Amrit Parivar Milan at Pimpri Chinchwad

Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Maharashtra Prant, Pashchim Maharashtra Vibhag, Pimpri-Chinchwad Branch, organized Amrit Parivar Milan 2026 on 23rd August 2026 with the objective of strengthening family values, affectionate interaction among Karyakartas and their family members, awareness of nation-building activities, and organizational participation. The programme was attended by 132 members from 51 families.

The programme was graced by Aadaraneeya Shri Abhayji Bapat ji, Maharashtra Prant Sanghatak; Aadaraneeya Shri Sumit Shivhare ji, Prant Sah-Sanghatak; and Aadaraneeya Shri Sachinji Ramdasi, Nagar Sanchalak.

The programme commenced with three Omkar chants and prayer, led by Pranjali Tai. This was followed by games conducted by Shri Nikhil Ji and Shri Nachiket Ji, and an energetic Action Song by Shri Sandeep Ji, creating a joyful family atmosphere.

Vistar Group Discussions

The participants were divided into four Vistar ganas—Chapekar Vistar, Savitribai Phule Vistar, Chhatrapati Vistar and Atal Vistar. The discussions focused on “What is Amrit Parivar?”, its application in personal and family life, and the concept and formation of a Sankul. Methods for strengthening and consolidating the Vistar, bringing Karyakartas and families together, and developing an effective organizational structure were also discussed.

Shri Narendra Ji presented the inspirational song “Charaiveti Charaiveti, Yahi To Mantra Hai Apna.”

Spiritual Retreat Experience

Ms. Mayuri Tai Ramdasi, who participated in the Spiritual Retreat – August 2026 for the first time, shared her experience. She spoke about the peace and positive energy she experienced in the serene surroundings of the retreat, which helped her introspect, discover herself and develop a resolve to contribute meaningfully to society.

Simhastha Kumbh Parva 2027–2028

In preparation for the Simhastha Kumbh Parva 2027–2028 in Nashik, a presentation was made on the various Seva activities of Vivekananda Kendra and their effective communication to society. The participants were encouraged to identify friends and family members interested in volunteering and share their names with the Nagar Samiti.

Nation Building through Man Making

Shri Kaushal Ji highlighted the importance of the participation of Karyakartas and their family members in nation-building activities. He emphasized the thought that when an individual develops, the family develops; when the family develops, society develops; and when society develops, the nation is built.

Thereafter, Shri Siddharth Ji introduced Aadaraneeya Shri Abhayji Bapat Ji, and Nupur Tai presented Vivek Vani.

Guidance by Aadaraneeya Shri Abhayji Bapat

Aadaraneeya Shri Abhayji Bapat Ji guided the participants on strengthening the Amrit Parivar through conscious incorporation of mother tongue (Bhasha), food habits (Bhojan), dressing (Bhusha), family communication and home atmosphere (Bhavan), prayer (Bhajan), and family outings or pilgrimages (Bhraman). He emphasized the thought, “If the family system of India remains strong and harmonious, the entire world will remain harmonious.” He also explained the pathway of “Amrit Parivar – Amrit Sankul – Nation Building.”

As a memento, participating Karyakartas and family members were presented with “Kishori va Kishor Vikas,” the July issue of “Vivek Vichar,” a Tulsi plant, and an “Amrit Parivar” sticker.

The programme concluded with Kendra Prarthana. The Milan successfully strengthened family interaction and connected the concept of Amrit Parivar with practical family life. The message of “Values through Family, Character Building through Values, and Nation Building through Character Building” was effectively reinforced, inspiring greater participation in the activities and vision of Vivekananda Kendra.

Yoga Shiksha Shivir 2026 at Sri Ramakrishna Mahasammelan Ashram, Nagdandi

A 10-day Yoga Shiksha Shivir commenced on 1 September 2026 at the Vivekananda Kendra Sri Ramakrishna Mahasammelan Ashram, Nagdandi, Achabal, Anantnag, Kashmir. The Shivir brings together 30 participants from different parts of the country for an intensive residential learning experience aimed at developing a deeper understanding of Yoga and its application in daily life.

Vivekananda Rock Memorial and Vivekananda Kendra have shared a long and meaningful association with Kashmir since 1971, serving the people of the region through various activities inspired by the ideals of Swami Vivekananda. Yoga has been a core activity of Vivekananda Kendra since 1973, with various Yoga-related programmes being conducted at the Nagdandi Ashram through the dedicated efforts of Jeevanvratis, Sevavratis and other Karyakartas. Even during the challenging period of militancy in Kashmir, Vivekananda Kendra continued to stand with the people and serve society through various activities. As part of this long-standing commitment, the Mata Kheer Bhavani Bhandara Seva was initiated and continues to this day as an expression of dedicated service to the people of Kashmir.

Comprehensive Learning in Yoga

The Yoga Shiksha Shivir provides participants with a comprehensive understanding of Yoga through a combination of theoretical sessions and practical training. Along with Yogic practices, the participants are being introduced to the broader dimensions of Yoga, including Karma Yoga, Bhakti Yoga and Jnana Yoga. This enables them to understand Yoga not merely as a system of physical practices, but as a holistic way of life based on the vision of oneness.

The daily routine of the Shivir begins at 6 a.m. and continues until 9 p.m., providing a disciplined residential environment for learning, practice and self-development. The programme aims to help participants integrate the principles of Yoga into their daily lives and develop a balanced personality through physical discipline, mental refinement, spiritual understanding and the spirit of Seva.

The Yoga Shiksha Shivir at Nagdandi is a continuation of Vivekananda Kendra’s decades-long association with Kashmir and its sustained efforts to spread the transformative message of Yoga and the ideals of Swami Vivekananda. Through the integration of Yoga and Seva, the Shivir reflects the Kendra’s continued commitment to individual development and dedicated service to society.

Inauguration of Vivekananda Yuva Vedike at Akshara PU and Degree College

Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Karnataka Prant, Jigani Nagarthan, Akshara PU and Degree College Mahavidyalayasthan conducted the inauguration programme of the Vivekananda Yuva Vedike at Akshara PU and Degree College on 19 August 2026 at 9:20 a.m. The programme was attended by 818 participants, including 780 students and 38 staff members, along with the college management and teaching staff.

The programme was graced by Principal Ms. Vani; Shri Parappa Shigli ji, Sah Pramukh, VK Kempegowda Vibhag; Shri Rishikesh Anna, Yuva Pramukh, Chamundeshwari Vibhag; and Shri Bhiman Gowda Anna, iT Pramukh, Chamundeshwari Vibhag.

The formal inauguration of the Vivekananda Yuva Vedike Committee was carried out by the Principal Ms. Vani Madam, marking an important beginning towards encouraging youth participation, leadership and social responsibility among the students.

Following the inauguration, Shri Rishikesh Anna addressed the students and spoke about the role and responsibilities of youth in building a strong and responsible society. He encouraged the students to cultivate leadership qualities, discipline, self-confidence and a spirit of service.

Shri Parappa Shigli ji explained the objectives and various activities of the Vivekananda Yuva Vedike. He highlighted how the Vedike would provide opportunities for students to participate in cultural, social, educational, leadership and service-oriented activities inspired by the ideals of Swami Vivekananda.

In her concluding address, Ms. Vani Madam highlighted the importance of the Vivekananda Yuva Vedike in the holistic development of students. She assured the college management’s, teaching staff’s and students’ full cooperation and support for the activities of the Vedike.

The programme concluded with the Shanti Mantra, led by Ms. Yogita.

The enthusiastic participation of 818 students and staff members marked the inauguration as a meaningful beginning for the students of Akshara PU and Degree College. The programme inspired the youth to imbibe the ideals of Swami Vivekananda and contribute positively to society through leadership, discipline and service.

Mananeeya Bhanudasji addresses the gathering at Rajamahendravaram Karyasthan

Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Telugu Prant, Godavari Vibhag, Rajamahendravaram Karyasthan organized a Talk programme on the topic “Actualization of Swami Vivekananda’s Dream through Vivekananda Kendra” on 21 August 2026. The programme witnessed a total participation of 42 participants and was coordinated by the organizing team of 3 members. Shri P. Viswanath Ji anchored the proceedings.

The keynote address was delivered by Mananeeya Shri Bhanudas Ji, General Secretary, Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari. Speaking on the theme, he delivered an inspiring and thought-provoking discourse on realizing Swami Vivekananda’s vision through dedicated Seva and nation-building.

Shri N. Rama Subrahmanyam,Sanyojak, Rajamahendravaram Karyasthan, gave a brief introduction to the Vivekananda Rock Memorial and Vivekananda Kendra, highlighting their vision and core initiatives.

Following this, Shri Ravi Naidu Ji, Telugu Prant Sangathak, shared insights into the various Seva activities undertaken by Vivekananda Kendra across the Telugu Prant.

The programme also received the blessings and benediction of Shri Gangi Reddy Ji, Correspondent, Aditya Degree College, Rajamahendravaram.

Bharat Mata Aarti Marks 80th Independence Day at Solapur

On the occasion of the 80th Independence Day, Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Solapur Branch and Jule Solapur Branch, jointly organized a Bharat Mata Aarti in front of the historic Mallikarjun Temple at Balives, Solapur, on 15th August 2026. The programme was held in a deeply patriotic atmosphere and witnessed the enthusiastic participation of 95 local residents. 

The programme commenced with the introductory remarks by Nagar Pramukh Sri Ravi Kantali, followed by the prayer led by Sri Sairam Bhandare. Smt. Harshada Swami and Smt. Shravani Maile performed the Bharat Mata Aarti, while Sri Ashutosh Horginmath rendered Vande Mataram. The programme was conducted by Sri Meghraj Hunche.

The programme was graced by the presence of Nagar Sevika Smt. Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha Lays Foundation Stone for Heritage Initiatives at Shri Ramakrishna Mahasammelan Ashram in Anantnag

Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Shri Manoj Sinha visited the Shri Ramakrishna Mahasammelan Ashram, Anantnag, on Sunday, 17th August 2026, and laid the foundation stone for a series of initiatives aimed at strengthening heritage preservation, cultural awareness, and the promotion of timeless spiritual values. The Ashram is owned, administered, and managed by Vivekananda Rock Memorial & Vivekananda Kendra, Kanyakumari.

During his visit, the Lieutenant Governor appreciated the efforts being undertaken at the Ashram to preserve the region’s rich cultural and spiritual heritage and highlighted the enduring relevance of values such as service, unity, compassion, and harmony.

Addressing the gathering, Shri Manoj Sinha emphasized that the timeless teachings of Sanatana traditions continue to offer valuable guidance in building a society founded on compassion, mutual respect, and service to humanity. He noted that heritage preservation extends beyond protecting physical structures and historical sites to safeguarding the values, traditions, and cultural consciousness transmitted across generations.

The foundation stone laid during the visit is expected to provide further impetus to initiatives dedicated to the preservation and promotion of the region’s cultural and spiritual heritage. A New Beginning at VK-Kaushalam: Independence Day Celebration and Bhumipujan

The 80th Independence Day of Bharat was celebrated with patriotic fervour at Vivekananda Kendra Kaushalam (Telugu Prant) on August 15, 2026.

The programme commenced with the Flag Hoisting Ceremony at 9:00 a.m., performed by Shri Ramakrishna Ji, Prant Vyavastha Pramukh, in the presence of Shri Ravi Naidu Ji, Prant Sanghatak, committee members, and Nagar Karyakartas.

Addressing the gathering, Shri Arun Gaud ji, Prakalp Pramukh, Kaushalam, reflected on the deeper meaning of independence—not merely as freedom for a nation, but also as freedom accompanied by individual responsibility. He highlighted the role of every individual in contributing to the creation of a strong, self-reliant, and responsible nation.

Shri Shiva Reddy, Karyakarta from the Cuddapah Kendra, shared his thoughts on the significance of Independence Day and expressed his feelings towards the nation and the occasion.

The gathering then joined together for the Rashtra Gaan, followed by the singing of the complete Rashtra Geet, creating an atmosphere of patriotism and national pride.

A New Beginning for Kaushalam

The Independence Day celebration also marked a significant milestone in the journey of VK-Kaushalam. Plans are underway to renovate and expand the existing facilities and introduce a range of new initiatives and activities in the redesigned centre. These developments aim to further strengthen Kaushalam as a centre for human excellence, value-based development, and service to society.

As the first step towards this transformation, the Bhumipujan of the Vighneshwara Ganapati Devalayam was performed at 11:40 a.m. on August 15, marking an auspicious beginning to the renovation and expansion activities.

The pooja was performed by Shri Ravi Sharma Garu and was attended by Shri Justice C. V. Ramulu Ji, Prant Sanchalak, along with the Prant Sanghatak, Prant Pramukh, Vibhag Pramukh, dignitaries, well-wishers, members of the land-donor families, families residing in the vicinity of Kaushalam, and Karyakartas from the Bhagyanagar, Cuddapah, and Kurnool Kendras.

The day thus became a memorable confluence of patriotism, spiritual significance, gratitude, and renewed commitment to nation-building. Ramayana Masam Celebrated with Devotion at VK-VVF Kodungallur

Vivekananda Kendra Vedic Vision Foundation,Kodungallur (Keralam Prant), organized a Ramayana Masam celebration on July 27, 2026. Held during the sacred Malayalam month of Karkidakam, the divine event took place from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the residence of Sandeepani Shishuvihar Poorva Vidhyarthi, Kumari Aparna. A devoted gathering of 20 participants came together.

Ramayana Paarayanam, guided by Kendra Karyakarta Bindu Chechi. The evening resonated with traditional family chanting, sacred rituals, and prayers aimed at invoking divine protection, fostering inner resilience, and bringing spiritual cleansing to the home and community.

Through such harmonious gatherings, the VK-VVF continues its mission of nurturing cultural values, character building, and timeless spiritual wisdom at the grassroots level. The program concluded with the Shanti Mantra.

Grand Bharat Mata Aarti Held in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar on Independence Day

On the auspicious occasion of Independence Day, Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Maharashtra Prant, Devagiri Vibhag, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar Branch, organized a grand Bharat Mata Aarti at Hotel Manor, bringing together more than 340 patriots for an evening of devotion, national pride, and collective celebration.

The success of the event was the result of two weeks of relentless, seamless coordination by a dedicated team of 15 karyakarthas who worked without a single day's break. Their tirelessness paid off exponentially, achieving a direct reach of over 800 individuals and forging strong connections across five prominent educational institutions and coaching academies. 

The gathering brought together citizens from all walks of life, including the city's First Citizen, Mayor Shri Sameer Rajurkar, who attended the event gracefully while humbly requesting that his presence not be formally announced on stage.

The programme served as an opportunity to honour Bharat Mata through the sacred Aarti, strengthen community bonds, and celebrate the spirit of freedom collectively. Beyond the celebration itself, the initiative provided the Karyakartas with valuable opportunities for team building, leadership, coordination, and community outreach.

Building on the momentum generated by the programme, Vivekananda Kendra is now preparing a structured follow-up initiative to establish Amrut Pariwars among the attendees. The initiative aims to nurture sustained patriotic values, strengthen social harmony, and deepen the Kendra's connection with families across the city in the days ahead.

Amrit Parivar Programme organized by VK Thiruvananthapuram

Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Keralam Prant, Thiruvananthapuram Branch conducted an Amrit Parivar Programme at Vikas Nagar, Vattiyoorkavu, on July 26, 2026, from 11:40 AM to 12:50 PM. The interactive gathering brought together 19 members from 5 families. 

The Programme commenced with three Omkaras and the Shantipath. Following the initial prayers, Adarneeya Priyamvada Didi introduced Adarneeya Radha Didi to the attendees, setting a welcoming tone for the session. The atmosphere was further elevated as everyone joined in singing a soulful patriotic song in a lead-and-follow format. 

Addressing the gathered families, Adarneeya Radha Didi, Keralam Prant Sangathak, Vivekananda Kendra delivered an insightful talk emphasizing the vital role of values in daily life. She highlighted that living by core values gives life purpose, builds resilience against challenges, and that truth remains human nature's foundational aspect. 

She encouraged parents to cultivate an open household environment where children feel safe communicating freely about any subject, even after making mistakes. Resonating with this advice, a mother shared a recent incident involving her daughter, receiving heartfelt appreciation from the audience for her openness. The session continued with an engaging value-based game inspired by Radha Didi’s discourse, followed by a devotional Hanumanji Bhajan.

The meaningful gathering concluded peacefully with a short meditation and the Shantimantra.

YCC-10 द्विदिवसीय आवासीय कैम्प का आयोजन असम, गुवाहाटी द्वारा

विवेकानन्द केन्द्र कन्याकुमारी, असम, गुवाहाटी में 15 एवं 16 अगस्त 2026 को YCC-10 द्विदिवसीय आवासीय कैम्प का सफ़ल एवं भव्य आयोजन किया गया। इस दो दिवसीय कैम्प का शुभारंभ 78वें स्वतंत्रता दिवस के गरिमामय समारोह के साथ हुआ, जिसमें कुल 7 उत्साही प्रतिभागियों ने सहभागिता की।

कैम्प के दौरान प्रतिभागियों को राष्ट्रीय पदाधिकारी आदरणीय श्री रवि शर्मा जी एवं माननीया श्रीमती कल्पना महतो जी का अमूल्य एवं प्रेरणादायी मार्गदर्शन प्राप्त हुआ। साथ ही स्थानीय पदाधिकारियों एवं कैम्प आयोजकों में श्री सुब्रत मुखर्जी जी सहित सभी कार्यकर्ताओं ने अपनी समर्पित उपस्थिति से व्यवस्थाओं को सुचारू और प्रभावकारी बनाया। दोनों दिनों की दिनचर्या अत्यंत अनुशासित एवं ऊर्जावान रही, जिसकी शुरुआत प्रातःकालीन योगाभ्यास से होती थी।

कैम्प में विभिन्न महत्वपूर्ण विषयों पर गहराई से प्रकाश डालते बौद्धिक सत्र आयोजित किए गए, जिनके साथ कर्मयोग, गीतापाठ, ध्यान और योग-विज्ञान से जुड़ी विविध व्यावहारिक तकनीकों का अभ्यास कराया गया।

यह आवासीय कैम्प केवल शारीरिक अभ्यास तक सीमित न रहकर प्रतिभागियों के लिए योग को एक संपूर्ण जीवन-पद्धति और आत्मविकास के सशक्त माध्यम के रूप में आत्मसात करने का एक सुंदर अवसर साबित हुआ।

80th Independence Day Celebrated with Patriotic Zeal at VKV Kanyakumari

Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Kanyakumari celebrated the 80th Independence Day with immense patriotic zeal and fervour at the school grounds on August 15, 2026, beginning at 8:30 a.m. The celebration witnessed the enthusiastic participation of 1,218 people.

The programme commenced with a formal invocation, followed by the traditional flag-hoisting ceremony, the National Anthem, and the National Pledge. After a warm welcome address by Kum. Harshitha of Class IX, the gathering witnessed a synchronized mass drill performance and insightful speeches on the significance of Independence Day. Kum. S. Abira of Class VI delivered her address in English, while Kum. L. K. Swetha spoke in Hindi. Kum. A. J. Mathisha of Class XII B served as the Master of Ceremonies.

The Chief Guest, Dr. Thanu Kumari, Principal of Cape Institute of Technology, Levinchipuram, delivered an inspiring address, urging students to honour national and regional icons such as Rani Velu Nachiyar, Tiruppur Kumaran, and Bhagat Singh. Recalling the sacrifices associated with the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre, she emphasized the value of remembering the struggles of India's freedom fighters. Quoting Swami Vivekananda and Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam, she encouraged the youth to dream big, cultivate an optimistic outlook, and embrace their responsibilities as future citizens of the nation.

The celebration continued with vibrant Hindi and Tamil musical performances, a traditional Tamil drama depicting the life and valour of Maaveeran Alagumuthu Kone, an expressive dance performance, a spirited Lezim folk display, and a coordinated school band performance.

Presiding over the function, Mananeeya Hanumanta Rao ji, Vice-President of VRM & VK, highlighted that August 15 also marks the birth anniversary of Sri Aurobindo. He emphasized the role of schools as laboratories for character development, where students are trained to discipline their minds, imbibe moral values, and grow into disciplined and purpose-driven individuals who cherish India's rich cultural heritage.

The grand celebration concluded with a prize distribution ceremony, followed by the presentation of a memento to the Chief Guest. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by B. S. Ashvika of Class IX, followed by the traditional Shanti Mantra.

VKV Kallubalu Celebrates 80th Independence Day with Patriotic Fervour

Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Kallubalu (Karnataka Prant) celebrated India’s 80th Independence Day with immense national pride and patriotic fervour. Held on August 15, 2026, from 8:45 AM to 11:15 AM at the PT Usha Ground, the celebration witnessed the participation of 447 people, including 320 students, 83 parents, 22 teachers, 13 alumni, 7 committee members, and 2 special guests.

The auspicious occasion commenced with the soulful rendition of Vande Mataram, followed by the ceremonial flag hoisting conducted in the distinguished presence of the Chief Guest, Lt. Col. Pardeep Dalal, Officer Commanding, Karnataka and Kerala Sub Area Signal Section. The celebrations unfolded with a disciplined and impressive March Past performed by the school band under the leadership of Sri Parappa ji. 

The cultural segment featured a diverse range of artistic presentations, beginning with the Naada Geethe by Class X students and a Raita Geete presented by Sri Parappa ji. Following an insightful talk on the significance of Independence Day by Smt. Chandrakala Basavaraj Ji, students showcased their talents through a adorable Fancy Dress presentation by KG children, energetic group dances led by Kum. Thanushree and Kum. Kruthi, and a patriotic drama. A poignant highlight of the event was a special musical tribute dedicated to Shaheed Captain M.V. Pranjal, Shourya Chakra (Posthumous), performed by the Vaishnavi team. 

In his address, Chief Guest Lt. Col. Pardeep Dalal delivered an inspiring speech, motivating the young minds to embody responsible citizenship and actively contribute to the nation's growth. The 80th Independence Day celebration successfully instilled a profound sense of unity, discipline, and national pride across the entire school community.

आध्यात्मिक एवं सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रम का आयोजन उत्तर प्रांत द्वारा

विवेकानन्द केन्द्र कन्याकुमारी उत्तर प्रांत के तत्वावधान में कार्यस्थान मयूर विहार फेज 3 की कार्यकारिणी एवं कार्यकर्ताओं द्वारा एक आध्यात्मिक एवं सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रम का सफल आयोजन दिनांक 8 अगस्त 2026 को संपन्न किया गया। जिसमें कुल 8 सदस्यों की उत्साहजनक उपस्थिति रही।

कार्यक्रम में भारतीय संस्कृति, गुरु परंपरा और धार्मिक अनुष्ठानों पर विचार-विमर्श किया गया। इस अवसर पर एक विशेष सत्र का आयोजन हुआ, जिसमें श्री रमन जी ने मुख्य वक्ता के रूप में विचार व्यक्त किए। उन्होंने अपनी क्षेत्रीय भाषा मलयालम में गुरु के माहात्म्य का सुंदर एवं भावपूर्ण वर्णन किया। उन्होंने समझाया कि जीवन में गुरु का स्थान सर्वोपरि है और किस प्रकार एक सच्चा गुरु साधक को अज्ञान के अंधकार से निकालकर ज्ञान के प्रकाश की ओर ले जाता है।

इसके साथ ही, कार्यक्रम में दक्षिण भारत (विशेषकर केरल) की एक अत्यंत पवित्र परंपरा पर विशेष प्रकाश डाला गया। रमन जी ने बताया कि इस माह 15 जुलाई से 15 अगस्त के दौरान केरल समाज में 'रामायण मास' कर्किडकम माह मनाया जाता है। इस अवधि में केरल के लोग प्रतिदिन अपने-अपने घरों में श्रद्धा एवं भक्ति भाव से रामायण पारायण करते हैं। इस परंपरा का उद्देश्य घर में सकारात्मक ऊर्जा का संचार करना और भावी पीढ़ी को अपने सांस्कृतिक एवं नैतिक मूल्यों से जोड़ना है।

कार्यक्रम के अंत में सभी उपस्थित सदस्यों ने विवेकानन्द केन्द्र कन्याकुमारी के सिद्धांतों का अनुसरण करते हुए समाज सेवा और राष्ट्र निर्माण के प्रति अपनी प्रतिबद्धता दोहराई। यह आयोजन भाषाई विविधता में सांस्कृतिक एकता का एक सुंदर उदाहरण सिद्ध हुआ।

Bhajan Sandhya and Ramayana Parayanam Mark 80th Independence Day at VK Hebbal

 

On the occasion of the 80th Independence Day of Bharat, on Saturday, August 15, 2026, Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Karnataka Prant, Kempegowda Vibhag, Hebbal Branch, organized an uplifting Bhajan Sandhya and Ramayana Parayanam. Held from 4:00 PM to 8:30 PM, the devotional gathering brought together 65 participants for an evening rooted in devotion, cultural heritage, and spiritual reflection.

The program commenced with the traditional Deepa Prajwalana and prayer. This was followed by an insightful talk on the timeless wisdom of the Ramayana, highlighting the virtues, ideals, and righteous path exemplified by Sri Rama. The gathering then seamlessly transitioned into the Ramayana Parayanam, where sacred verses were recited in unison, filling the hall with powerful spiritual vibrations.

The evening reached its devotional peak with a soulful Bhajan Sandhya, where melodious bhajans immersed everyone present in a shared experience of joy and reverence. 

Concluding at 8:30 PM, the event left all 65 attendees spiritually enriched and deeply connected through their collective remembrance of Lord Rama.

Guru Purnima Celebrated at Tirupathi

Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Telugu Prant, Balaji Vibhag, Tirupati Branch, in association with Penubala College of Physiotherapy, organized a Guru Purnima celebration at the college on July 27, 2026. The programme witnessed the enthusiastic participation of 110 people.

The sacred occasion was graced by distinguished guests, including Sri C. H. Venkatesh Prasad Garu, Sri Surendra Reddy Garu, Sri Vijayaram Garu, and Smt. Parameswari Garu. Special honours were accorded to Shri Ritdev Babaji, Patanjali’s Central & South India Coordinator, who was felicitated along with Sri Somesh Bandla, Chairman of Sankalpa Hospital, in recognition of their dedication to expanding Yoga Sadhana and promoting Swadeshi products.

The programme featured inspiring addresses by the dignitaries. Sri Cherukuri Venkatesh Prasad Garu spoke on the profound significance of Guru Purnima in the light of the teachings of Swami Vivekananda. Smt. Parameswari Garu introduced the youth-centric mission and activities of Vivekananda Kendra, inspiring students to engage in nation-building activities. Smt. Penubala Chandra Shekar Garu encouraged the students to develop social awareness and connect with transformative organizations such as Vivekananda Kendra and Patanjali.

The programme concluded with the Shanti Mantra.

Guru Purnima Celebrated with Gita Sloka Recitation Competition at Nagole

Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Telugu Prant, Hyderabad Vibhag, Nagole Branch, celebrated Guru Purnima with a Gita Sloka Recitation Competition at Snehapuri Colony on July 25, 2026, at 4:00 PM. The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation across age groups, with 10 children below 5 years, 12 children aged 6–10 years, 18 youth aged 10–16 years, and 6 judges taking part.

The programme commenced with three Omkars, followed by the Shanti Path, eleven Omkar chants, and Pushparchana by all participants. The event was presided over by Sri Arun Goud ji, Sah Vibhag Pramukh, along with the President and Secretary of the Snehapuri Colony Welfare Society. They welcomed and appreciated the initiatives undertaken by Vivekananda Kendra and the women’s wing of the colony.

Addressing the gathering, Sri Arun Goud ji spoke about the practical relevance of the Bhagavad Gita in family life. He highlighted how regular recitation of Gita slokas can help improve concentration among children and enable them to study more effectively. As part of the Amrit Parivar initiative, he encouraged parents to recite two slokas every day, enabling them to complete the entire Bhagavad Gita within a year. He also explained the vision of Amrit Yatra and encouraged families to plan and participate in Amrit Yatra 2027.

The programme received active support from Gita practitioners Kum. Prathusha Hari, Kum. Anjani Krishna, and Kum. Pallavi, along with parents and judges. The event concluded with the distribution of prizes and participation certificates to the participants, followed by the Shanti Mantra.
