Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Maharashtra Prant, Badlapur Branch, in collaboration with Adarsh Vidya Prasarak Mandal, organized a book release programme on Saturday, 15 November 2025. The event featured the launch of two books published by Vivekananda Kendra Marathi Prakashan Vibhag — Shodhyatri Rishimuni (Marathi) authored by Shri Vaibhav Datar and Poornatwache Pravasi (Marathi) written by Dr. Sharad Kulkarni.
The programme commenced with chanting of Omkar three times, followed by a prayer and the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries. In her introductory remarks, Adaraneeya Vasudha Tai Karandikar provided an overview of Vivekananda Kendra and its Marathi Prakashan Vibhag, explaining the purpose and vision behind publishing these books.
Addressing the gathering, author Shri Vaibhav Datar highlighted the scientific advancements present in ancient Indian knowledge systems and encouraged students to explore the profound scientific concepts found in the Ramayana, Mahabharata, Upanishads, and Vedas. A moment of pride for Adarsh Vidyalaya followed as student Shri Kanad Prabhudesai was felicitated for being selected for ISRO’s study tour.
The chief guest, Aadaraneeya Lalita Tai Namjoshi, stressed the importance of understanding India’s cultural heritage and urged students to connect contemporary learning with ancient wisdom. She remarked that while professionals can be created anywhere, what society truly needs is good human beings—and this, she said, is the service that Vivekananda Kendra diligently undertakes.
The principal of Adarsh Vidyalaya, Shri Buteresar, conveyed his gratitude in brief yet heartfelt words. The programme concluded with Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinah shloka and a soulful rendition of the complete Vande Mataram by Ms. Alka Tai Jahagirdar.
