व्यक्तित्व विकास" शिबिर @ भुबनेश्वर

विवेकानंद केंद्र कन्याकुमारी शाखा भुबनेश्वर वाणी विहार उत्कल विश्वविद्यालय परिसर में 18/05/2017 से ले कर 21/05/2017 तारीख तक एक "व्यक्तित्व विकास" शिबिर का आयोजन किया गया था। 30 बहन और 15 भाई को मिलाकर इस शिबिर में 45 छात्रछात्रि योगदान दिए थे। शिबिर का हर सुबह शांतिपाठ से सुरु हो कर गीता पाठ, सूर्यनमस्कार, आसन, खेल, देशात्मक गीत, सृजनशीलता अदि कार्यक्रम हुआ करता था। सभी छात्रने उत्साह के साथ इस शिबिर में हिस्सा लिया। शिबिर के अंतिम दिन में अतिथि क रूप में Shree Basudev Chatoi (सह नगर संचालक दायित्य) और Smt. Geeta Hatial (व्यबस्था प्रमुख दायित्य) आये हुए थे और बच्चों के मातापिता भी शिबिर में योगदान दिया।

भुवनेश्वर के द्धारा आयोजित गीता जयंती

विवेकानन्द केंद्र कन्याकुमारी शाखा भुवनेश्वर के द्धारा आयोजित गीता जयंती, 11/12/2016 को मनाया गया | उसमे केंद्र के कार्यकर्ता, बाकि लोग और बच्चों को मिला कर ४० लोग आये हुए थे | पहले शांतिपाठ, कर्मयोग श्लोक संग्रह से सुरु हो कर स्वागत, परिचय और खेल अदि हुआ | उसके वाद प्रांत संपर्क प्रमुख श्री महेंद्र सिंह जी ने पवित्र गीता का महत्व के वारे में हम सब को बताया | फिर जो, लोग आये हुए थे उन सब को गण में बटा गया | और वे लोग गीता के वारे में चर्चा किए | उस के वाद एक एक गण से उपस्थापना किया गया | फिर ओडिशा के प्रांत संगठक जीवनब्रती कार्यकर्ता श्री रवि नायडू जी ने इस चर्चा का समापन किया | सभी लोगों ने संकल्प लिया, की कैसे पवित्र गीता का हर एक वाणी को अपने जीवन में लाने की प्रयास कर सके | फिर शांतिमंत्र और प्रसाद सेवन के वाद समाप्त हुआ |

Sadhana Diwas at Bhuvaneswar

नमस्कार, विवेकानन्द केंद्र कन्याकुमारी शाखा भुवनेस्वर (ऐक्यम्, जिस में नया केंद्र का निर्माण कार्य चल रहा है) में 20.11.16 को साधना दिवस (माननीय एकनाथ जी जयंती) पालन किया गया | उसमे केंद्र के सभी कार्यकर्ता और युवा आए हुए थे | सुरु से शांति पाठ हो कर विवेकानन्द केंद्र के प्रार्थना के ऊपर चर्चा हुआ | उस के वाद एक देश भक्ति गीत हुआ | फिर हमारे लक्ष्मि भैया, जो की ओडिशा सेवा प्रकल्प और ऐक्यम् के दायित्य में है, उन्होंने केंद्र प्रार्थना के सारांस और एकनाथ जी के बारे में बकतृत दिया | उस के बाद शांति मंत्र फिर भोजन हो कर समाप्त हुआ | धन्यवाद....भारत माता की जय...

Universal Brotherhood Day celebrated at Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar, 11.09.2016: Celebrating Universal Brotherhood Day to commemorate the epic speech delivered by Swami Vivekananda, on 11th September 1983 at Chicago in The World Parliament of Religions, city wing of Vivekananda Kendra KanyaKumari organised a special ceremony in Bhubaneswar on Sunday (11th Sept.).

CHSE Chairman Basudev Chattoi graced the occasion as Chief Guest and impressed upon the relevance and usefulness of Swamiji’s speech and values in the present day context.  Quoting from the famous Chicago speech of Swami Vivekananda he highlighted the need for universal brotherhood to maintain peace and all round development of human race irrespective of their religion. He said that the man on this earth has continued too long to be fanatic about insisting that his religion alone was true and other religions being false had no right to exist. 

Nagar Sanchalak of Vivekananda Kendra KanyaKumari Bhubaneswar branch and former Director NIT Rourkela Prof. G K Roy in his welcome address elongated on the objectives of celebrating Universal Brotherhood Day and involving the youth in various nation building activities. Dr. Ashok Panda, GM – Sanmarg and visiting faculty at Ravenshaw University also graced the occasion as Guest of Honour. Sri Anil Kumar Kar, Vani Vibhag Pramukh (Coastal Odisha region), Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari presented a brief introduction on Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari and its various activities in Odisha and across the country. Nagar Pramukh of the city branch of Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari Santap Kumar Jena presented the vote of thanks on the occasion.

Winners of various school, college and university level competitions organised by Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari in Bhubaneswar in the first week of September were felicitated with prizes and citations on this occasion. A Group yoga competition was held on 3rd September by the Kendra wherein 13 schools of the city participated. The 1st prize winners performed a group yoga sequence during the function.

The winners of the interschool completion on Odia and English recitation of the epic speech of Swami Vivekananda held on 4th September were also felicitated on this occasion. Students from 21 different schools in the city participated in this completion.

Similarly, the winners of ‘Uttishthita Jagrata Swadhyaya’ examination on the book containing messages of Swami Vivekananda on SELF development, held at various colleges and departments of Utkal University were felicitated on this occasion. A total of 368 students of colleges and university participated in ‘Swadhyaya’ competitions.

A documentary film on Mananeeya Eknathji, the founder of Vivekananda Kendra KanyaKumari, was also screened on this occasion.

190 wellwishers and children attended the programme.

Samarth Bharat Parva Celebration in Bhuwaneswar

Samarth Bharat Parva Celebration 2016 BhubaneswarSamartha Bharat Parva was celebrated by Vivekananda Kendra - Bhubaneswar in from 25th December to 12th January with special focus on Utkal University campus. A public meeting was organised in the Auditorium of Utkal University on 12th Jan evening 6.00 pm. Prof Asoka Kumar Das, Vice Chancellor Utkal University was the Chief Guest. Smt Amrita Dash (IPS), DCP(HQ)  Bhubaneswar graced the occasion as the Chief Speaker and Sri PK Sinha, GM- SBI, Bhubaneswar was the Guest of Honour. Sri Surasen Jena, Prant Sanchalak and Prof G K Roy, Nagar Sanchalak VK & VRM were also on the dais. 280 peo
ple were present in the programme. Daily Bharat Mata Pujan and Vande Mataram was done in Kendra Karyalaya with an average attendance of 6 karyakartas.
In the University it was decided that the theme of the Parva would be “Love India Serve India”. Following programmes were organised by the youth karyakartas of the University:
1.) In Utkal University campus Bharat Mata Pujan was done by youth in front of PG Boys Hostel no.1 daily in the evening. Swadesh Mantra was read in lead and follow pattern daily after the pujan. Average attendance was 20.
2.) As an aspect of Serve India - Winter clothes were collected from the staff quarters of the University  and distributed among the street and pavement dwellers of Bhubaneswar on 10th January night.
3.) PPT on Samartha Bharat Parva was shown in 6 Post Graduate Departments of the University and in 1 Graduation level college. About 200 students participated. On 12th afternoon a quiz based on the PPT shows was conducted for interested students, at 11 am. 86 students participated.
4.) A “Run for the Nation” was held in the University campus on 12th morning at 7.00 am.Dr Santosh Tripathy – Director, College Development Council, Utkal University flagged off the run. 81 students completed the run.
A good youth team was formed in the University in the entire effort.

Vimarsha and Pariwar Sammelan at Bhuvaneswar

A Pariwar Sammelan was organised by VK Baleswar on 8th July 2015. The Pariwar Sammelan started with Bhajan Sandhya. Mananeeya Nivedita Didi talked about ‘Adarsha Pariwar’ on the occasion.  Around 100 well-wishers participated in the programme.

VK Bhubaneswar organised a Vimarsha on Expressions of Oneness for the elites of Capital town. More than 120 elites were present for the lecture and participated in the discussion. Mananeeya Niveditadidi told, we all are inter-related, inter-connected and inter- dependent, if we doesn’t understand the truth we are going to destroy ourselves. The entire Bharatiya Sanskriti is based on this inter-relation, because we don’t say there is unity in diversity but we see the diversity as manifestation of the One – The Ishwara. If we understand this oneness and accept this diversity the entire world will be peaceful, there will be no atrocities on the name of colour, cast or religion. A meaningful discussion followed the lecture.

Nagar Pramukh Varga


A One Day Odisha Pranta Nagar Pramukh Varga was organised on 21st September 2014 in Bhubaneswar. Nagar Pramukh and Sah Nagrar Pramukh from all Nagars, All Sanghatak and Pranta Team was present for the varga. The varga started with 3 Omkar, Shantipath and Aikya Mantra. Aadarniya MEJS Parva Pramukh, Shri. Rabindra Kamila welcomed all and told the purpose aand importance of the varga for expansion and consolidation of Kendra Karya. Mananeeya Pranta Sanchalak Shri. Surasen Jena ji said, “Mananeeya Ekanthji was a master organiser. The karyakarta is LIVING example of Ideals of organisation and so our responsibility is much more. If we are ready to work for nation with the zeal then we can achieve our target even if our number is less”.
It was followed by Karya Parichaya Satra, Nagar Pramukhs introduced their Nagar Sthans with respect to karya, sstrengths, team etc. It was continued by Manthan conducted by Aadarniya LakshmiNarayan ji, Prakalpa Sanghatak, Utkal Seva Prakalpa on “The Role of Nagar Pramukh”. Shri. Rabindra Kamila presented the Karya-yojana of MEJSP. In Samapan, Shri. Mahendra Singh ji, Vishesh Samparka Pramukh, MEJSP, told that, Youth should work for national cause and ours is the work to take Swami Vivekananda’s thoughts to youth. Mananeeya Ravi ji, Pranta Sanghatak, Odisha stressed on conducting a day long Chintan Baithak at Nagar Sthans for Vision 2016. How our Nagar can become a PURN NAGAR? Also we should give a thought to raise our level, our Intellectual, Emotional And Spiritual level should be raised. The varga concluded with Kendra Prarthana.

Bhumi Pujan of Regional Centre cum Institute Of Culture & Yoga, Bhubaneswar Branch

BhumiPujan - Foundation Stone FunctionThe Foundation Stone laying programme for the Regional Centre cum Institute Of culture & Yoga, Bhubaneswar was held on the actual plot on 27th February 2011. The Chief Guest Sri Pyari Mohan Mohapatra, Hon’ble MP (Rajya Sabha), unveiled the foundation stone at the start of the programme in presence of Mananeeya A. Balakrishnanji, the Vice President of Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari and Sri Anant Narayan Jena, Mayor-BMC, the Guest of Honour in the programme. The celebrations started with traditional Bhoomi puja and yagna in the morning.

Mananeeya A. Balakrishnanji, Vice President Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari spoke on the necessity of such Institute where in special studies will be undertaken to identify and strengthen the commonalities amongst the various Janajatis, while strengthening their uniqueness. He also gave a broad overview of the 150th year celebrations of Swamiji and the role of Odisha in Kendra’s future plans. The Chief Guest congratulated Vivekananda Kendra for its efforts to spread Indian Culture and Swami Vivekananda’s message. He suggested that a mass movement of fund collection should be done by Kendra so that even common people may feel a sense of owning, instead of approaching only the Industrialists. Sri Ananta Narayan Jena, BMC-Mayor said the need of such organisations is very important for spreading the message of Swamiji.

Odiya Book Release "Bharateeya Sanskriti"An Odiya book titled “Bharateeya Sanskriti”, published by the Vivekananda Kendra was earlier released by the Chief Guest. In the beginning Sri Surasen Jena, welcomed all present in his Welcome address. Smt Lilima Mohapatra, Nagar Pramukh, Vivekananda Kendra proposed the Vote of thanks. Around 150 wellwishers and patrons attended the programme.
