis by the sisters.
The celebrations across all three locations not only reinforced the cultural and traditional values of Bharat but also fostered a profound sense of unity and togetherness among all participants. The act of tying rakhis went beyond the traditional bond between brothers and sisters, symbolizing the deep respect and gratitude we hold for our soldiers who selflessly serve the nation. This heartfelt gesture of appreciation made the Raksha Bandhan celebrations by Vivekananda Kendra Siang Vibhag truly memorable and meaningful.
