The observation of Universal Brotherhood Day was held by a Webinar on 21st September, 2020 between 7- 8p.m. organized by Bangla Prakashan Vibhag of Paschimbanga Pranta.
Program started with 3 Omkaras and Shanti path followed by the inaugural song by Susri Anindita Gupta,member of Bangla Prakashan Vibhag. Shri Joydip Banerjee, karyakarta bangla prakashan vibhag delivered the Welcome speech followed by presentation of the Chicago speech by Shri Vidyapati Chakraborty .
Ma. Dr Purnendu Shekhar Das, the retired Principal, now one of the members of Bangla Prakashan Vibhag, esteemed speaker of the program focused on the history of Christopher Columbus' discovery of America and its relation with the Parliament of Religions,1893 on Exclusive and Inclusive Religion and concluded his speech with a brief note on Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari.
Ma. Someswar Boral,a writer and social worker, delivered his speech with an emphasis on developing the Brotherhood spirit .He appealed that we should make genuine attempt to unite the whole world in a bond of brotherhood. The initial part and the concluding part of the Chicago speech of Swami Vivekananda were read out in Bengali by Smt. Sathi Malakar ,member of Prakashan Vibhag and Smt Soma Chatterjee, respectively.
Vote of thanks was given by Smt. Malabika Chatterjee, Bangla Prakashan Vibhag Pramukh. The Program concluded with Santi mantra by Su Vanita Jharkhandi. The whole program was compered by Smt. Rupali De Mondal , Karyakarta of Bangla Prakashan Vibhag. 67 people joined online on this auspicious occasion.
