Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Assam Prant, Kamrup Vibhag organized an Amrit Parivar Milan and Bhajan Sandhya on 9th November 2025 at the Basistha Karyasthan of Kalakshetra Nagar, Guwahati hosted at the residence of Shri Paban Jyoti Pator and Ad. Piku Moni Borgohain Didi. The programme saw the participation of 45 attendees.
The Milan was graced by Ad. Meera Kulkarni Didi, Jeevan vrati and Joint Secretary, VKSPV & Secretary, VKIC; Ad. Subrata Mukherjee, Karyapadhati Pramukh, Assam Prant; Ad. Dhira Deka Baido, Samparka Pramukh, Assam Prant; Ad. Arup Bora, Kamrup Vibhag Pramukh; Ad. Kalyan Dutta, IT Pramukh, Kamrup Vibhag; and other dedicated karyakartas of the Vibhag and Nagar.
The programme began with a prayer session, followed by devotional bhajans that enriched the spiritual ambiance. Ad. Piku Moni Borgohain Baido offered a heartfelt remembrance of Mananeeya Lt. Mridula Pator and invited Ad. Kalyan Dutta Dada to deliver the keynote address. In his message, he highlighted the relevance of Amrit Pariwar in the present demographic context of Assam and urged participants to uphold the 5-S (Sukhi, Sampanna, Swasthya, Samskar-sram, Samaj Dharana) and 6-B (Bhasha, Bhusha, Bhojan, Bhajan, Bhawan, Bhraman) values of Amrita Parivar. He appealed to the gathered families to initiate Sankul formation, following which two Sankuls were unanimously formed—Srimanta Sankardev Sankul and Srimanta Madhav Dev Sankul.
Earlier, Kum. Tanushri Deka presented a melodious tribute song dedicated to Iswar Putra Zubeen Garg. It was decided to conduct the next Amrit Pariwar Milan on 10th November 2025 at the residence of Ad. Sujata Das (Bhaskar Nagar Vistar, Lalganesh Nagar) and on 14th November 2025 at the residence of Ad. Dhaneswar Kalita Dada (Ugratara Nagar). The programme concluded with the Kendra Prarthana and light refreshments.
