Universal Brotherhood Day in Kamrup

Two Universal Brotherhood Day programs are organized in Kamrup bivhag at Guwahati today by VK Branch Guwahati. One at Ugratara Nagar, Guwahati with 270 attendance and other by Initiative of a Kendra Karyakarta Smt Minati Dey Ulubari Vistar Pramukh in a NCRT Teacher Training Program with 70 teachers from different districts of Assam. Swamiji's Chicago address was read and discussed amongst the teachers after deliberation on the Importance of the day by Smt Minati Didi.

In Ugratara Nagar Swami Devaswarupananda Maharaj Assistant Secretary R.K.Mission Guwahati was chief guest. In His deliberation Pujyapad Maharaj ji  narrated the background of Swamiji's journey to the World Parliament of Religion, its impact on West and East. Dr. Saraju Das Former HOD Dept of Philosophy Handique Girls College, an Educationist and Social worker was Guest of Honour. She emphasized on Swamiji's call to the youth of India. Three books were released.

A group of ten Karyakartas presented a chorus on the occasion.

The follow up program with five yoga satra in Guwahati was announced.

On 10 September for the first time in newly formed Kamakhya Nagar UB Day was celebrated. Attendance was 28. Man. Meera Didi was present as speaker. Swamiji's life from Naren to Swami Vivekananda, His realization in Sripad Shila the solution of National problems as Raising the dormant spirit and organizing the mass and the purpose of attending WPR was the core of lecture.

One more program on Universal Brotherhood Day had been organized at Vasistha Nagar, Guwahati on 13 September 2015.

“सफल युवा युवा भारत” अभियान उद्घाटन

११ सितम्बर स्वामी विवेकानंद का विश्व बंधुत्व दिवस (शिकागो व्याख्यान) विवेकानंद केंद्र द्वारा प्रति वर्ष  मनाया जाता है। इस वर्ष विवेकानंद केंद्र के संस्थापक मा. एकनाथजी रानडे इनका १०० वा जन्म दिवस १९ नवम्बर २०१४ से चल रहा है, इस पर्व को केंद्र मा. एकनाथजी जन्म शती पर्व के नाम से मना रहा है। अतः  इस अवसर पर विवेकानंद केंद्र इंदौर में युवाओं के बिच महाविद्यालयों में “युवा विमर्श एक वैस्चारिक शृंखला इस कार्यक्रम का उदघाटन किया गया। कार्यक्रम में मा. एकनाथजी के व्याख्यानों का संग्रह Spiritualizing Life इस पुस्तक का विमोचन विवेकानंद केंद्र के मध्य प्रान्त संचालक श्री मनोहर  देव व मुख्या अतिथि डॉ मुकेश मोढ, होलकर महाविद्यालय के प्राचार्य डॉ. चतुर्वेदीजी, कला व वाणिज्य के प्राचार्य डॉ एस.एल.गर्ग जी के हस्ते किया गया। युवा विमर्श कार्यक्रम के मुख्या वक्ता डॉ मुकेश मोढ जी अपने उद्बोधन में स्वामी विवेकानंद के विचारों पर प्रकाश डालते हुए निम्नलिखित बाते बतायी

• लक्ष निर्धारित होने से जीवन में सार्थकता का अनुभव होता है,
• लक्ष की स्पष्टता होने से विषम परिस्थिति में विजय प्राप्त की जाती है,
• स्वामी विवेकानंद युग प्रवर्तक थे, उन्होंने १९९१ में घोषण की थी आने वाले ५० वर्षों तक   भारत माता ही अपनी आराध्य दैवत है और ठीक ५१ वर्ष बाद भारत स्वतंत्र हुआ,
• कोई  भी बड़े कार्य के लिए छोटा मार्ग नहीं होता है,
• महान बनने किए लिए स्वामीजी ने पांच बाते बताई है
• 1. निष्ठा, २.उदयम शक्ति, ३. धैर्य, ४. निश्चय और ५. सातत्य

और फिर तब भारत को कोई नहीं रोग पायेगा।

आज स्वामी विवेकानंद के विचारों को आत्मसात कर अपने जीवन में उतारने की आवश्यकता है और परिवार से यह सहज संभव होता है, दूसरा स्वामी स्वयं युवा थे और उनकी अधिक अपेक्षा युवाओं से थी अतः युवा विमर्श एक वैचारिक शृंखला इस कार्यक्रम के अंतर्गत युवाओं ने जुड़कर राष्ट्र के निर्माण में अपना योगदान देना है। श्री मनोहर देव जी ने विवेकानंद केंद्र का परिचय देकर केंद्र से जुड़कर राष्ट्र की सेवा करने का आवाहन किया। विवेकानंद केंद्र के होलकर महावद्यालय के प्रभारी प्राध्यापक  श्री धीरजजी शर्मा ने कार्यक्रम का सञ्चालन किया। कार्यक्रम में ३५० की संख्या में  युवा, प्राध्यापक व नगर के प्रबुद्ध वर्ग उपस्थित थे।

Asmita Conference started at Kanyakumari

160 leaders of 23 Janjatis from ​nine states ​of the country - Arunachal Pradesh​,​ Assam, Nagaland, Andhra Pradesh, Chattisgarh, Madhya​ Pradesh, Jharkhand​, Odisha and Andhra Pradesh​ ​arrived here for a 3​-​day Janajati Netr​u​t​v​a Sammelan. This conference will continue till 17 of September.

Vivekananda Rock ​M​emorial ​​​and Vivekananda Kendra ​i​s organising this conference in a project styled as Asmita in the birth centenary of ​Mananeeya ​Eknath​ji​ Ranade, Founder​, ​Vivekananda Kendra​, said Dr Joram Begi​, ​​National Co-ordinator,​​ Asmita.

​The 3-day conference is aimed at inculcating understanding and respect for ​Janajati traditional​ practices​ ​which contributes to one’s identity as well.

This conference will be inaugurated by Sri Kiren Rijiju, ​M​inister​ of State, Home Affairs​,​ Govt ​o​f India​, New Delhi, on 15​ ​September​, 2015.

Dr.APJ Abdul Kalam's sudden demise has left us all in grief. VK-nardep also shares the anguish of the nation and vows to keep working for the vision of Dr.Kalam. One of his last wishes has been the realization of Green Rameshwaram which he himself inaugurated. 'Green Rameshwaram' project provided the rightful memorial service to Dr.Kalam by involving themselves in brining solar light based electricity to the coastal hamlet on the day of Dr.Kalam's funeral. You can read the vision of Dr.Kalam and how we are striving to make it come true. Also interesting is the dream of Green Rameshwaram which the children have brought out through their paintings. So what we are doing at Green Rameshwaram is that we are making as reality the vision of Dr.Kalam and the dream of the children. You will also get a glimpse of the work we are doing including how energy independence is being brought to the island of Rameshwaram through green Rameshwaram.This newsletter is Kalam-centric and you will get a glimpse of his vision and our mission of making his vision a reality for his very island:

That brings us to this month newsletter. We bring to your attention the result of an annual survey by National Geographic magazine whose 'Greendex' study of the consumer behaviour worldwide consistently finds Indians to be the people with the most eco-friendly behaviour. Then we bring you a case study of a village where the energy independence is achieved through solar power. Then you will get an idea of what our own volunteers are doing. They are brining smiles and solar power into the huts of the coastal villages and they are organizing students to take the message of 'Green Rameshwaram' to each and every resident of Rameshwaram. We are planning the composting of the 'nirmalya'; traditional pond premises are getting cleaned; The nandavanams or the traditional gardens associated with temples in Rameshwaram are also getting cleaned; the locals and other organizations are also getting involved. Particularly the students are getting involved. In the wisdom section we have an eco-feminist speak on the living planet. We have Mother (Pondicherry) speak on becoming one with the tree consciousness and we also have His Holiness Dalai Lama on the need to develop eco-awareness. In the publication section we have Mahatma Gandhi on the process of development.
