Gita Jayanti Celebration at VK-Kaushalam, Hyderabad

Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Telugu Prant, VK-Kaushalam celebrated the Gita Jayanti Utsav with Gita Recitation and Reading Competition at Kaushalam, on 6th December 2025.

This celebration was the culmination of a systematic Gita learning initiative that commenced on 24th November 2025. Regular Gita classes focusing on the 12th chapter of the Bhagavad Gita were conducted across three schools: Laadlay School (143 students), Gowtam Model School (42 students), and Vivekananda Vidya Vihar High School (23 students). All participating students attended the sessions consistently and successfully completed the prescribed chapter. 

On 6th December 2025, the Gita Recitation and Reading Competition was organized at Kaushalam, in which 90 students actively participated. The competition provided a meaningful opportunity for students to demonstrate their understanding, clarity of recitation, and familiarity with the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita. The competition was judged by Smt. Leela Sharma, Smt. Katyayani, Smt. Saraswati, and Smt. Jyoti, whose guidance and encouragement added significant value to the event. Prizes and consolation prizes were awarded to winners across various categories, encouraging participation and appreciation of the scriptural study.

The program witnessed the presence of 160 students and parents, reflecting strong community participation and interest in this cultural and educational initiative. As a meaningful outcome of the Utsav, three families registered for Bhagavad Gita Kutumb Deeksha, indicating a positive step towards integrating Gita-based values into family life.

Youth Leadership Workshop at Hyderabad

Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Telugu Prant, organized a Youth Leadership Workshop on the occasion of Universal Brotherhood Day on 13th September 2025 at G. Pulla Reddy Degree College Auditorium, Hyderabad. The program was attended by 113 participants representing 24 finalist teams from various districts and zones out of 118 expected. The event was coordinated with the dedicated efforts of 16 Yuva Karyakartas and 15 Varshitha Karyakartas, ensuring its smooth execution.

The finalist teams were from Tirupati (3 teams), Eluru (3 teams), Amalapuram (1 team), Kurnool (1 team) and Hyderabad zones – Nagole (3 teams), Dilsukhnagar (6 teams), Narayanguda (3 teams), Mehdipatnam (3 teams), and Kukatpally (1 team).

The workshop began with team-building games followed by a group discussion on “How to manifest our love for our country in our daily routine”. The reflections and presentations by the teams encouraged active participation and creative thinking.

The highlight of the program was an inspiring address by Major Shri SPS Oberoi (Ex-Army, Academic Advisor, Ekam IAS Academy) on “Love Bharat, Serve Bharat.” His talk deeply inspired the participants to channel their patriotic spirit into constructive actions for society.

Towards the conclusion, the youth resolved to express their love for Bharat through service, by celebrating Deepawali with underprivileged families or by cleaning and lighting Deepas in old unattended temples in their localities.

The workshop effectively strengthened the spirit of brotherhood, responsibility, and dedication to the nation among the participants, truly reflecting Swami Vivekananda’s message that the future of India lies in the hands of its youth.

Samskar Varga Prashikshan Shibir at Hyderabad

 Samskar Varga Prashikshan Shibir at VK Kaushalam from 28th April, 2023 to 1st May, 2023. The theme of the shibir was “Let’s take a step further”. A total of 28 participants participated from Nagole nagar and 4 Karyasthans (Gajularamaram, Ibrahimpatnam, Dilsulknagar, Sangam).The organizing team consisted of 11 Karyakartas of Telugu Prant under the guidance of Shibir Adhikari Sri. Arun Gaud Ji and Prant Vyavastha Pramukh Shri. P. Ramakrishna Ji. 

The main thrust of this Shibir was on developing the young Sahabhagis, Gat Pramukhs, Varg Shishaks to undertake Samskar Vargas in their respective vistars. The camp activities are scheduled in such a manner so as to make the participants to understand the importance of Samskar Vargas in achieving our motto of nation building through man-making.

Participants learnt the skills to take Suryanamskar, khel, geet, kahani and agyna in Samskar varga through Naipunya Sessions. The Baudhik sessions were on the topics Veer Deshbhakt Sanyasi Swami Vivekananda, Mann Bharatmata, Jeevan Lakshya Jeevan Dhyey and Jeevan Mulay
As part of this camp, the participants also performed Bharat Mata aarti on 30th April, visited nearby Kaushalam Gaushala and performed 51 Suryanamaskars on 1st May. As a follow-up of this Shibir, Ekatrikaran of Samskar Vargas and 108 Surya-Namaskar programme are planned to be conducted on International Day of Yoga (21st June) this year.

Yuva Toli Pravas - Hyderabad Vibhag

On 21 Jan 2023, Yuva Toli of Hyderabad Vibhag had a one-day pravas to 200 years old Sitaram Bagh Temple located in Hyderabad. 18 Yuva Karyakarthas took part in the pravas.

The pravas was graced by the presence of Telugu Prant Sangathak Aadharneeya Sujata Didi, Hydrabad Vibhag Toli Sadasya Sri. Arun Gaud Ji, Kum. Savitha (Sahitya Seva) and Sri. Thirumalesh (Sahitya Seva).
The schedule of the pravas included Mandir & Parisar darshanam, group discussion on the topics of ‘Aazadi ka Amrit Mahotsav & our ideas and commitment for 2047 (Amrit Kaal)’, krida yoga, a practical session on the topic ‘Samskarvarga – Challenges & Solutions’ etc.

​Karyakarta Prashikshan Shibir at Hyderabad​

Karyakarta Prashikshan Shibir of Hyderabad Vibhag was organised from 1 to 4 October at Kaushalam, Hyderabad. Thirty-four participants including 10 sisters participated in it, the organising team had 8 karyakartas. The partiipants were trained in Yoga Varga, Samskar Varga and Bhajans to help them conduct these activities across Hyderabad. These  Karyakartas were from Ameerpet, Dilsukhnagar, Ibrahimpura, Kukutpallt and Dr. AS Rao Nagar areas.  Prant Pramukh Sri Mouli, Prant Vyavastha Pramukh Sri Bhaskar Sharma, Vibhag Pramukh Sri Sudhakar Reddy, Sri Kakade, Ameerpet Nagar Pramukh Sri Navin and Vyavastha Pramukh Sri Rakesh and other karyakartas guided and trained the Karyakartas. Smt. Padmaja gave special practice on Geet abhyas.
