The programme commenced with the prarthana, creating a serene and spiritual atmosphere. The children beautifully chanted the 4th Chapter of the Bhagavad Gita, adding a devotional touch to the celebration.
Shri Srinivas Ji, Vyavastha Pramukh, welcomed the gathering and explained the significance of Guru Purnima. This was followed by the chanting of Guru Shlokas and devotional Bhajans presented by Smt. Shylaja Didi and her group.
Shri Rajendra Ji, Nagar Sanchalak, delivered an enlightening talk on the significance of Omkara. Shri Rishikesh, Yuva Pramukh, spoke on the Guru Parampara, introduced the various activities of Vivekananda Kendra, and presented the essence of Nivedita Didi's Guru Purnima message.
Smt. Gayatri Didi, Amrit Parivar Pramukh, spoke on the glory of the Guru by sharing inspiring examples from the Guru–Shishya tradition, including Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Samarth Ramdas, Swami Vivekananda and Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa, and Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam and his teacher Shri Iyer. She also emphasized the invaluable role of mothers as the first Gurus in a child's life.
Shri Pattabhi Ramaiah Ji shared inspiring incidents from the life of Swami Vivekananda, highlighting the profound influence of his mother in shaping his character, values, and ideals.
The programme concluded with the Kendra Prarthana, leaving the participants inspired by the timeless ideals of the Guru–Shishya tradition and motivated to imbibe the values of reverence, discipline, and selfless service in their daily lives.
