Bhajan Practice Session in Bangalore

 Bhajan Practice was organized by Vivekananda Kendra, Bangalore Branch through google meet on 25th April 2021 from 4 pm to 5 pm.

In this online program around 24 participants learning the correct pronunciation of Padavali shloka (Shanti phat) from Aa.Kalyani Didi, VK Thiruvananthapuram.

The program started with
• 3 Omkara and Shanti Mantra by Dharani didi
• Rastrabhakthi Geet By Rajeshwari Prasad (Raji) didi
• Purpose of Learning Padavali and Introduction of Aa. Kalyani Didi -by Aa.Radha didi
• Conclude with Shanthi Mantra by Jayashree didi
• Kendra Prarthana by Vinay Bhiya

Bhajan Practice Varga will be conducted every Saturday 4PM to 5PM

 

Teacher - Parents meeting VKV Kallubalu

On 10th & 11th of June Parents' Meetings were conducted at VKV Kallubalu to survey on school reopening for 2020-21 followed by Vidyalaya Managing Committee Meeting on 10.06.2020 wherein the members interacted with parents. The opinion is forwarded to the education department. The winners of World Environment Day - online competitions received the prizes. Parents were briefed about the life style to develop immunity power  like yogabhyas, organic food habits, organic sanitizer, etc. these meetings were attended by a total of 100 people. It was expressive and educative experience for all.

VKV Kallubalu Corona Relief Work

200 Ration kits were distributed to the needy families out of 1500 sponsored by Azim Premji foundation through Smt. Vijayalakshmi Ramakrishna, Founder: Sahasra Deepika International.

The Food was served to 2500 people daily from Community Kitchen to 24 places in and around VKV KALLUBALU.
29,30 April and 1 May 2020. 100 Ration kits were distributed to differently abled people and aged single member families in 6 villages sponsored by Azim Premji foundation through Smt. Vijayalakshmi Ramakrishna, Founder: Sahasra Deepika International for Education.
Another 100 Ration kits were given to the needy sponsored by Arrow Mineral and Water.
The Food was served to 2400 people daily from Community Kitchen to 24 places in and around VKV KALLUBALU.

2,3 May 2020. 50 Ration kits were distributed to needy and brick factory labourers' families sponsored by Azim Premji foundation through Smt. Vijayalakshmi Ramakrishna, Founder: Sahasra Deepika International for Education.
The Food was served to 2500 people daily from Community Kitchen to 24 places in and around VKV KALLUBALU.

4,5 May 2020. 120 Ration kits were distributed to needy families in Gollahalli  village sponsored by Azim Premji foundation through Smt. Vijayalakshmi Ramakrishna,
The Food was served to 1500 people daily from Community Kitchen to 24 places in and around VKV KALLUBALU.
10 purohits and 8 others are helped with rice and groceries and cash Rs200/ totalling Rs1200/ per family by Vivekananda Kendra at bank colonies.
36th day food was served at autonagar to 200 poor by vk ,Gbrm trust,asayavaradhi 6 families were assisted with rice and groceries worth Rs655/ per family today 5th May, at saidabad anganvadi.

Vidyarambha in VKV Kallubalu

On 23/06/2018, Saturday Vidyarambha Pooja was performed in VKV Kallubalu. All the newly admitted students for Pre.KG, LKG, and UKG with their parents were invited on this occasion. 30 Parents attended the ceremony. Our well wisher Sri Adinarayan Ji with his family was also present on this occasion. They distributed slate and chalk to the students. Homa was performed by Adaraneeya Lalita Didi to seek the auspicious blessings. Parents performed Aksharabhyas to their wards.

Activity Report at VK Bangaluru

We have observed International Yoga day on 21st June 2017 at St. Philomina English School, Vidyaranyapura involving the students of the school and teachers. More than 250 students have participated in mass Yoga and Suryanamaskar program. The principal Sri Ravindra Kumar was the chief guest and he  rendered all the help  in conducting this program successfully.

​Sri Kumar Aniketh conducted the Yoga program involving all the 250 students for about 90 minutes assisted by Sri Mohan Lal, our Saha Nagar pramukh and Kumar  Prithviraj, our Karyakartha. Our committee members Sri M.R.Gurumurthy, Sri Kodnad Satyanarayana, Sri Srinivasaiah, Sanchalak  supervised the Yoga activity. The response from the students was highly encouraging.

Guru Poornima was celebrated on 9-July-2017 at Yoga Kendra of Sri Puttashamaiah and Smt Ajantha Sudheendra. Sri Chidrupa Sharma, Veda Vidwan from Bengaluru was the chief guest and Sri Puttashamaiah presided over the function.

The program started by lighting the lamp followed by  invocation by Smt Usha Sridhar. Sri MR Gurumurthy welcomed the gathering and gave an introductory reference of the chief guest Sri Chidrupa Sharma. Guru Bhajan was conducted by Sri Srinivasaiah. Sri Srinivasaiah spoke about Kendra’s activities and briefed on the significance of “OM” which has been adopted by Our Kendra as ‘Guru’.

Chief guest Sri Chidrupa Sharma spoke on the significance of Guru Poornima and explained the flow of knowledge from Vyasa and Guru-Shisya  parampara.  He gave an outline of Vyasa and Poornima and beginning of ‘Chaturmasya’ on Vyasa Poornima. He also said how our our “Poorvaacharyas” started Guru parampara.

All the participants offered flowers to ‘OM’ followed by the  ‘Prasadam’ distribution to the participants. There was an attendance of  35 people.

Vivekananda Jayanti Celebration Bangalore

On the holy occasion of Swami Vivekananda Jayanti, Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Vidyaranyapura, Bangalore branch conducted Arise Awake Swadhaya Examination on Incidents from the Life of Swami Vivekananda at 1. Regency Public school 23 students, Govt High school, Narsipura- 50 students, St. Philominas English school- 94 students, Govt High school Jakkur - 60 students , Shabari English School- 38 students. Suma Public School, Bhuvaneshwari Nagar 44 students. And in all schools Youth awareness Camp also conducted. Sri Srinvasaiahji, Nagara Sanchalak,  Sri M R Gurumurthi, Saha Nagara Sanchalaka, Sri Mohanlalji,  Sri Satyanarayanji, Sri Suresh Kumarji , Smt Veena  and Smt. Ratnamma involved in this activities.

Yoga Satra:  Yoga Satra conducted from  20.01.2017 to  29.01.2017 at Regency Public School, Vidyaanyapura. 60 people attended in this yoga satra.

Vivekananda Jayanti celebrated on 29th January at Regency Public School. 90 people attended the celebration. Sri Prahaladji, Founder,  OM Yoga Pratistana was the chief guest and Sri Srinivasaiahji, Nagara Sanchalak briefed the  Kendra activities and importance of the Day.

Gurupurnima Celebrated at Bangaluru

Vivekananda Kendra Kanuakumari, Bangalore Branch celebrated the Gurupurnima program on 23rd of July 2016 at Kendra premises. Smt. Gayatri Krishnamurthy, Pravachanakaararu and Kirthanakaararu blessed the gathering. She was with us  as  chief guest. In the beginning Srinivasaiah, Sanchalak welcomed the gathering and gave a brief introduction of the Guest. Smt Ratnamma, Vyavastha Pramukh thanked the guest and all the participants. Smt Kunda, Nagar Pramukh and Chief Trustee of Sadyojatha Charitable Trust presided over the function.  Smt Gayatri Krishnamurthy spoke about the significance of Guru and Vyasa Poornima. The speech was a mix of information, Pravachana and Kirthen about Veda Vyasa which was  appreciated by the gathering. 

Swachh Bharat Abhiyan - VKV Kallubalu

On 1st Aug 2015 teachers and students of VKV Kallubalu performed cleaning activity in Kallubalu village. Around 120 students and 10 teachers left school towards Kallubalu village around 9:30 am.Students chanted slogans beating the drum to attract the attention of people.Students distributed pamphlets which emphasized the importance of cleanliness.Cleaning activity started around 10 am and continued till next 2 Hrs. Students were divided into 5 groups according to their class and were engaged in cleaning activity under the supervision of respective class teachers. Students returned to school campus around 12 am. Kallubalu Panchayat committee appreciated the initiative.

Anandalaya : Daily 2 places going on with 90 students and 4 teachers.

Annadhanm : Every Sundays – average 150 children

Bhajan Sandhya : Every Week Anandalaya Children conducting Bhajans at 3 temples and every Saturday at Kendra.

Samartha Bharat Parva ( 25th December 2010 to 27.01.2011) & Vivekananda Jayanti

On January 1st we observed the Kalpataru Diwas. On January 3rd, 11th and 27th, organized Viveka Sandesha – Life and message of Swami Vivekananda in R T Nagar, Vijaya Nagar and Sultanpalya. Nearly 2000 people came and saw the exhibition.

On 7th January 2011, Deepa Pooja was conducted at Shiva Temple, Sultanpalya . 48 people attended the pooja. On 21st January 2011, at Kendra 16 mahilas took part in the pooja.

On 12th January, Swami Vivekananda Jayanti celebrated at Kendra. Swami Gangadharanji presides the program and Smt. Sabita Rao, Retd. Professor talk on the life and message of Swami Vivekananda. Anandalaya boys and girls given some cultural events. 200 people attended the celebration. Same Day , we celebrated Vivekananda Jayanthi at Sheshadripuram college also. Sri Raghu, Welwisher of Vivekananda Kendra was the main speaker. 160people attended the celebration.

On 14th January, Inter school patriotic song, Rangoli, Quiz on Ramayana and Mahabharat and Drama based on Incidents from Life of Swami Vivekananda organized at Kendra. 480 students from 12 schools and 2 colleges participated.

On 16th January, Inter school Kho-Kho competition organized. Sri Kumar Head Master, inuagarated the match. 10 teams from 8 schools participated in this event.

On 23rd Swami Vivekananda Jayanthi celebrated at Viveka Nagar Vistar. 51 people attended, Sri Kanakaraju spoke on Swami Vivekananda in Tamil.

In Vidyranyapura Vistar we celebrated Vivekananda Jayanti on 26th. Dr. T Gopal, was the chief guest. 68 people attended the celebration. Same day there was a Karma Yoga Shloka Sangraha competition. 19 students chanted the shlokas.

Bharat Matha Pooja performed on 26th January. 73 mahilas chanted Vishnu Sahasranama and Lalita Sahasranama shlokas on that day, at the end all offered flowers to Bharath Matha.

Swadhya Examination : On29th January, 50 students from Lalbahabur Shastry Govt College wrote the examination on Swamiji’s life and message.

Republic Day celebrated on 26th, Dr. K C Mishra, Principal of M B A College spoke on the Day.

Free Computer Class : 9 students taking training.

4 cycles given to students. Educational aid distributed to 75 students.
